Under pressure! dun dun dun dun dun

Posted a week or two ago about getting some broken snap rings out, finally found the time to frick with it again. One side popped right out with a pick, other side refuses to come out at best it just spins in the groove. Any ideas?

How about you put down the wrench and learn some reading comprehension.

you're entering the 7th level of mechanic's hell
i'd probably try to use a little dremel cut off wheel to delete as much of the broken ring as possible. if you're lucky you'll grind it thin enough it to be able to bend it and dig it out

Take straight pin push in groove under broken clip

If it spins then one pick can normally hold it in position then pry one end inwards with another and insert a third to capture progress until one end is free enough to pry inwards and bend with a screwdriver.

This two hooked picks prying on the ends. Once you get one back behind it and are able to pry it out then jam something behind the ring so you can get another bite at it.

          This is the way.

I find a small tweaker screwdriver works better for capturing your progress but if your picks aren't made of chineesium then they should work fine.

still won't be easy but now tools can bite into it

Use a blade to get between the ring and the wall. Pry it out enough that you can grab the end with needlenose pliers

Take to machine shop and use a center cut mill to mill (small) access notch to pry snap ring which do not need to be 360-degree supported.

I've removed far more snap rings than you. Take it to someone not moronic like a machine shop for

Take to machine shop and use a center cut mill to mill (small) access notch to pry snap ring which do not need to be 360-degree supported.

or they may simply pry it out. Your ineptitude is not universal.

Bro just spend 10$ on some snap ring pliers and save yourself an hour of frustrating bullshit with a Dremel, picks etc. you might get it, but your time should be worth more than this and you'll have the tool available for the future plus you won't mar the shit out of the surrounding area

Not the OP but my used pair from like 2000 and frickall look exactly like that. I've never found a use for them.
Do the tips wear out or something? I've tried them on snaprings before and they're useless because they're like 5 times the size of the fricking E clip.
