Days? Maybe only Hours before Ukrainian flags started appearing on government buildings. Honestly, that is one way Putin might dip out. Give it the old "South Vietnam" or "Afghanistan"

"Hey, we spilled a ton of blood to help the Donbass people, but those gays are beyond saving. Russians needs to take care of themselves. We signed a peace deal with Ukraine to ensure the rights of Russians in Ukraine will be respected and got sanctions removed, but Crimea, LNR and DNR will need to fight on their own from now on. We gave them all the help we could provide. We achieved what we wanted, peace with honor"

Then they leave their puppets to get overrun.

They aren't puppets anymore, Russia annexed them so Russia can't abandon them without it looking like they are abandoning Russian territory.

Russians are already spinning the failure to take Kiev and Kharkiv and XEPCOH as a win

Stop doing krokodil, this is never going to happen.

He ruined that option when he annexed those territories. If Putin just pulls out and let Ukraine have control of "Russian" territory, he'll fall out of a window within a week.

Eh, simple enough to just say that annexations were against russian constition and so nullified. Because they de-facto were against russian constitution.

He could always go on a 'friendly' visit to China, Iran or N. Korea and just... never go back to Russia? No getting pushed out of a Russian window if you aren't in Russia, and he's reached retirement age anyway.

Trouble is he will be wanted by 1) NATO, 2) Ukrainian Z hunters 3) whoever takes power in Russia after
Chances are the shitholes you mentioned would give him up if offered enough

Yea but Ukies will just siege crimea since it will be perfect moment to seize the opportunity and give russians nothing and take everything.

NATO is North Vietnam here. Russia is bombing Ukraine but can’t hit at the people who supply them.
