Given we saw pictures of them still rocking it in the aftermath of the attack on the Russian airbase, they still have them though whether someone sold the ammo for vodka is a different question.
How many AIM-9s can you fit in the bomb bay of a B-52?
B52 has 70,000 lb payload, sidewinder weighs 188 lbs, so a b52 could take 372 sidewinders.
Sidewinder cost around $400,000 apiece, so that single b52s payload would cost $148,800,000

that would take the rapid dragon into the scale of:
>BUFF-Dragon
I think it would make the B-52 the first in class "Defender" it would BD-52. Still a funny thought to imagine a B-52 doing an air-patrol and dropping 372 sidewinders at an incoming air wing. it would make them eat shit as a cascade of missiles just made them have to dance like a brick on the wind, fuck-all air-maneuverability, that is just pure unadulterated area denial. way as well call it the skyship or air born destroyer. hell even if we had just an AIM-sidewinder cluster in a bombing run it would save on the fighter escort.
it has always been to my understanding that the Russians are so incompetent in aircraft design that almost all of their bombers can barely get off the ground when empty let alone with a combat load. That the number one cause of loss for their bombers was crash on take-off or landing. so much so was this a joke that there was a game made specifically to help you understand how hard this is.
just for reference: >TU-95

B-52H can equip a sniper pod and has a higher flight ceiling. The Tu-95 is getting a cruise missile to the face before it can establish visual contact.
Newest B-52 variants (updated from H) are getting AN/APG-79 radars. It's not entirely impossible you could configure them to shoot AIM-120s and AIM-260s once they enter service.
B-52 has had it's tail gun removed, so I'm gonna give it to the TU-144 on the basis of it having the only guns in the dog fight.
>implying the tail gun wasn't removed and welded onto an MT-LB

As many as the Arizona has turrets.
considering picrel is the Tu-144 and not OP's pic, my money is on the B-52
First of all that's a Tu-95.
Second of all assuming the Pilots are the same skill, I'd give it to the Tu-95 it still has a tail Gun.

Space is probably more of a concern then weight with any sort of A2A payload.

The B-52 can carry a fuck ton of JDAMs
A heavy bomber can carry a lot of bombs? Shock and surprise!
Yes, look at the headline in the pic. It can outrun, outclimb and then drop a fuck ton of JDAMs to get the air to air kill
I my money on the B-1.
Tu-22M3 looks sick
and flies like shit
You see the crew fall out, and then get crushed by the fireball.
fap
Front fell off.

2 out of 4 vatniks survived
It'll be interesting to see if the B-21 gets the ability to carry a large number of AMRAAMs.
>Asking about the outcome of a dogfight
>Posts planes instead
Anon, I...
Hardmode*
The only thing either plane can carry in the bomb bay to drop on the other is a shitload of kettlebells.
Who wins?
I don’t think any of those planes can do a loop without exploding
in what scenario would these planes ever dogfight each other?

no guns
no missiles
final destination only
Allow me to introduce myself
>1600 AMRAM
>4000+ Hellfires
>170 AGM-86
That's a fucking Ace Combat end boss right there.
this is so retarded, that thing handles like shit

garden gnome
can you put gun pods on b52 external pylons?
