>A Czech holding company just acquired ~85% of domestic American primer production
Should we not be concerned about our small arms industry being sold off internationally? Primers are probably the most difficult thing to manufacture with regards to small arms. Even black powder can be made at home relatively easily.
czechs are based whats the problem
fippity bippity
>small arms industry being sold off internationally
ah yes another stupid fucking take from the third most business illiterate board on the chans, aside from PrepHole and /misc/
/k/ probably has the highest median disposable income of all boards on PrepHole.
PrepHole might have us beat but I know people are in shock when I tell them about shit I did over the weekend.
>Oh you bought a gun and a few hundred rounds of ammo? Wasnt that like, expensive?
>Nah the ammo was like $200 for 500rds so not bad and the gun was just a cheap $400 chink gun but they're cool, probably wont shoot it that much anyways
This shit is brain boggling to poor people.
I'm just starting my high salary career and, man, having money is so different from my college life. I finally can go shooting, take proper swimming classes, and eat all organics. I'm still inexperienced with firearms, trying to find the best revolver for me.
If you want to go classic then find a good priced S&W Model 10, there's multiple models that usually have just a safety mechanism/ different way of manufacturing but they're pretty much all the same. If you want something unique/ flashy then get a Chiappa Rhino in .357, I've been looking for a good price one myself.
Thanks Anon, I'll see if a range near me has range rentals for them. They look pretty nice online.
Doubt you'll find either at a basic range, maybe a Rhino. It's literally just what style you want, revolvers a revolver IMO but that's because I see them as fun guns not really for carry.
bank gaurds
organic food is 100% a scam anon. No proven benefits, and they don't even regulate it so the stuff labeled organic is just the same shit but double the price.
This is cope.
>No proven benefits
Organic food tastes better. And the main goal of organic food is protecting farmers and their soil, not """benefits""".
>and they don't even regulate it so the stuff labeled organic is just the same shit but double the price.
This is just a flat out lie.
Higher quality and organic are two different things. I'm not saying paying more for better quality/taste is dumb. Organic means using stuff like less effective organic pesticides. Way less efficient, uses more land to produce less food. And that isn't what makes it taste better, the brand you bought just must have better quality standards.
>they don't even regulate it so the stuff labeled organic
LMAO organic food is so regulated the hippie growing food with shit from his pigs isn't organic because the feed for the pigs wasn't organic.
You know nothing other than organic = libtards like the other faux news morons.
This is based on reading posts from people who work in the food supply chain saying it's not really regulated. If you think the government does a good job of regulating something that, if they messed up nobody would even be hurt you're dreaming.
>nobody would even be hurt you're dreaming.
Literally worked at a USDA laboratory and at a certified organic farm but you've read some posts online that said different.
>But faux news said da gubamint isn't good at enforcing laws. It's just like my local bumfuck DMV innit?! No way no how sonny.
You're dreaming and don't have a clue. Organic is probably the most difficult certification to get and maintain in the entire agribusiness.
>PrepHole might have us beat
lmao. PrepHole is 95% busrider poorfags
Just like 95% of /k/ is noguns poorfags
The real question is whos 5% spends more money
I think PrepHole and PrepHole have all of us poors beat.
PrepHole has /k/ beat. But PrepHoletists get railroaded into cars as a hobby since they're usually tech bros that consequently live in states that make it prohibitive to own funs.
/a/ has an entire thread dedicated to buying figs worth more than guns
Buyf/a/gs only represent a small part of the board though. Most people there are poorfags.
lol i wasN't sure what was what in /a/ vs PrepHole so figs ? what did i miss that people spend so much on fig plants ???? Until i got that its figurines
i too think PrepHole is high because its a white mans sport to go out. and people actual own land/UL gear and shit there.
I can shift around 6 or 7 figures in my retirement account, it just means I've had a real job for a while and didn't totally fuck up my investments.
PrepHole does have some people with $2000~ cameras and lord knows how much $ put into lenses.
>having money means I'm smart
bwhahahhaa
there are so many poorfag noguns on this board it's unreal
Lol.
That title goes to PrepHole or PrepHole. Adding a supercharger is more than most anon’s gun collections
Biz has more wealth than this entire board combined.
Hell, I have nearly 750k tied up in a browser extension. I have two digit folio of btc and a near 3 digit folio of eth.
And I’m a poorfag.
Do you know what median is?
of course not, they are retarded
Yes, that's literally what happened, some of the US's most productive ammo, primer and powder companies are now owned by foreigners. What exactly is incorrect about this statement?
They are pro gun and gave themselves a 2nd amendment a few years ago
Czechs have really come around, was very happy to hear CZ acquired Colt when it was announced a few years back.
Operations will continue as usual because they want to make money.
Exactly, some retards are claiming "THIS IS HOW THEY'RE GONNA TAKE OUR LE GUNS AWAY FROM US!!!!"
Ain't nothing gonna come from this, nothing ever happens. Business as usual
>primer based small arms
>black powder
you need to go back
>what are black powder cartridges
you are the retard here. Do you think they were using smokeless powder in their 45-70s or 45 Colts back in the day?
The point is that even if we lose smokeless powder production, it's not the end of the world. But without primers, we are literally back to flintlock tech.
You black nagger the US factories will still be producing primers, just under new owners. I also doubt that they will move production to Mexico or something, the extra $3 saved on Hispanic labor won't make up for losing access to US government shekels.
>they won't move primer production!!
No shit, that's not the point. The point is that these internationals could shut down all production on a whim for any reason they wanted.
Why the fuck would they shut down production "on a whim" after dropping $2,000,000,000 on buying these companies? It's financial suicide to even consider doing something like this. They'd just sell the factories again as Vista is doing now if they really want to divest from the ammo business. I'd obviously rather have these companies remain under American ownership but it is what it is.
>The point is that these internationals could shut down all production on a whim for any reason they wanted.
You mean like... the original owners? Are you saying the original owners couldn't retard?
Americans never shut down factories to move them to Mexico, doncha know?
No, not really. Monopolization of the middle is usually bad for the company itself, as it makes you the enemy of both your supplier and customer. This leads to them trying to completely cut you out. The best way to monopolize is from resource extraction up.
Vista Outdoors is beholden to the politics of lefty companies like REI, surprised they held onto firearms related companies for this long.
No. As long as the manufacturing base remains on US soil, it doesn't matter.
What primer makers are still US owned? I can't think of any.
Winchester (made by Olin) is all that's left IIRC
That's crazy you'd think it would've triggered antitrust laws.
>antitrust laws
>in the 21st century
lol
lmao
Lmao you stupid bitch. You're late to the party man. You probably told people they were stupid too for buying ammo in bulk recently.
Why should we be concerned?
You can make primers out of tin foil and match heads.
Vista outdoors unironically hated that they made guns and ammo. This is good for us.
Start a primer company, become millions.
>primer production gets bought from fudds by arms company in one of the most pro-gun countries on the planet
I'd say this is a good thing.
I would not worry about it
>duuhh I dont like the free market i dont like when capitalism
too bad
