VFGs are far more comfortable to hold for long periods of time, due to not twisting your wrist with the rifle in a relaxed position, and still function as a handstop if you need to get your c-clamp. Their decline in use is proof that people aren't using their rifles outside of brief visits to the range.

this is true, actually. I have seen plenty of green men using the VFG, why do larpers feel beyond it?

maybe because the larpers are actual humans and your green men holding vertical grips are actually milking your wiener while probing your ass for the implantation of reptile eggs

    >VFGs are far more comfortable to hold for long periods of time
Ok, most people don't do that.
    >Their decline in use is proof that people aren't using their rifles outside of brief visits to the range.
Wrong conclusion. What you mean is most people aren't holding their rifles in one position for hours at a time without shooting at all. Yes, that's exactly right. Most people aren't sitting for 8 hours holding a rifle offhand. It's not a very smart or useful thing to do afterall.

Everytime I buy a new gun I find myself walking around my house with it for hours for about the next week. I fiddle with the action and accessories constantly and usually field strip it a number of times before I even take it to the range and shoot it.

Might seem autistic but it makes me very comfortable with the new guns before I even first fire them and helps me not feel like an idiot at the range when I have to deal with a malfunction or something.

Sure, that's not the same thing though. VFG or not makes no difference in that case.

    >Their decline in use is proof that people aren't using their rifles outside of brief visits to the range.
Wrong, their decline of use is from the popularity of braced pistols causing them to be seen less in general.

Another advantage of VFG's is also on front heavy guns. If you have a heavy suppressor, for example, it's way better with a VFG.
