Can't speak from experience but 300 for a semiauto sounds like a good deal as long as it doesn't explode in the first few hundreds of rounds

most of commie ypg pkk terrorist dies in drone strikes nowadays and armenians were just expelled to syria. they died due to bad conditions of era, no food blabla. nobody shot them nazi style. only armenian militias that was engaging in guerilla warfare alongside marching russian army got the bullet in east anatolia. i guess starting guerilla warfare against state that was fighting for its survival during greatest conflict of the world was not smart move. ottomans were already busy with galipoli, russia front, levant, iraq fronts and we aint got spare time for armenians to start random """genocide"""

I don’t know about that particular one, but my cheapskate friend brought a similar ~250 Turk pump shotgun and it broke after only a dozen or so rounds through it. The locking mechanism just completely failed. So yeah you fucked up.

    Shoulda bought the maverick

    You'll find out.

The Turk shotgun industry consists of a large number of manufacturers putting parts together from a variety of parts suppliers. Sometimes the same parts/suppliers, but with a wide degree of variation and assembly. Quality also runs the spectrum from acceptable to god-awful.

Judging by the features that's a common semi-auto model they cobble together with a gas piston wrapped around the magazine tube. It's imported and sold under a wide variety of names and I actually have one because I bought it secondhand for all of $70. In my case it was sold as the Citadel Warthog II.

    Is it good? No.
Is it awful? Well, not really.

Mine has so far run perfectly fine with a wide variety of target loads, birdshot, buckshot and slugs. However, the materials quality is poor and machining is very loose. Downright airsoft-tier. Pins and springs walk looke under recoil and have to be re-set or tightened frequently during shooting (chokes will walk out, trigger assembly retention pins walk out, rear sight slides off/falls off). The gun itself works by some miracle, but it's clearly built in a cheap disposable manner and is not a quality weapon.

Is it a good deal at $230? I don't think so. That's money you could have put towards a better quality gun that you'd enjoy more. Gets you most of the way to a used Mossberg 500 or Maverick 88, which is far better. If you bought it for shits and giggles then maybe you can get $230 of shits and giggles out of it, just depends how good/bad the exact one you'll get is.

I already have a Mossberg 500 that I like. I was looking for cheap semi-auto to mess around with, and for less than $300 after shipping and FFL I feel ok about this. Thank you for the thorough information, I appreciate it and will keep it in mind.

        Resident Wumbologist

That's kind of the situation I was in. I've owned a Mossberg forever and it has done everything I really need a shotgun to do, but I wanted a cheap semi auto to mess around with as well.

I got one of the Benelli M4 clones (specifically Charled Daly 601 DPS) and so far it has been excellent. Mine must have been made on a good day at the factory at least, since none of the parts are out of spec or ill-fitted. It's not really just as good as a genuine Benelli, but it's close enough for me and I couldn't be happier with it for what it is.

The Warthog was an impulse buy to basically save it from being scrapped at a police buyback and I'm kind of glad I did, but now I am stuck with it. The gun works so there's no sense junking it but it takes up space, I don't shoot it much and it's too worthless to bother trying to sell since I don't think anyone in their right mind would actually pay any money for it. I suppose if I take pity on a local nogunz who is genuinely too poor for anything else I could give it away for free.

in my experience the bolt catch is a real piece of shit. I had one guy bring me one in with it broken in half so I welded it back together. he came back 2 weeks later and it was broken again in a different place. I asked him if he wanted me to put it back together again and he said no since getting it fixed the first time cost almost as much as he had paid for it in the first place.

It's a 300.00 shotgun, shoot it like it owes you money and when it fails, then look for something better.
    Maybe get a Mossberg 500.

I got one of those turkshit break action single shot 12 for $60 right before the lockdowns. It's a pretty shitty gun, but I can shoot weird handload out it without caring if it fucks up the gun, so that's fun.
turkshit guns are only good if they are cheap enough you to abuse them without care.

I have a turk winchester pump and it's pretty decent, fired a couple hundred rounds from slugs to buck to bird shot of varying quality and it cycled np, I mostly use it as a skeet gun and it performs well, at least with my experience level

not sure if I got lucky or they just make decent stuff when under brand names. only issue I had was that the spring in the magazine is too strong and sometimes it pushed out two rounds, but it only happened twice, also might be because of my spastic way of moving the pump

I've had a few. Fit and finish is pretty sloppy on the lower end, but it goes bang when you pull the trigger. Put about 25 rounds of high brass through it; most manuals I've read recommend this for a break-in period.

Yes you fucked up. I had one of these exact same models and the fucking take down lever and bolt release walked out on their own after like 50 rounds. One of the firearms I regret buying the most. Absolute trash gun. Do yourself a favor and refuse it at the ffl and send it back.

You are infinitely better off buying a 180$ h&r partner pump at academy sports, at least you can beat the ever loving piss out of it and not feel bad. Or better yet, just buy a maverick 88. Semi auto doesn't mean shit when the gun fucking beats itself to death under 80 rounds.

    > $220 Turkish shotgun

I mean, you could have done worse, I guess. I haven't heard anything bad about Black Aces Tactical, but turkshit shotguns are generally known for being dirt cheap, being very iffy in terms of quality, and for having zero in the way or replacement parts. For reference if you really wanted a cheap Shotgun you could have bought a Mossberg Maverick for $10 more.

Like I said, I haven't heard anything bad about Black Aces Tactical (so you'll probably be fine), but in the future a good rule of thumb is if it's from Turkey and its not Girsan or Canik than don't buy it.

I've heard all the stories about turkshit being garbage, but it usually seems everyone talks about shotguns. Do the turks make bolt actions?

The reason you see so many Turk shotguns is because those are some of the few guns that are legal for the average person in Turkey. Their biggest customers are the domestic market.

        Anonymous

This. Turkish gun law heavily restricts rifles and to a lesser extent handguns, but shotgun permits are basically shall issue unless you're a criminal or Kurd. Consensus is that the smaller Turk gun companies (the ones that aren't foreign subsidiaries) keep the best shotguns for domestic sale and dump their QC rejects onto the international market with zero customer support. Hell, most of the time they go through so many middlemen to get to the States that nobody knows exactly who the original manufacturer was, and you're shit outta luck when it comes to replacement parts. For example,

        https://i.imgur.com/pQlB66x.jpg

        >How badly did I fuck up
You'll make another thread after putting 300 shells through it, saying how it has "given me no problems and eats anythibg I feed it"

was a notorious incident where an FFL illegally dumped hundreds of intact Turkish shotguns into a dumpster because they all basically came pre-broken from the distributor and nobody could get warranty service/replacement parts. This is also why you see a lot of "tactical" shotguns out of Turkey; their gun community can't legally get real AR/AK/bullpup rifles, so their gun companies make shotgun lookalikes to scratch their tacticool itch.

      >I've heard all the stories about turkshit being garbage
      They're kinda garbage.
They are however less garbage when you accept the fact the slugs and buckshot are quite specific too america due to some states hunting laws.
In the rest of the world slugs aren't really a thing and if you only ever shoot birdloads or even mostly skeet loads many turkroach guns are "fine".

And they're all meme rounds with no practical use. Straightwall autism of some us states is what has been driving slug development.
Because fact is slugs are pointless if you're allowed to use a rifle

            >Straightwall autism of some us states is what has been driving slug development.
Can you give specific examples? I can't think of any significant developments in slugs from a US maker. I can think of new European designs though, like these from Latvia.

My buddy bought this exact gun. Took it to the range, fired ONE round, then the thing got jammed with a live round in the chamber. Couldn't get the bolt back. Had to take it in to two different shops (first one didn't wanna fuck with it). After about a week he got it back. Took it to the range a couple months later, fired 3 rounds, same thing happened.
