This. I guess a lot of retards have gotten used to skating by on safety and instructions though.
if it's such a marginal design that those tiny flutes cause it to fail, then it's shit.
None of my rifle chambers are fluted. If not being able to use it in some gun I'll never have or use saved me 40% weight and cost then fuck yes I'd use it. Nothing stops you from continuing to pay for brass.
>ammo that actually requires you to read small text warning labels on the box because it isn't compatible with all guns in that caliber on the market today
DOA
Yeah, you can use other ammo in fluted chambers just fine. I guess in the future ammo boxes are going to come with instruction manuals and big labels that say "READ MANUAL BEFORE USE" printed all over.
People accept way more compromises than that though anon for certain performance. Lots of stuff in firearms involves tradeoffs, nothing new there. It's only a question of if it's worth it or not for a given budget/use case. Lots of people love semi-auto shotguns for example, but they often won't work with anything but 00 buck full size. No minis or oddball sandbag rounds or whatever that pumps work with. Is that an issue or not? No right answer. Or look at all the eternal debates on PrepHole when it comes to optics. Even for ammo, not all handguns can handle overpressure loads.
Not that TV shit in particular is likely to ever be worth it, it's ded with them losing NGSW. But somebody is going to figure out a good hybrid telescoped cartridge at some point. On the scale of tradeoffs "no fluted chambers" would be pretty minimal. Just like with old guns right now you'll be able to keep using older ammo and loads.
This, yes he's a retard, but part about making a good gun is removing the need to think from the equation. If firearms designers could make a gun that flawlessly hits your target on grunts and vague gestures alone they would.
>If firearms designers could make a gun that flawlessly hits your target on grunts and vague gestures alone they would.
With smart guns they're working on it. That tech demo 10 years ago for talon precision or whatever they were called was pretty damn impressive.
Imagine AI targeting where a computer reads your eye movement and knows based on training off your own biological inputs what you want to hit and then fires the gun.
>but part about making a good gun is removing the need to think from the equation
No, that's just part of having standards. This is like making new 10W-30 motor oil that somehow breaks compatibility with some popular engines that were designed to use 10W-30, and could cause engine failure if you use it in a vehicle with one of those engines. It straight up shouldn't be on the market.

Case failure like in the OP can blow up your gun. That's absolutely not comparable to a semi auto shotgun not cycling well without full power loads. Over pressure handgun ammo is specifically marked +P or +P+ right next to the caliber because that's extremely fucking important information.
If your theoretical purchaser is too retarded to not know to use poly case ammo in a fluted chamber, like every other poly case ammo that's ever been on the market, what makes you think they'd know what +P means or whether it's safe for their gun.
How the fuck do you expect them to know that unless they're active in online discussion of the subject?

I'd expect them to read about a radical weird new ammo before sticking it in a rando gun. I mean, it's not like they fucking hide this, it's right there on the site under "safety": >https://www.tvammo.com/safety >Question 6: Fluted Chambers >We don't recommend using it in fluted chambers.
Nobody who is newguns is going to know about "+P" either without learning about it somehow.
The ammo is still shit for other reasons though.

>Nobody who is newguns is going to know about "+P" either without learning about it somehow.
Anon, +P ammo is one of the things that gets listed in the manual for a gun for whether or not you can shoot it. You don't need to go to the manufacturer's website, find the "safety information" section, and watch a video because retards at the company are too full of themselves to present answers in text form like normal people. This is ammo, not chinkshit off one of the various internet chinkshit marketplaces.
>Dont put this oil if you have X engine >Puts oil in X engine >engine blows up
"I can't believe they've done this"
>do oil change on car >add appropriate type and quantity of oil per the manufacturer's recommendation >engine grenades while driving because you didn't read all of the fine print on the oil bottle (or go to the manufacturers website) where it briefly mentions it's not compatible with X model engine, then cross reference that with what engine your car uses
This would never be accepted. Anyone aware of the case would stop buying oil from that manufacturer because that isn't something you should need to check for, and there's a good chance the government would get involved.

This has happened and it was big news. Now there are several oil standards that different manufacturers specify, and they can deny you a warranty claim if and when the oil that comes out of your grenaded engine isn't the correct spec.
It's all moot because it's just an allegory you're using but it's worth mentioning because you could be out a car for not knowing.

You know what, no it didn't happen. Use any oil in your white crossover that you like. I'm sure nothing bad will happen, and I definitely won't enjoy the fuck out of denying your warranty claim.
>didn’t even fire in the bolt gun >shit standard deviation on velocity
where’s that fucking tv shill who posts in every ngsw thread kvetching, 1000% btfo
Dunno who that is, but don't be a retard anon, I'd assume they're talking about the potential. All ammo manufacturing ultimate cost is based heavily on scale. It's not like 9mm is somehow inherently cheaper and uses less material than .32 ACP, yet it costs half as much, that's because of scale. If TV (or Textron) had won and army had ordered tens to hundreds of millions of rounds things would have worked towards their lower bound cost, and polymer is a lot cheaper than brass is. Since they lost it's instead a novelty.
Personally I'm ok with it losing. Despite the weight and performance advantages it's not biodegradable from what I could tell, which means even more feminizing plastic shit everywhere. Brass is known, reliable, and safe. Pick it up if you want to reload/sell/scrap or not leave a mess and be polite, but if you miss a round innawoods no problem. It's just brass. Fuck the chemical companies trying to castrate us all.
the standard deviation on velocity should be highest now when it’s made in the smallest quantities with presumably the largest amount of QC
the fact that the velocity consistency is shit NOW is indicative that it doesn’t have a huge accuracy potential
the fact that it was out of spec for the primers NOW is indicative that it doesn’t have a huge potential for reliability
>with presumably the largest amount of QC
lol good one. That's totally backwards, small batches are all over the place in mass manufacturing environment.
>but part about making a good gun is removing the need to think from the equation

Uh, it's pretty fucking obvious, and WAY MORE obvious then a little "+P" stamped in tiny letters at the bottom of a cartridge, that some ammo is fucking polymer anon. If you're using a brand new radical ammo type then yes, you should take some time to learn about it.
Looks like they ran it in a G3, which is known to make brass unusable from extraction force. This is a nothingburger, show me case separation in an AR-10 and it's flawed. Not even saying it's not flawed, but this is cherry picking.
>oh no it doesn't work when I use a rifle that light strikes it >oh no I get more variation out of a semi auto than the claimed value based on a consistent lock up >oh no I don't know that heat doesn't start in the gun and I'll make it their problem
Fucks sake, I forgot how much of a hack he is. True Velocity will be a meme unless or until they scale production to deliver on all those CPR promises, if that even is enough to do that, but this is a farce of a review.
>Fucks sake, I forgot how much of a hack he is. True Velocity will be a meme unless or until they scale production to deliver on all those CPR promises, if that even is enough to do that, but this is a farce of a review.
This. And the answer to "until they scale production to deliver on all those CPR promises" is probably "they won't" imo. But the review is still retarded.
