out of the prewar T-80 fleet of 480, Russians have lost at least 400 T-80 variants. Actually quite impressive numbers
The T-64/80 line of tanks probably was the only T-series crap that WASN'T a dissapointment, and ukrs love the T-80BVM

You don't see any T-80s in the war because Russia didn't have that many to begin with and the majority of them got destroyed in the first few months.
T-80 was the superior Soviet design but because of debacle that was Chechen war it had it's reputation destroyed and made almost all available development went into T-72/T-90
They donated all of them to Ukraine
