Turkey is way ahead of South Korea when it comes to aerospace. South Korea had more experience when it comes to tanks and howitzers partly because they were experienced with both US and USSR weaponry. In the 80s the USSR started trading with South Korea and then in the 1990s Russia paid back debts with weapons in lieu of cash. South Korea also had much easier access to Western engines, transmissions and ToT unlike Turkey in the 1990s and since the 2010s.
The KF-21 Boramae is full of US technology, which also means they can't sell it anyone without US permission and they can't do ToT either. The KF-21 includes Turkish subsystems and subcontraction as well.** The TF-X Kaan on the other hand is intended to be as indigenous as possible and includes no South Korean involvement. Only BAE Systems (UK) has any involvement with the TF-X and it eventually may or may not include a Rolls-Royce (UK) engine.
This is just a syndrome of people having no idea how to make stealth fighters outside of the USA.
Even the USA had the YF-23 competing and even outperforming the F-22 in trials, people are just trying to find their footing. If/when the European industries start understanding stealth you're probably going to start seeing it proliferate properly.
stealth isn't going out of style. for any application reducing your return signature by whatever% is important both for survivability and offence. relying on flying APS alone without stealth is just asking for people to go back to 'shitty but works' saturation strikes
It's a good design >be non US 5th gen fighter jet design team >have a prototype 5th gen plane on paper and models to show >present to militairy&polticians for funding. >"huh, why does it look like that, america made this (F22&F35) >why doesnt it look like what america made? >no funds for you!!
And thats why everybody is making a copy of the F35 and F22
>Thoughts on all jets starting to resemble the f22 and f35?
China hacked the pentagon almost a decade ago and ended up with the F35 design and as a result I am 100% sure China gives the design to anyone who asks nicely.
>women buy sleek low sedans for driving the kids around >chads in their utes and 4wd's and trucks scare and intimidate them on the road >they start buying bigger higher riding cars with more room to taxi the kids around >manufacturers notice this purchasing trend and start making cars to fit the market >they start pumping out city versions of higher riding cars that have the look and feel of the female oriented family sedan
you tell me?
It's because a lot of competitors have NO IDEA how to make a stealth fighter so instead of doing their own research they just copy the F-22. However, this just means they're looking at photos of the F-22 and making copies. They probably have no idea how stealthy aerodynamics work or they'd choose a different approach.

VGH SO MVCH SOVL
same gays will SOVLface 30 years later and say how "based" and "SOVL" multicam was
it goes around and comes around
is this Turkish meme jet actually gonna succeed or is it gonna end up like the Altay to the K2, as a license produced KF-21?
If the jet isn't made by Americans or western Europeans, then no it's not relevant and never will be.
dude, that's racist
>end up like the Altay to the K2, as a license produced KF-21?

Funny thing is they all use GE engine from 3 decades ago. Lmao
>Funny thing is they all use GE engine from 3 decades ago. Lmao
That's just for testing. It won't be on the production version.
But enough about the F35
so smearing shit on the jet makes it radar proof?
If that shape has already proven to lower rcs then it's just logical that others will want to use it as well
>inb4 muh sovl
there is a limited number of shapes that are stealthy and aerodynamic
*blocks your path*
>this never made it
sad
it's really not sad
the yiff 23, on the other hand..
Soon
Armata turrets will fly before that gets of the ground.
>turn the chessboard
that's not how chess works
>he doesn't know vranyo chess
It is in Russia when you are of losing.
Maybe as heavily redesigned MiG-21 variant
FAT-32
VGHHHHH

Stealthshitters are gonna be so mad when the new hotness, giant drone carriers with laser APS, get introduced

you live in such a simple world, like a chimp, or a brazilian
No doubt there's some espionage involved, but convergent design is common when your shape is primarily dictated by physics.
Look up convergent evolution, it'll blow your mind
One of the few Boeing Ws, a shame boomers thought maneuverability>stealth
Is that why the majority of modern cars are pigfat crossover blobs, or just maybe its just everyone aping design trends.

It's all so tiresome
bodykits on old soviet knock off junk. In short, IMPLESSIVE
what's the point of having the option of heat seekers OUTSIDE the missile bays?

All those who insisted stealth is a meme are now skulking quietly
>don't worry they'll be back to shit on the next thing basedmurica does
