Haven't they been training on them?
IDK, probably won't do much given the AA situation but it'll still be useful. Really they need lots of long range missiles and stealth fighters.
>probably won't do much given the AA situation
SEAD, but this time from the platforms they were meant to operate off of. Also once the floodgates open they will not only have access to western PGM's but can actually afford to take more risks with their aircraft.
>SEAD
Yeah I'll give you my seed alright. Just spread your ass for me.
Russian AA has proven to be shit
While there is a lot I don't like about the F-16 it's one of the best SEAD platforms ever made. We are already giving them HARMs so we only need to throw in some TGPs and GBU-38s or CBU-105s.
>We're not going to give the Ukrops ANYTHING because reasons, BUT we're open to other people giving them free shit.
Wow, thanks muttlords
.
Sneed.
US is already fully occupied delivering F-35s to these guys, that's why F-16s can be considered for delivery in the first place lol
The US is delivering F-35s to Ukraine?
Are you seriously comparing SELLING weapons to other countries with SRLF LESS HAND-ME DOWNS to assist in a FIGHT FOR SURVIVAL of Ukraine?
Seriously, frick Amerigolem mutts. Should be gunned down in the streets as a civic duty.
>The US is delivering F-35s to Ukraine?
No? Clearly the implication was that the US is delivering F-35s to its allies, which has free'd up F-16s.
The US is SELLING F-35s to CUSTOMERS you slimy israelite frick.
Yes. Is this some big revelation to you? Nexy you'll tell me the US didn't give the Netherlands those F-16 for free.
Then get fricked about telling others to GIVE weapons away selflessly to Ukrops.
How TOLD them?
Who*
yes yes johnsmithovich
Nah its giving the fighters,
Much like printers the profit is in the long term MX contracts and parts upgrades and accessoires.
US goverment tends to pay the intial cost becuase having a countries airforce dependent in not pissing you off is very cheap but effective leverage.
Big reason the US has giving free F-16 abrams ect to all the countries with warsaw gear and then sending that gear to ukraine is to kneecap russian influance and mx contracts to thier MIC companies.
Yes.
Make sure to say thank you, as well.
For Monopoly money. Why are you seething so much?
https://www.defensenews.com/congress/2022/07/15/house-authorizes-training-for-ukrainian-pilots-to-use-us-aircraft/
Translation the F-14,15,16,18 and A-10 pilot and mx course are probably reaching completion.
They were started back in july and had 100 million for the training budget.
Generally they get new equipment as the training cycle ends.
>F-14,15,16,18 and A-10
They want to save money by scrapping alot of old planes.
They have tried multiple times but people keep stepping in and saving them A-10 being the most noticable of the plane that just wont die despite all the best attempts of the air force.
I guess they are thinking if they give the warriors death the old guard will let them die in battle instead of die in retirement.
The air force is moronic and negligent. There's a reason why the Army wants CAS and the Air Force doesn't.
More bombs have provided CAS than A-10 brrrrrting. B-1's are better at CAS than shitty A-10s.
You can't support infantry squads mid-battle with a fricking heavy bomber that can't loiter, you moron.
The A-10 is a meme, lad. Drones are used instead if you want constant loitering. Or an AC130 if you want something bigger.
You can F-16, F-15, F/A-18, F-22, and F-35 exactly like they have for the last 25 years, though. Add in B-52, and B-1 too. Literally what was done in the sandbox.
Forgot about the 130s, add in Apaches, too.
The requirements of this conflict vary substantially from GWOT. There will be no loitering. It’s go in, drop shit, gtfo.
As much as I love the A-10 I can tell you from personal experiance it really isnt that great.
If I need persistant overwatch and a rocket truck MQ-9 or MQ-1 is far better plus much better playtime and sensor pod.
If I sustian heavy support AC130 is frankly far far better in play time, accracy, muntions load, sensor pod, and is able to maintian guns on target the entire time instead of just on passes for it.
Both are also prop planes so really easy mx requirements.
The A-10'as loud guns scares goat frickers so they always run when they hear them coming.
I don't want them to run and hide. I want them to stay until those 500lb JDAMs turn them into mist so they can't fight another day.
Like that'll happen, even if you convince GlowBlack folk they didn't need the slave labor for opium fields those goat frickers are entrenched in cave networks and mountains.
If an A-10 is aiming at you, you're splatter & paste before you hear ever it. If you hear them light off, don't wait up tonight for your brother to get back. Go look for him with a mop bucket in the morning.
30 mm of depleted uranium travelling at Mach 3 isn't something you can run from like in Hollywood movies.
FYI Ukraine had a dozen or two pilots get trained on A-10 way before invasion kicked off, and nobody fricking mentions it.

Related from a few weeks ago.
These are all in the "US Chairforce doesn't understand why the army wants these and desperately wants to get rid of them so the rest of the army bends the knee" category.
ESL kun, they're transferring g F-35's to the netherlands.
>The US is delivering F-35s to Ukraine?
I'm pretty sure NOOKS would be flying
As a moderate, I'm all for an preventive nuclear strike on Moscow. That will teach the Republic of Novgorod their place, and we won't have to deal with them pesky Moskals ever again.
>We're not going to give the Ukrops ANYTHING
Uhuh, US has given Ukrops entire warehouses of shit.
Sure they didn't get everything on their wishlist but MICSanta has really stuffed their stocking.
Why do you act like every other country is obligated to bend over backwards supplying Ukraine?
It's a falseflag to make the ukranians seem ungrateful.
Meanwhile G*rms refuse even that
The US literally just gave 200 Bradley's and Strykers, hundreds of thousands of artillery shells, and millions of rounds of ammo 2 days ago.
Come on dude we need to pull our own weight, the US would be justified in abandoning us right now considering how fricking little we have contributed over the last 3 decades. We are finally doing something good when it comes to military spending and resource allocation.
>US open to F-16 transfer to Ukraine
Daaaaaamn, there’s fighter jets in tennis now? I should watch this more often.
The US Open is sponsored by Lockheed Martin, every point scored by Marta Kostyuk will be matched by Lockheed Martin in F-16s.
Collection boxes at the gates fund additional fighters.
>at the last one, there was a fundraiser that raised $2m for humanitarian relief in Ukraine
large if verified
Send Abrams sepv2
Man the Dutch are going above and beyond in support for Ukraine. It makes sense for the typical players such as the Baltics, UK/UK/CAN, Poland, etc supporting Ukraine, but the Dutch?
MH-17 has pushed the Dutch into a deep level of hatred reserved only for Russia’s neighbors.
From APCs, expensive small arms, SAMs (even Patriot), anti ship missiles, drones, radars, trucks, artillery, and SPGs.
Even financing weapons delivery’s such as T-72s as well.
With potential F-16s, it’s clear that the Dutch want the Russian Air Force to be erased along Ukrainian skies secure to vindicate those who died in attack on MH-17.
Netherlands lost 193 people on MH17
>MH-17 has pushed the Dutch into a deep level of hatred reserved only for Russia’s neighbors.
I can't be sure but it's also possible that Srebrenica also weighs on the Dutch and has them not wanting to be bystanders to another genocide.
They really screwed the pooch on that one and they know it and because of their WWII history of collaboration, they have some national guilt about being complicit in genocide which made their failure at Srebrenica quite shocking to many Dutch.
Guilt from those things could have the Dutch population quite accepting of making some sacrifices to assist Ukraine.
> Srebrenica
I didn’t even consider this. I bet the events such as Bucha and the bombing campaigns on civilian infrastructure continually lit a fire under the Dutch’s’ asses.
The Netherlands itself feels very little guilt about Srebrenica because the guilt wasn't with them, but its "allies". What can a, purposefully, badly armed peacekeeping force do when its allies don't lift a finger? Dutchbat was sent there to be a scapegoat and everyone knows it.
Nevermind the militia using them as cover which the other balkanoids gleefully as an excuse to shoot at them knowing they can't shoot back.
Frankly Srebrenica wasn't enough.
>NATO is to blame for the massacre
>One massacre wasn't enough
Serbian hands typed this.
Uh-huh. Look into shit next time before making up an entire country's position on something you don't know shit about. We're still paying for lazy c**ts balkanoid c**ts who use a dead man's name for a handout.
>MH-17 has pushed the Dutch into a deep level of hatred reserved only for Russia’s neighbors.
it's because they learned how russians are the hard way
any sane country would help them with MH17 investigation and bring them girkin, present-wrapped, yet russians decided to go their favorite way as usual. It's understandable that they are angry since they guy responsible for deaths of hundreds of their citizens live freely in moscow and records videos on youtube.
>any sane country would help them with MH17 investigation and bring them girkin, present-wrapped
Not to defend Russia who don't deserve it but probably no country would do that.
The US certainly wouldn't and they've shot down the odd airliner from time to time.
Offensive fighter jets are a huge escalation on the part of NATO. Russia WILL respond to any potential threat to their sovereignty. This is an extremely dangerous game for Biden to play, and it is clear that sanity is no longer ruling in Washington.
Spicy pasta
Flushing toilets are a huge escalation on the part of NATO. Russia WILL respond to any potential threat to their sovereignty. This is an extremely dangerous game for Biden to play, and it is clear that sanity is no longer ruling in Washington.
Can you at least link official statements and not some unverifiable claim made by a guy with a smartphone?
moronic tourist here, how much of a big deal is Ukraine getting F-16's? How much of a difference will they make in the war?
what exactly will an F-16 accomplish that Ukrainians Su-27s couldnt?
It's way more of a match for MiG-31s and can carry modern A2A missiles.
>what will 1000 planes accomplish that 100 could not
Su-27 will not go anywhere, its the matter of oversll nimber of shit in the air.
Better radar; better avionics; less maintenance intense, and unlimited parts available; ability to fully integrate NATO munitions like JDAMs, SDBs, AIM-120C/D, AIM-9, etc. Plus, the ability to use the anti-radiation HARM in all modes.
being available in nearly unlimited numbers
The biggest one is an RWR designed for SEAD and tied into HARMs.
it can kick ass
Well I should hope so. Otherwise the US taking all that time and money to train Ukrainian pilots would have been an even bigger waste of US taxpayer money than their usual standards.
Can someone please explain how Russia doesn't have air superiority yet? Before the f16s?
Why not just bomb the airfields?
>inherit huge airforce from USSR
>have no money
>don't maintain many planes
>don't give your few pilots much flight time
Back in 2010 a bunch of Russian pilots went on strike because they hadn't been paid for 6 months, they were arrested and locked in their base. Things haven't gotten any better since then.
>Why not just bomb the airfields?
They're tried, repeatedly. If they use aircraft they get facefricked by SAMs and if they use cruise missiles they tend to miss in hilarious fashion because lol >russia. Most Ukrainian airbases are in the west and covered by both Ukrainian air defence and NATO/US AWACs
why is NATO so desperate lately? what happened to himars and bradley wunderwaffen?
A-10 is the fuddiest of fudd planes.
The gun is an overrated piece of shit in times of PGM. Anything worth a gun run can me more effectively and precisely destroyed by the same payload in PGM. Trying to brrrt against anything that isn't a sandBlack person just will result in you eating MANPADS for breakfast. In Ukraine helos are lobbing their (also direct fire) rockets on shitty unguided arcs from beyond LOS for a reason.
Muh titanium armour might save your day once in 10 shootdowns and then you can parade the written off plane as some tough bastard. Most of the time, anything hit by any serious modern ad goes down.
The same morons who unironically think arming every Black folk and wigger makes for a better society unironically think the A-10 isn't an obsolete piece of shit resulting from obsolete cold war doctrine.
