Nothing. Russians can't even reverse engineer a western ATGM, let alone an MBT.

The Russian army only has a few

m1 like all tanks need to be used in conjunction with combined arms and are not wunderwaffles which can win the war overnight. only saheed and lil bunkers can do that.

He said, "Would it." It's hypothetical.

The only large advantage is modern thermal vision and FCS. Russians don't have many vehicles capable of fighting well at night. The latest m1 with modern ammo would have a large advantage tank vs tank but it doesn't happen often enough to make a significant difference. Most of their tank losses are from artillery, mines and getting hit by rockets in the side or rear. The abrams isn't really any more resistant to side or rear attacks, at best the crew has a higher chance to survive.

They just announced Ukraine is getting czech t-72s upgraded with modern western thermals for commander + gunner and western FCS. They're better for ukraine than western tanks.

it would help in breakthroughs but western tanks will be destroyed as well when hit by artillery or ambushed with ATGM - they are safer for the crew but are not invulnerable....

I can’t believe these vatnig shills actually think that too. The Abrams is the best tank in the world and if they think Ukraine won’t be getting fresh units from the assembly line then they have another thing coming. Ukraine will have Moscow under siege in a week if they had even 10 Abrams at their disposal.

They're getting US/ Netherlands refurbished t-72s, and you know it.

The refurbishment though, that will be very interesting.

tank go boom when rocket hit

why do so many people think tanks make a military indestructible? it doesn't. they're metal cans that can be blown up with a rocket/missile, which russians have.

also, why the FRICK would we send over tanks? wouldn't that basically be a declaration of war against russia?

What equipment do russians have that can penetrate the abrams? Not a sarcastic question, I am genuinely curious.

how is this any different then sending any other weapon weve already sent himars which are far more useful

HIMARS are more destructive than any tank could ever be, and yet the Russians still suffer them.

Rather than wasting on Ukraine, the US should give Malaysia M1A2 Abrams in exchange for Malaysia donating PT-91M Pendekar to Poland dan Ukraine. Give Malaysia the Abrams now

are you sure their is enough fuel inside ukraine to sustain at least 10 of them?

The Abrams is not a wunderwaffe and you'll need a lot more than a single battalion of tanks to change the course of a war this scale.
