    Hey, OP here!
I forgot to mention that the wooden fence is part of the Belarusian border. Ukrainian defences begin with the barbed wire and the minefield beyond it.
    Sorry for the confusion!

not really, these pics were taken from ukraine side. decide whether to embrace these silly stumps after making fun of wagner's triangles or to cope and claim they're belarusian

        Anonymous

I don't think the stumps are intended to stop tanks.
They look like they're there to reinforce the initial row of wire and prevent it from being easily blown apart by shelling.

          >I don't think the stumps are intended to stop tanks.
They're intended to be somewhere they can store the dead conscripts until they can be removed from the battlefield later.
Plus it will provide some psychological advantage.

The minefield alone makes it miles better than the cope pyramids.

mine field can be demined with just a couple grenade throws though

            Anonymous

With artillery maybe. You can make the same argument for cope pyramids.

An artillery barrage MAYBE. A couple of hand grenades? Fuck no. I would fucking love to watch some vatmorons try that and wonder why Ivan just disappeared into a pink mist.

Nobody cares if Ukraine are jerry-rigging random shit out of wood and string and abandoned shopping carts because nobody ever thought they were a world-beating military. Who the fuck ecen had an opinion about them before this war? But Russia desperately paying mercenaries to line their own border with shitty lumps of concrete to hold off the poorest backwater in europe is like seeing a queue of guys in suits in central Tokyo taking a shit in a public fountain while weeaboos try to convince you they are still a developed first world nation. They got shown up and it's funny.

        >decide whether to embrace these silly stumps after making fun of wagner's triangles
When the overlooked asscrack of Europe gets invaded by what was believed to be the "world's second strongest military" it's not shocking to see the defenders doing whatever moron rigged shit to hold back the tide. When a former superpower invades one of their former vassals in an aggressive war of conquest, it is fucking hilarious to see them deploying concrete defensive fortifications at their border. Imagine the Gulf War but after 8 FUCKING MONTHS coalition forces are erecting czech hedgehogs at the Kuwaiti border praying they'll hold off the Republican Guard. It'd be comedy gold.

      Tactical beavers?

      Anonymous

The tactical beavers have already been deployed to build dams and flood the north.
But in all seriousness, they actually didn't remove the dams this year to make the terrain even less passable.

    1. Clear 2km-4km of forest between Ukraine-Russia.
    2. Let beavers dam borderlands
    3. Mine the roads
    4. Mine the dry forest lines
    5. Dump dirt mounds over roads and forest line on UA side
