I was asking for real and this was a good illustrative pic showing the finger

Nope. The rule is finger straight, and out of the trigger well for a reason. If you're not conditioned to guns, the trigger is a natural resting point for your finger, so keeping it in the trigger housing is just creating unnecessary risk of ND.

I see, straight finger seems uncomfortable to keep in comparision with keeping a more closed grip to me

        >I see, straight finger seems uncomfortable to keep in comparision with keeping a more closed grip to me

Yes, but once you are properly accustomed to trigger discipline it becomes second nature and having your finger on the trigger actually starts to feel more unnatural unless you are firing. The next step is getting used to flipping the safety immediately before firing. In modern military training, you pretty much keep the safety on at all times until the moment you fire.

It seems minor, and even redundant but once you're good it's a non issue.

    trigger finger is for morons
if there is no round in the chamber
then there is no need for safety
    morons

You always treat your firearm as if there was a round in the chamber. "Reddit finger" is a Russian psyop made for this board, to shame people into rejecting basic firearm safety. You impossibly fricktarded mongoloids are so goddamn stupid, you care what website some Russian bot thinks you visit, enough that you would gladly put your life at risk.
      Way to go, /k/!

        >Reddit Finger
No fricking way. Please don't tell me there are people who unironically believe this. Whoever believe in "reddit finger" is either a brainlet or a tourist.

        >You always treat your firearm as if there was a round in the chamber.
This. Done deal. The 4 Rules of Firearms Safety were laid out for everyone almost 40 years ago. Anyone who tries to shame anyone for having proper trigger discipline is begging to catch a Darwin Award.

        >"Reddit finger" is a Russian psyop made for this board, to shame people into rejecting basic firearm safety
        Anon, what's more likely?
        >the Russian government, the same government too fricking stupid to set up proper logistics chains or use tactics from after 1914, is personally involved with tricking random people on a Taiwanese banana-peeling forum into NDing their firearms
        Or
        >the board known for shoving shotguns up their asses, closing firearm bolts on their dicks, eating depleted uranium bullets, eating regular bullets, exposing themselves to mustard gas, having their buddies shoot them in the head with airguns to test their steel skullcaps and blowing out their eardrums, and raping woodland creatures they just shot is full of morons
And yes, the former are all based on actual threads we've had of anons sending themselves to the emergency room and multiple stories from Arkansas anons in the last one's case.
At least 90% of /k/ is moronic and has been probably since it's creation. Reddit finger may have started as a joke by the 10%, but the rest didn't realize that since it sounds exactly like something they'd otherwise do, and they lack the self-reflection to realize that what they'd otherwise do is fricking moronic, smoothbrain behavior even a chimp wouldn't do.

Dude, you're forgetting the bathtub-fish farmer anon too. I certainly never forgot him kek.

Honestly that's perhaps one of the least weird ones. It's supposedly a Christmas tradition in Poland or somewhere. Dad comes home with a fish or two and they keep em in the bathtub for a month. On Christmas day, dad takes the fish out as the kids are still asleep and whacks em, tells the kids that the fish went down the drain to the ocean and they eat their fish dinner.
Though it's still possible that one anon actually was breeding fish in his tub and it was just a coincidence that it's some Eastern European Christmas thing. Anything goes around here, like that one guy that dug out an 8 foot rat tunnel under his house for shooting. Pretty sure his house collapsed on him, I honestly forget what happened to the molemen.
