I can perform under extreme stress by going autopilot mode.
However, afterward I get so mentally exhausted I can only sit down for the rest of the day.
How does one deal with the exhaustion?
Excuse me but I believe I pretty clearly wrote about mental exhaustion.
Again, I can perform well in a life or death situation. The problem is the mental exhaustion that comes afterward.
And due to the nature of extremely stressful and/or traumatic events, rest is often not an option.
Anon is not talking about curing a problem with alcohol. Anon is simply stating that alcohol is a depressant, and offsets the spike in adrenaline from the high stress situation.
If you have mental problems from something that happened in a high stress situation, alcohol is not the fix.
But, it can take the edge off of the adrenaline spike, so you don't crash from it. It helps to taper off the adrenaline, not some hollywood, "now i drink everyday" bullshit.
Physical exhaustion helps me.
When I'm mentally exhausted my brain just goes :" get on the couch, stare holes in the screen without grasping the content" Then I force myself to bike some distance, chop some wood etc and after a while it fades away and I'm just a little tired but can carry on without feeling like a Meatsack with an empty tank
>I believe I pretty clearly wrote about mental exhaustion
And that's linked with your physical condition, sound body sound mind. What life or death situations do you even get into on such a regular basis your recovery is a standing issue?
Exhaustion is a natural part of getting a shitload of adrenaline.
Unless you're in a war zone, rest is an option. Otherwise, have a cry & release some cortisol. Drink water & have some sugar for your brain.
>Excuse me but I believe I pretty clearly wrote about mental exhaustion.
What kind of fricking brainlet gets "mental exhaustion"? Are you tired? Got a headache?

holy shit the left truly cant meme.
What does the left have to do with this? I'm more RW than you could possibly ever be, yet after a life-or-death situation I had experiences similar to the other anon. It wasn't so much exhaustion in my case, more like just muscle weakness. I felt like I couldn't stand up under my own power, like my legs were just too weak. I could actually stand up and did as I got out of my car, but wow did I feel weak and wobbly.
you are supposed to take a break and embrace the exhaustion. Same as if you worked hard in a field for 8 hours, you will need to sleep for 9 to recover.
I imagine police are allowed to go home after surviving a firefight. Unless you're talking about dealing with sudden requests from your boss in an otherwise cushy job, in which case you really need to just git gud.
I totally fricked up once >Be me walking dog at dusk into park off the path. Dog stops still I look over at about 45 yards and see what I first assumed were two bushes. Then shit speed up so fast it went into slow motion. In millisecond's I was running commands in my head that I could never preform in the 2-3 seconds before 2 Large Javalinas came running at me at dog full speed I attempted in my mind to unlatch the dogs leash but he had already broke free from me as was running in the other direction I turn my back on the pigs all within this millisecond and trip over a root sticking up out of the ground and crash my head straight down on the graveled ground, seeing a big bolt of blue lightening from the impact. Laying there thinking hey this has to be a dream or something, then realizing those pigs are still charging. I grabbed two handfuls of gravel with my splayed out arms, spin around and the damn beasts were right at my feet. I threw with my strong hand the first shotgun blast of rocks as I was attempting to get up with the other arm, and then threw the other handful which made them both break off and run away as I was screaming like a caveman at them!
Yes most people. I remember when I was in the middle of a mass shooting, I took out my .357 and dome that fatty's head.
I thought you used a 9mm, Elijah
He's the boomer that killed the autist in the church with a p229
They're about as trained as fry cooks who've seen half a first aid video.
I've been stressed since I was a child. Molded by it. Under stress is when I focus better now. Like a laser beam shot through a diamond.

this sounds good, but makes no sense

Are you asking how to rest? Or are you just fat?

Don't fricking ever try curing any problem with alcohol. That's a slippery road which can only end in misery.

With alcohol you might be able to learn to embrace misery

its when all your training comes crashing into your skull as real shit is happin.
>Information Overload
Training is useful when you're actually drilled and shit is muscle memory.
If you have to triple check rounding a corner, you probably shouldn't round the corner.
Adrenaline is a helluva body component, you don't get overwhelmed if you remember:
Objective survive #1
Objective neutralize target #2
QRD on bubba here?
Qrd?
black cop putting a glock mag in the wrong way round
it's okay though, he went to police academy for six weeks so he's very qualified
I think people are just moronic in general. Almost all of the moronic conversations I've had occurred in zero to low stress circumstances.
