Supernovagay has a habit of ignoring the original sources and plastering his own watermark on things, but it's quite obviously from a Ukrainian source.
War is brutal. You just try to poke your head a little to see and the next second you drop dead with a headshot
Do you think that the last three guys begged for their lives? "please dont shoot we surr...BAM BAM BAM
God... i'm so fucking jealous
Yeh, this is why is rather be working on producing for the war effort than be a soldier on the ground. Theres a clip of a Ukrainian assault on a trench with the vatnikd having a little nest to peak out and shoot from, after repeated shootouts one ukie soldiers peeks to shoot at the nest just to get shot in the head.
What really shocks me about these videos is the lack of blood
Hollywood and video games trained to expect spurts of red whenever someone gets hit and sprays of gore if they take one to the head
But all you ever seem to see are little puffs of dust with the blood coming later, if at all.
I'm not complaining, just surprised at how over exaggerated the whole thing seems to be in modern media
same with grenades. Was funny seeing all poltards laughing at VOG drops because Russians didn't get torn to shreds by giant fireball but just started writhing in pain on the ground "proving that video is fake"
Omnipresent thick clothing generally means you'll only really see an immediate spray from artery hits. And even then it's reduced, the human body is capable of anime-tier shit if a hole is in the right spot.
It still baffles me that there's trench warfare in 2023.
Also, those trenches seem kinda shallow and full of straight sections. Aren't you supposed to make them deep and full of curves?
This is what's called a supply trench, the idea is to use it to quickly move along for supplying trench networks further ahead, you want it more open in the centre sections so the enemy would struggle to push down large long open trenches from a position they gained.
I don't think anyone lives long enough in the trenches or holds them long enough to actually improve them. They are basically fighting for control of ditches and holes full of garbage and dead bodies at this point. It actually is a huge argument for the longevity of trench warfare, even in a battlefield where you have maybe a few hours to dig your trench- they are still being utilized.
But anyway this is what happens to ground forces when no one can get air superiority and everyone and their grandmum has MANPADS and ATGM's while operating under the cover of modern anti-air with no ability to conduct SEAD or DEAD. Building up for an offensive costs time and you must preserve manpower and vehicles- how do? Trenches which are in fact still a force multiplier.
What sucks is that they aren't nearly as survivable in this war because the nations in question are not developed enough to have good combat engineers man portable tools and the necessary equipment to build a good trench in 2-3 hours that they have to build one.
About half the footage we see we know the location of. They're always places that have been the front lines for months. Having shit trenches is just a fact of life for both sides. They're lightly held pieces of shit, which is why we always see ridiculously low numbers being involved in these fights.
cite the law that forbids killing a soldier in retreat
It still baffles me that there's trench warfare in 2023.

i think trenches are going to exist as long as explosives and diggable ground exists
Everyone's talking about the headshot but that grenade throw was fucking insane, must have thrown it 80ft and landed it right in the trench at the center of the three enemy soldiers.
That was a solid grenade throw, he should be pitching for the MLB
Hell yeah. It wasn't a lucky throw either. The first throw missed by about 4 yards but still gets in the trench. Second throw was almost immediately afterwards and lands 2 yards away, close enough to make them duck.
Then the Russians throw a grenade that falls short buy a good 8 yards. What kind of noodle arms are they making Ruskies with?
The last throw was perfect but the thrower was walking his throws in, patiently and methodically. That takes guts when you're being shot at.
Any sort of airburst munition is what you'd want, which is why the US has those fancy airbursting 25mm autocannon rounds to turn people hiding in trenches into coleslaw.

Welcome to the 2023 War Olympics, hosted by Ukraine.
As we saw earlier, the new record for the upwards olympic tank turret toss in superheavy category goes to USA for a perfectly executed Javelin explosion.
Another gold-medal raker this year is Ukraine who dominate the Olympic War games in most grenade disciplines. Ukraine has taken gold in 80 feet nade toss, 200 meter drone toss, 100 meter drone toss, Flag grab (Kremlin) and the Fakeulin's toss (to drop a grenade where the enemy runs into it).
Last years winners of land-grab competition are struggling this year, having lost their first line.
The nuke waving competition currently looks good for Russia, and it appears they may take it, unless the North Korea reappears.
The home-run team of Ukraine is preparing to defend their last years gold medal, and do even more crazy 1-man-army attacks on heavily fortified positions.
We also are expecting a PPV super-event, where the presidents of each country punch it out in a classic FFA president-off
I was thinking the same thing. And it is what allowed the sniper opposite to drop the guy with the head shot I don't think he knew exactly where they were till the guy bailed out to avoid frags
So what you're saying is that R*ssian controlled territory has been steadily decreasing in size despite the R*ssians having the "2nd army in the world" and Ukraine being literally their neighboring country?
>And people doubt that the KD ratio is 3 to 1 or even as high as 5 to 1 for Ukies
if by people you mean western intelligence
of course their analysis can't hold a candle to you having watched a video involving 5 soldiers
The "photoshop" is painfully obvious that Russian shills tried to swap the numbers. Crisp, linear numbers, vs blurred, out of line numbers. Cope harder
>Gets mobilized >Follow order like slave >"Russia stronk, I will be back in no time." >Dies in trench for internet anons to point at >Family probably won't be compensated
Pathetic. If russia breaks apart it would be for it's own good.
The number of serially produced helmets that will stop 5.45x39 7n6 is basically a rounding error.
No. 1 tip for not dying after getting shot in the head with a rifle is "don't get shot in the head with a rifle."
It's not hard to 'invent' such a helmet.
Hell I'll fucking invent it off the top of my head: 8mm of armor steel, now gimme money.
The hard part is making it wearable for a prolonged period of time, and make it have an acceptable backface deformation.
Spanish Marte helmets stopped Dragunov rounds shot at their UN forces in the balkan wars, the Spanish military museum has one example at least with the bullet still inside.
Aramide/kevlar based helmets tend to stop bullets they aren't rated for at odd angles that would probably not have harmed the user anyway.
A direct hit would kill the guy.
There's plenty of examples of helmets stopping AK rounds from all the US adventures in the sandbox, and even a couple that stopped 7.62x54R from close range though you can always question if they were up to actual velocity after whatever mistreatment saw them end up in the hands of the local sandmorons.
If the vids of Ukies punching them in with their bare fists then yes, they really do. Corruption and grift among your officers and suppliers can be quite the problem.
There's no 'sniper' you fucking mongoloid, it's like 50 yards, the guy peeked out and got smoked by the Ukie (the one doing everything else in this vid) for his trouble.
Almost 15 months of watching videos of dying Russians with my coffee, every morning and every evening. I never was into watching gore vids on rotten.com or whatever back in the late '90s so I wonder if this is good for my brain.

By my estimated they'll be winning in about 2 more weeks
I'd put money on 2 months at this point, not looking good at all for the Russians recently
>not looking good at all for the Russians recently
They just found 3 million AK47 and 500 million rounds of ammo in that salt mine how can they lose?
I heard it was actually 7 million AKs and a billion rounds
I heard Boris Johnson was down there
it was a bunch of lend lease tommyguns and I am seething.
Tommys, Maxims and whatever else.
It's not fair.

Guess he peeked when he should have booked?
Shame for him because he avoided that previous grenade perfectly. I guess they all died in the end so maybe he did get off the easiest.

I seem to recall stories of WW2 soldiers who played baseball being really good at throwing grenades.
Band of Brothers discusses this. It attests that one of the paratroopers was good at baseball, which translated into a grenade pitch landing perfectly on a German's head. Coincidentally the fuse went off at the same time, giving the impression that the grenade exploded on impact.
isnt baseball why most american grenades are spherical? To make it easier for the average american to throw it since most have played baseball before.

This is not true. Both sides posses trench diggers in some quantity, and they can trenches at any angle. If the driver cares, that is
Smart ukies setting up the defence blockade in the longest straighest part of the trench is not casual too.
seeing new high definition footage like this several times a week is a treat
