imagine the sperging Oinkers would do if they say russian soldiers with an SKS.
Yet there's eerie silence when Oinkers are caught with an m14/m1a.

Where were you months ago when they were issuing mosins to frontline troops. The world laughed.

my point was that laughing at ANY weapon capable of shooting bullets is moronic.

a mosin, an sks AND an m14 can kill you easily; yet oinkers are silent about the m14 and would create endless threads of ruskies used SKS's.

two of those designs are seriously obsolete and hilariously obsolete, and it isn't the M14. There's also the issue of the russian army, the second army in the world, not having enough AK74s to equip their proxies.

America has to be careful about how quickly it gives Ukraine its outdated Cold War-era equipment because if they give stuff as recent as 1990s tech Russia might see that as "overt escalation" and rattle their nuclear saber a little too loud.

Same reason the Soviets left. What idiots in both nations could not understand is military force is not sufficient to fix popular resistance and indifference at "whole society" level and does not confer ANY ability to compel a dispersed enemy to give up their cause.

When you cannot compel your opponent to cease fighting you cannot win no matter how pretty your toys.

You are not remembering correctly. His group got money and training via Pakistan and the Saudis and he certainly made a name for himself locally, but the key players during USSR involvement were the guys actively involved in the power struggle in Kabul then the subsequent Civil War until the taliban came in and wrecked house. Bin Laden gained some largesse early on in the conflict with the USSR, but used that to invest in other Islamic movements in places like Africa. Steve Coll has a few excellent books on this: Ghost Wars and an indirect sequel talking about US, Afghn, and Pakistani relations during the GWOT called Directorate S.

Bin Laden was a go between for Saudi foreign fighters who were traveling to Afghanistan to help repel the Communists, and the Taliban. The Pushtins didn't take kindly to the Saudi fighters trying to "teach" them about Islam. They also didn't like the fact that many of these foreign fighters weren't there to fight, but to be Martyred. These were radicalized surplus young men that the regime sent to die in Afghanistan. The Afgans were about killing their enemy, not the other way around. Bin Laden smoothed all that out. He also used his family's earth moving equipment (they were big into construction) to dig defenses, and hospitals. He was strafed once by enemy aircraft while he was building fortifications for the Taliban. He led troops against the Invaders on at least one occasion.

The amount of troops they currently have is the base amount they can actively shove some half rusted piece of shit AK into the hands of and ship off. The amount of shelling and other means of attacking is the base amount they can afford to do. Its not that they DONT have supplies its that they dont have proper logistics to distribute them or manufacture them fast enough for a large standing army. If they try to shove a bunch of people at the problem half of them are going in with t shirts and flashlights.

Na its just you will see what you want to see because you are delusional. The simple fact is that logistics and supply is FAR more important than practically any other facet of modern warfare and the Russians have proven themselves to be absolutely inept at it. They have tanks but they are all in disrepair sitting in a field rusting out. They have guns but they are all boxed away in warehouses rusting out because they arent properly stored. They have weapon factories that are sputtering and not producing enough so badly they are buying shells from the fricking north Koreans.

If your tanks are in a field and not running you dont have any tanks to deploy. If your guns are all boxed away and in likely poor condition you dont have any guns to distribute. If you dont have a competent logistics operation the "quantity" of arms you have doesnt mean a fricking thing because you cant move them where they are needed. The US isnt the strongest military in the world because it has the newest toys. Its the strongest because it has the logistical capability to supply its forces in ways other countries can only DREAM of. The toys are a bonus.

If the US were fighting this war it would have never devolved into batteries and counter batteries. The other side wouldnt have artillery available after the first day or two. Say what you want about how the US fights but their strong suit recently has always been precision munitions dropped with impunity from total air supremacy.

                War is complicated.
To actually get to Crimea will mean killing or routing potentially hundreds of thousands of Russians, which takes time and consumes vast amounts of fuel and ammunition
Thus, the Ukrainians require time to stockpile the necessary resources, plan the attack, generate the required force in the required areas, shape the battlefield conditions appropriately and most importantly of all, ensure sufficient logistical support will be available.
Given that Crimea is a peninsula whose entrance is located within currently Russian held territory, an important prerequisite for its liberation is the liquidation of all Russian forces in southern Ukraine, which is also an operation requires all of the extensive planning and preparation mentioned above and then some more besides.
For these reasons and more, Ukraine has not liberated Crimea yet
                yet.

Its also good to remember that while Crimea was taken by Russia it was taken a decade ago so trying to reclaim it now might sour foreign relations. Its one thing to defend yourself and its another to start waging an offensive war into "foreign" territory. Crimea belongs to Ukraine but taking it back right now when they need the support of the west is probably a mistake.

Ukraine left the Soviet Union in 1991! It is a different, discrete country that is not part of Russia. Now it will never be part of Russia ever again. Crimea is not part of Russia. Now it will never be part of Russia ever again. The Yooks will kill any Russians that contest this. Those are the facts on the ground. Deal with it.

The only thing i was saying in that post is that if Ukraine went and started offensive actions into territory they havnt owned in a decade it might cause tensions with the UN and US. It SHOULD be theirs and they SHOULD reclaim it but invading it right now if they have the chance is probably a mistake. Currently it is "foreign" land because Russia stole it and held on to it for so long.

Bleed Russia, kill vatnigs, further their demographic decline, aid other like Chechens who hate Russia but cut a deal with Russia itself to let the same oligarcy keep abusing vatniks while exporting resources so Russia continues its path to Snowgeria. The bugs will buy the east.

Black person how moronic are you. Ukraine has an excuse as it's not the supposed second most powerful nation in the world. Russia claimed it was that powerful nation yet issued literal Mosins to its troops. Ukraine, as they were fighting on the defensive for the first half of the war, needed to use anything it could possibly find to defend against the Russians until major Western support could arrive and thus yes, the argument of "if it shoots it's fine" applies. After all, Ukraine was supposed to be an incredibly weak country compared to Russia and the fact that Russia couldn't even take Kyiv despite the massive power difference is fricking hilarious to anyone not sucking Russias dick, as it confirms what many of us knew all along, that Russia would never have conventionally stood up to NATO if the Cold War had ever gone hot.

but anon an M14 is still a magazine-fed rifle in a contemporary cartridge, even if it's not optimal. SKSs are functionally obsolete top-loading clip-fed rifles in an outdated cartridge.

moist nuggets were issued in the first fiew months, Granted, probably to rear line troops and it is perfectly capable of shooting boolets (when the opponet is a civilian facing the wall)

            >russia issued its troops , a chenisium ak lookalike singleshot pelletgun (captured from vatniks by oinkers) pic related. Air rifle was Prolly the worst offender. Whoever carried it was better off with a mosin or even a makrmeshift BP pipegun

            >rusted to shit aks given to russian conscripts stand right behind the airgun in corrupt russian shitbaggery. The mosin atleast has a big cartrige , shoots precisely and probably wont explode

The worst that russians have captured was an M14 that seems to he in good functional order (wood looks beaten up somewhat though)

Us army uses the m14 untill today in some capacity( no longer standard issue rifle), although modernised with "assaulting (my eyes) black furniture",
Hell the m3 greasegun has an impressive service record untill at least the gulf war.

TLDR: russia issued a fricking pelletgun

But then again, all those "captures" could be a psy op

                >brought from home from recreation , dunno if they can do that though

                >A corrupt quartermaster (or whoever issues weapons in the russian army) replacing the ak he sold off , or he just hated that Pvt consript conscriptovich conscriptivski.

It seems to have never seen cosmoline so it might be
                1 someones attic airgun

2 came from a badly run depo

3has seen a lot of moisture and mud like if it was carried in the field so its chinesium grade bluing just could not take it

The "sling" indicates it was meant to be carried by its "possible" previous owners or solders

Also airsoft helmets were found in a russian supply depo so it wouldnt suprise me. So quite possible that it was issued IMO

                >a ukie psyop meticulously crafting the narative that russia is an incompetent and a corrupt shithole. All of it from airshit helmets to airguns

Let me break it down for you
              >The largest Ukrainian element participating in the defense of Bakhmut is regiment sized, with a maximum of 2000 men
              >The largest Russian element participating in the assault on Bahkmut is Corps sized, with a maximum of 90,000 men
              >In the Russian army, soldiers who retreat without orders are severely punished, with some Russian soldiers even being summarily executed for "cowardice"
              >The Russian army has been launching continuous attacks against the Ukrainian defenses at Bahkmut for seven months
              >The Russian army has not successfully captured the town of Bahkmut
In order for all of the things listed above to be true, the Russian attackers must be suffering massively disproportionate casualties relative to the Ukrainian defenders at Bakhmut
There is simply no other possible explanation that can be drawn from the available evidence
