Troops On The Ground in Ukraine

The Pentagon has just released information pertaining to US service members on the ground within Ukraine. They are apparently inspecting weapons shipments within the country. It’s only a matter of time until Russia bombs a Ukrainian base and dead US service members are announced. Will this result in the Third World War?

Actually that hasn't happened in a while. They prefer to hit random infrastructure shit now.

Bases are predictable targets and would mostly have AA.

Attacking the enemy military is hard... also why are they winning?

I mean we unironically say that attacking soft targets is a sign of weakness and it's never been more true than now.

Russia is a nation state that is reduced to fighting an asymmetric war in an invasion that it started.
ISIS, for all its faults and moronation was mostly fighting a conventional war.

This is if like Al Qaeda tried to invade and occupy Pakistan or something.

Russian navy got wrecked and then humiliated over grain shipment threats. Vatniks are back hoping they can start a US civil war or make the US isolationist using morons or that they can magically control EU energy or get the EU to collapse. Neither is happening

                I found a source, it's about 50% true.

They're insisting on security guarantees for Russian vessels in the grain corridor. Which of course had nothing to do with the Sevastapol port attack but that's the angle they're taking.

I'm sure none of them do, PrepHole isn't noted for political control.

I'll admit to being ignorant about /misc/ jannies, I'm sure there are campaigns fought about securing those roles when they come up, if they even exist on /misc/.

There really is no other way to interpret that from Erdogan, he's having a lovely old war swinging his wiener around and reaping in untold billions in arms sales. This has done more to feed his Ottoman nostalgia and Turkye STRONK platform than any geopolitical event of his entire rule.

I understand where you're coming from but occasionally the truth is good enough not to be exaggerated. It helps the rest of the propaganda look more believable.
A stopped clock and all that...

This seems to actually be true but it means almost nothing, it's really just bean counters auditing weapon shipments to make sure they end up in the right hands.
These are POG quartermasters and armourers taking inventory and probably overseeing the setting up of NATO-compliant armories and such.

Of course if shit kicks off, maybe they'll also have supply lines into Ukraine all sorted out in advance too, no reason not to do some prepwork for that sort of thing while they're there.
