You know that the Russians are going to be walking all over the blast area looking for fragments, right? And they'll undoubtedly trumpet what they find all over social media, right?

So if ATACMS was used, you'll probably hear about it. And if not, you'll probably hear about it.

So far, Ukraine has stated repeatedly that their own domestically-produced missiles were used. There's no reason to doubt that.

The distance, precision, volume and nature of the strike as well as the political implications give more than enough reason for doubt.

            >“This was an air base from which planes regularly took off for attacks against our forces in the southern theater,” the official said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive military matters. The official would not disclose the type of weapon used in the attack, saying only that “a device exclusively of Ukrainian manufacture was used.”

An anonymous source in a western paper is not an official statement. As far as I know ukraine is officially denying responsibility they way they have with the belgorod strikes

      >And they'll undoubtedly trumpet what they find all over social media, right?
They won't. Russians are afraid to death of NATO, that's why they would rather say it was a smoking accident even if they find ATACMS

I have a feeling the Ukrainians used their design but had the parts made overseas. Smart move gives the supplier plausible deniability while making the Russians panic.

This. I think the Hrim-2 was finished with foreign help and expertise. The program was well underway before the war.

This takes it beyond any doubt of being a missile attack, right? You can see specific impact craters.

What about air launched missiles? Do they travel further because they don’t need to be launched into the atmosphere first so they use less fuel? We’ve heard that Russia’s air defenses have been hit by anti-radiation missiles, and if they had no air defenses active then it could’ve been done by a sneaky Ukrainian plane?

      > So far, Ukraine has stated repeatedly that their own domestically-produced missiles were used
      They haven’t said that

A popular theory right now is that a HARM anti radiation missile was used for the ruskie air defenses, and Ukraine used a GRIM-2 missile(s). Which aren't OFFICIALLY in production or past prototype phase... but that was also years ago. I would imagine if these missiles had western supervision and technology involved in their R&D, it would eliminate the trademark slavshit dogshit accuracy

See, this is what I've been suspecting. The missiles were ukrainian built, but using some US supplied components. Dare we hope that the US continues to supply such components?

Where are they building these missiles, the Carpathian Mountains?
This seems like the compromise the US/EU was willing to make with Ukraine over ballistic missiles. They give the Ukies anti-radiation missiles to clear the way for domestic rockets to hit targets in Russia.

In Poland probably. It is all hush hush though.

Awww. I was hoping for more destruction. But at least a number of planes were hit and destroyed, thus degrading the vatBlack folk air capability in the area.
It also explains the extreme amount of vatBlack person cope that started yesterday and spilled over into today.
