    *looks cooler in your path*

With that said, this is a nice offering from S&W. I appreciate the 15+1. I just don't really understand the performance center treatment for this gun aside from the compensator I guess. What is the purpose of 10 mm? Charging moose and bears and boars, right? Why do I need an optic? Why do I need all this Gucci bullshit?

If I were doing woods walks in Alaska, I'd go with the Sig 220 Legion. It just looks cooler, sorry.

Is there an IDPA/USPSA division where this gun would be useful. Don't USPSA guys shoot .40?

Genuine question. Is 10 mm used in competitions now?

        >Don't USPSA guys shoot .40
Not many of them. In Open division, they shoot 9mm Major (just a really hot loaded 9mm Para). The only place .40 exists is in the small Limited division which has rules that everything under .40 has a score penalty applied.

I do but I like recoil and am stupid for using a g40 racegun. Can't really buy parts so I have to make my own. I don't recommend it.

I think I'd rather get attacked by a bear than a pissed off drug zombie with a knife. Those tweaking frickers are insane when they go off the rails. Super strength, endless stamina, and bullet resistance.

Like other zombies, the trick is that you gotta get em in the head. All the inability to feel pain in the world stops making a difference if you can just hit the light switch and turn them off.

People like to use this video to back up why they need more gun, but it just shows that center mass hits that miss the spine will not stop someone immediately. Even though he took 13 rounds of .45 hollow points, he's still going to stay conscious and capable of moving if all of them just go through the soft tissue of his lower torso, until the 14th shot disrupted his central nervous system.

It's been proven that 45 ACP is anemic and basically no more effective than 9mm. Hot loaded 10mm ammo can send 200gr jhp downrange faster than 115gr Speer Gold Dots. More mass and more velocity means a better chance to penetrate and shatter bone like the sternum, rib cage, and spinal column.

Too bad there’s no good guns chambered in 10mm that aren’t Glocks or single stacks. Which renders any discussion of 10mm pointless.

.45 ACP+P is generally more powerful than any safe 9mm load, similarly to the .40S&W and .45 Super is a good reloader-friendly alternative to 10mm that can also be used for subsonics.

I want to get into 460 Rowland but the actual OEM ammo is perpetually out of stock. It also means investing $1k+ into a host FNX 45 and then another $200+ for the conversion. There are cheaper host guns you can use, but the FNX is the preferred option.

45 ACP is marginally better than 9mm in some metrics, but really they're about the same. Is it worth sacrificing four rounds of capacity in your magazine? With 10mm you generally only sacrifice two rounds vs 9mm and get something much more powerful. I'm not saying it's going to be overwhelmingly better than 9 or 45, but I think it's worth considering if you're already carrying a fullsize handgun that can make the most of it. The only reason the FBI didn't adopt it and went to 40 and then 9 is because of Affirmative Action female bimbo agents.

I was waiting for Sig to announce a Legion version of the P320 Xten, but it looks like S&W beat them to the punch with this new gun. It's selling online for $100 less than the Xten and comes with a ported barrel+slide, so yeah it seem worth it.

The 220 is an old sig hammer gun, not a nu sig striker with pajeet parts. At least that’s what I tell myself

If this was double stack I would buy it. Aftermarket threaded barrels for the P320 Xten are still not really available, so the M&P with the comp and tuned trigger seems like a pretty good deal for $700.

Too bad there’s no good guns chambered in 10mm that aren’t Glocks or single stacks. Which renders any discussion of 10mm pointless.

Why would you want your iron sights to get in the way of your red dot?

For when the red dot fails or using irons is faster acquisition.

This gun will literally blow you backwards like you got hit with a 12ga slug, and it will shoot straight through 4 people at once. It's the closest to .50bmg you can get in a magfed handgun and it is GODS CHOSEN CALIBER. Don't SPEAK TO ME if you aren't ATLEAST 1CM.

ATLEAST .45 USERS KNOW THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FOR FLESH DISPLACEMENT. IF YOU SPEAK IN MY PRESENCE OF .40 I'M LOADING YOUR ROUNDS WITH TANNERITE SO YOUR GUN EXPLODES.

Interesting. Post some specs next time, maybe a couple non-video prostitute reviews. I'm not doing your homework for you to run your thread. Is it rated for P+? If not, time to go home and re-design it.

Wake me when there's an FPC 10mm companion. I'm a fan of one-sack-of-mags-fits-all when I open my home defense bag. I'm in agreement with the 15+1 capacity, I'm very comfy with that in 10mm.

Different anon here, picrel is my ancient 5906. Note the hammer, among a couple other details. I've never confirmed it, but I have reasons to believe it's probably from the first generation of mass police sidearm production. Yeah, I love it and will never get rid of it. Never one jam or misfire for decades.

        >please no bully ... this is an old pic in the orig condition I got it; it's been well-cleaned & cared for since, as are all my weapons & tools

Since I don't know much about M&Ps (other than reviews & basics, plus get the 2.0), anyone know if they take these older S&W mags? It would be sweet and a nice incentive if I didn't have to buy a new set if I found a solid M&P for a good price.

I hate the wavy lines int he grip texture of M&P pistols. It's the reason I haven't bought any S&W. Looks too lame. If it was a monolithic grip texture with no lines it'd look cool.

You might not be aware of this, but there is a thing called "after market grips." Maybe look into that, and try to calm down a bit. You're going to give yourself an aneurysm.
