advertising is always searching for lowest common denominator, and I assume brands of more niche hobbies try to appeal to people that generally wouldn't be interested because the people who ARE interested in the hobby don't have much of a choice to begin with

Oh Jesus. Is that what you use those pockets for? I just put shit in there like medical or batteries.

Where are you from that you put food in there?

I fill every extra pocket or available space with loose skittles and moon cheese just in case.

The irony is you can't afford a pack with those side pockets... which is why you clearly don't know what they're used for.

i see a lot of chubbers in merells, i think its just because its a popular entry level boot/hiking shoe brand and most people who are gonna invest in higher end stuff skew towards people who hike more often, which aren't gonna be fatties. lot easier to justify $400 on boots when you're out 3 times a week.

I see lots of outdoor workers like park rangers wearing merrels. I bought my first pair of moabs on the advice of a ranger.

Exceptionally rare to see male lards inclooded in corporate apparel advertising campaigns. The usual fat acceptance virtue-signaling exclusively depicts men built like Adonis modeling activewear and outdoor apparel; when you switch filters on their storefronts to show women's apparel, you get a faceful of obese black women.

The woke propagandists accidentally got one thing half-right, because lards do need to go the frick outside so that they can maybe stop being lards.

scotch before bed gives me nightmares. Vodka is the better choice and they're simply vivid instead.

I've noticed this as well but I can't find much on the internet about it. There does seem to be something about scotch that when you sweat it out, you get nightmares. Vodka you still sweat it out but for some reason you don't get tortured in your own mind like with whiskey.

Yeah weird add considering it's well known fact showing the models customers look up on makes those customers get the merchandise "to be like thir role models". But what really structs me is:
black chick is laughing at him
white chick is laughing at him
He will die inside when he'll finally realize they laughed at him not with him

All these outdoor brands are all simultaneously advertising shit about inclusivity and race. They are capitalizing on this woke race shit to
    >A. Virtual signal
    >B. Get more people outdoors so they can make more money

I tried to cancel my REI membership for such reasons but they told me it was "a lifetime membership" so I have resorted to just not shopping there anymore.
Keen and Columbia on this woke shit too

      >woke company won't cancel my membership
They will when you send them an email full of racist slurs

They are great shoes, though. I've used a pair of MOAB 2 for like six years and recently bought some trail runners that are even better.

But yeah seeing their advertising makes me embarrassed to wear their products. I honestly don't mind the black woman because every single western ad has to have at least one black person but why make the white guy fat? It makes your product look like it is for people that pick up a hobby and drop it two weeks later
