Do people not realize that greyman just means dressing normally? Even wearing camos can be a greyman attire depending if its fashionable or if you're dressing up like a homeless vet.

Depends very much on where you live. In Louisiana, for example, camo is absolutely gray man attire.

rothco isn't even tactical. it's inventory fodder for "military surplus" (yeah right!) stores to appear they have a healthier inventory than they really do.

          Anonymous

Yea, rothco is basically fodder for military surplus stores. And they are also more expensive than actual surplus when it comes pricings. Rothco is only good if you're looking for urban camos, aside from.that, their quality is shit and made in china.

I find camo tops (shirts/jackets) work and look better for more people than camo pants. I think it's because you can layer and fit things better with a coat rather than cargo pants which always look sloppy.

      Anonymous

I largely agree, but you can elevate a single piece worn with casual clothing from fine to based by what you're pairing it with. If you're wearing blue collar, tradesman stuff it'll be fine but if you pair it with a more classic WASP-y, Ivy look, not frat bro, it takes it back to BASED since it now looks much more like an intentional style choice. However, if you pair a single camo piece with a bunch of non-camo milsurp or milsurp repros like an M-65, jump boots, and such, it quickly falls back into cringe.

Yes, they do. Although you will find more luck finding it at a thrift store/ebay than a mil surplus store. I get it because combat 95s were comfy but it does trigger me seeing them unironed or kids walking around with jacket pockets open. I once asked a girl I saw in a club a lot whether she wanted me to teach her how to polish her boots because seeing the neglected state they were in was painful.

True. But dabbing on mil fanatics is OK in male apparel too.

It works well where you wan't some detail, but don't want specific patterns or labels or with clothing that might get wet, dirty or wear unevenly. Plain color or predictable artwork will instantly look damaged and bad under such conditions.

It's pretty much equivalent to what the fedora was a decade ago. It attracts autistic twerps who think it makes them look cool, and in doing so, makes it profoundly uncool. I have never seen someone wearing (military) camo in public that didn't look like a deranged incel who would fall over in a slight breeze. As with anything, though, if you can pull it off, then it doesn't matter either way.

I wouldn't say that. Although my gripes with them is that they never bother getting surplus in their size. They are usually too baggy for their figure in question.

Surplus is cheap and durable as shit. Usually cheaper than any pants on civilian market and Cost like 15 dollars.

          Anonymous

To be fair, military surplus is decently made for what they are priced at second hand. Along with them having fashion potential, so not like people buy them because its a flex to being poor.

I have no issues with military surplus. The blankets are great. But if you're wearing military pants or jacket you're either taking dick, very PrepHole or a massive larper.

CAT clothes are not that bad. Although in my opinion, their pants are overpriced for what they are.

It really depends on two major factors and several minor ones
    1) is the person wearing the camo an active duty soldier on his way to base/ going on leave OR is he a clear reservist goint go or coming back from refreshment/other activity
    2) is it a full suit or is it paracore
Then the minor ones to consider is it real camo, ist it some cringe PrepHoleshionshit fake camo, is it that gray/pink garbage worn by skinheads, feminists, is it traffic cops wearing camo hding in bushes for a speeding trap etc etc etc
Mostly I don't care if it is no.1, if it's PrepHoleke or cringe then it is.

    >Be too fat to wear

Now I just wear the trousers while hiking, gardening, or hunting. Not a single fray or tear in them over a decade later, gotta love German quality.

        This

Not him, but diet and exercise.

        t. 250lbs in October, down to <225lbs presently
This isn't a jab, but force yourself to practice self-control. I used to inhale food, but over these last few months I've been able to get by on two small meals a day. It's a challenge, but with enough time you'll notice that you'll start having fewer cheat days and that the cheat days you do take don't even involve that much more food than your new usual. I exercise semi-frequently, but dropping my snacking habits and reducing meal size and frequency have have been unbelievably productive decisions.
You can do it, anon. Just set your mind to it and keep sight of your goal.

What's that meme where the two guys pass each other, and one backhandedly insults the other, which results in the second guy making up some story about it on the internet?
Well, anyway, that dude looks like one of them.

I have British MTP-pattern windproof trousers which I use on motorcycle, very good for that purpose and even holds water a bit. I´ve been trying to find a new pair thats a bit smaller in size. Other than that I barely use camo items in public unless im hunting or taking a walk innawoods with the dog.
I do own that autistic as frick mil-tec assault backpack which i dont even remember buying, which is pretty good when you go out drinking with friends

I mean, they kind of were before they got zogged by commercialism. XXX should've been a documentary for most metal heads. Shame they're losers now outside of the Nordics.
