What are your experiences with it?

Some guy on YT bought two and they both were shooting way, way low even at short distance. Granted it's not a target gun, but that sample size of 2 turned me off slightly.

I have an LCP 2, it's accurate and reliable. Wouldn't try to make a shot out past ~15 yards. The main draw is the low cost and small size.

So why then do you not think it's capable past close range?

Bought one, magazine would randomly fall out. Sent it back to ruger, they replaced the frame. Works good now.
I carry it IWB with the 12 rd mag loaded with precision one XTPs.

Guy was probably a shit shot. I’ve put about 300 rounds through mine and carry it every day.

Only problem I had was it didn’t want to lock back on an empty mag in the first 150 rounds.

It’s a light gun with good capacity. It’s thinner than the old lcp which makes it more comfortable while shooting. It can be carried easily which is the main draw of this gun since that’s all you’ll be doing with it 99% of the time.

good little pocket guns. if you live in a warm climate, tack on the price of a cerakote job, or find one with a coated slide like in OP. Otherwise, the slide and mag catch will rust if you carry it for a day

He's flinching. I have one, I've shot plenty of them, it doesn't shoot low.

I have the LCP Max and have put over 500 rounds through it so far. My only complaint is that slide will randomly lock open some times. I have 7 different magazines, all ruger brand, and they all do this. It's not predictable either, sometimes it will lock open on the 3rd round and other times on the 9th round.

That seems like a pretty fricking big deal on a defense pistol

This happened to my GF a lot when she shoots it and it’s her grip hitting the slide catch. It didn’t happen to me when I started shooting it. It was going to be her gun but she limp wrists too much. It could be your grip especially if you have big hands.

        >This happened to my GF a lot when she shoots it and it’s her grip hitting the slide catch.
That could be the cause, I have yet to find a comfortable place to put my other thumb when shooting. I don't have big hands but I do have really long fingers.

Wrap your left thumb across the base of your left index finger. Its not ideal but the gun doesnt need a whole lot of holding.

My dads GF shot it last night and had issues hitting the slide catch. We put about 150 rounds through it between the 4 of us and the magazine catching only was happening with her often, but my dad a few times until he got the hang of it.

I think the best way is to grip it firmly and with your thumb wrapped around your fingers. Then your off hand wrapping around your shooting hand and not allowing the gun to move much while shooting. I was making 5 in groups at 25 yards away pretty well.

It seems like since it can be snappy with a poor grip it can ride down and have the slide catch hit your hand.

just got the lcp max and immediately was shooting it better than my 43x. I am admittedly not good with glocks but for the size it’s great

    >shooting way low with a micro compact gun
This is almost certainly due to technique. Micro compacts aren’t the easiest things to shoot accurately. I used to be really bad with my LCP until I practiced a lot with it.

My Max is on point but it's hard to shoot with my big hands and it's light weight. I'd say it's a good gtfo me gun but if you really need serious defense I personally carry an mp 2.0 compact. The strength of the max is incredible though. I tie the drawstring on basketball shorts and put my holster and spare mag holder on and people can't really see it and I have 25 rounds of critical defense .380 on tap. That's huge. So I'd say it isn't perfect but it is pretty damn awesome.

Common among many accounts Ive read:
    >Starts rusting before you even get it out of the box
    >Size leads to snappiness such that your thumb is constantly hitting the mag release
    >Just too snappy in general
I wish they made lcp max in 32ACP, it would be perfect.
