Say an active mass shooter in your country was shot dead by a person (illegally) CC'ing a 3D printed pistol. It's clear from the way the shooting was going that there'd been a lot more dead if the shooter had not been shot. What would happen to the person who stopped the shooter? How would the media and the public react to it?

Media would deem it gang violence. You'd be in prison for illegally providing gangs illegal weapons. The government, the public, the media, are all foreign to the phantom good guy with a gun.

I'm American, but considering the fact that there's a good chance the perp would also have 3D printed firearm that's one hell of a debate to have.

I'm in Ireland, despite being an island with incredibly strict anti-terrorism and firearms control laws the country was flooded with weapons and terror for decades. Even now drug dealers and criminals and terrorists shoot each other and bystanders with modern handguns etc. So my question to you OP is why the frick would such a person use a 3d printed anything instead or just getting a gun legally or illegally? By second question is where do they get the barrel and ammunition from? I mean what's the idea here OP someone has a gun and ammunition and they take it apart and destroy it to get the barrel and then make a worse gun that has a plastic handle? So your fantasy hero has taken apart a perfectly good gun to make a crap gun and just happened to be in the right place at the right time to shoot a spree shooter? How would anyone know he was not an accomplice of the spree shooter? It may be circumstantial but in just the right place at just the right time? In general I'd expect they would get jailed for illegal possession and probably manslaughter. Also OP. Stop having moronic hero fantasies.

      >Media would deem it gang violence.
Possibly this also or similar. "Two men opened fire on each other and several bystanders were killed"

I'm in Taiwan, and despite being an island with incredibly strict anti-terrorism and firearms control laws, I would have no idea where to find a gun around here unless I beat a cop's head in and stole his. Even the armored car drivers who pick up money from cash-oriented businesses only have shock batons, no guns.

On the other hand, recently a Thai laborer was arrested for possession of an illegal firearm, which he 3D printed and made ammo for using nailgun blanks. Apparently he loved hunting and so he made a rifle to go shoot animals with, and got busted almost immediately.

And 2022....where a guy stopped the mass shooter, was in the process of clearing the gun when a panicked scared police officer shot him dead

Also, in the eyes of the United States Federal government stopping a mass shooting is bad.....since the cause of most CO2 in the atmosphere is humans according to them

A mass shooting in where a ton of humans and the shooter dies is a great thing. Because you lowered the population, ended bloodlines and reduced the carbon footprint of hundreds of humans.

Also you don't need to waste government resources on feigning a trial since the shooter self deletes so it's a win win

There's discretion in charging people with crimes. The US justice system is meant to consider the human element. A cop doesn't always have to give you a ticket for X just for pulling you over and warning you, the same is true of any crime. For literally any crime law enforcement, the prosecutor's office, or a judge can use discretion and not charge you or find you guilty of a crime. If you saved a bunch of lives but were breaking a law, I can see discretion being used for sure. Unless you're white and in an anti-white state, they'll look for anything to fry a white man to make it look like you're the real criminals.

      Anonymous

Why are you talking about le US justice system when it is completely irrelevant and aside from not being very relevant not a very good system one in which paedophiles and murders walk free because they can pay the right lawyer. It is not actually at the discretion of police or prosecutors which law to enforce or when because that itself would be an avenue to corruption. Police have an obligation to do their duty irrespective of their sentiment. The judge may have the chance to wave a sentence after conviction based on mitigating points but the police or prosecutor do not in functioning criminal jurisdictions on any basis other than the prospect of successful conviction.

      This anon has the answer

There's already been cases where someone illegally possessed a weapon, used it to lawful defend themself, and was given extemely light sentencing for the weapon charge. While their possession was still illegal, iirc the court ruled that everyone is entitled to self defence regardless of the nature of the means.

Dont remember the exact situation but there was some fairly recent

Yes, it really is that hard. You would have to find a machinist who was willing to do it and who wouldn't instantly rat you out to the cops. That's difficult even in burgerland, forget anywhere else in the world.

Either that or own your own machine shop. In a place like Taiwan where most people live in postage-stamp sized apartments and don't have huge basements or garages or even a second room to store things in, that's not going to happen much.

OTOH when it does you get things like the assassination attempt on President Chen back in 2004. The would-be assassin worked with some relative of his, who happened to own a machine shop and who was also a fanatical KMT butthole, to make the gun he used.

Basically the same as if you'd got caught with the 3D-printed gun

, the Juweler's case (Juwelierszaak) from Deurne is a foundational cornerstone for Dutch law regarding self-defence. Even with an illegal gun, assuming you defend yourself with excessive violence, this is called ''noodweer'' (emergency self-sefence) and although you might be sentenced for the act of murder there is no jailtime or fine connected to said sentence.

Im living in Germany here, we have based anti-gun laws if sometimes too lax.

    I remember two court cases:

The police came to arrest some (yet legally - gun laws are too fricking lax if Hells angels get access to death instruments) and cause he was armed and a fricking HA they no knock raided or something with SWAT. HA blasts one dead claims self defense cause he thought it's a rival gang raid. Court agrees, he's cleared of shooting a cop.

Another case was a woman being threatened by a stalker Gang whatever she got an illegal gun and shot the perp while he was in her home. Court cleared her of both killing him and illegal possession, seeing both as acts of self defense.

So common sense gun laws work, you just have to have a sane society and a sane legal system (both incomprehensible to AmeriBlack folk)

From my understsnding of the system, I would say they probably would not get charged for murder, but the state would charge them with possession of an illegal firearm and possibly manslaughter. Of course given the circumstances, I think there would be at least a couple of people in the jury who would refuse to rule against him, so they might have a decent chance of getting off. Definitely not getting the gun back though.

There was an old boomer who killed a gypsy for trying to rob him inside his house, he went to prison for life.
If the shooter retreats home and tries to defend himself from the police, they will send the special police to capture him, but because this isn't america. They will not be able to handle an attacker inside his home with a gun, so many of them will die, they will eventually cut his water and electricity to force him to surrender.
It has happened before with a boomer and his shotgun.

Poland: he would be charged automatically with murder but that would be dropped because our law specifically let's you use anything on hand to defend people's lives. No matter if it's a kitchen knife or your grandpa's over-under. The police would try everything then can to spin it that it looks like you were actively seeking such situation or came to far for firing at his back or something. You WILL be charged with illegal possession, which is up to 8 years in jail. In France, a mass shooter would very probably be using an illegal gun, which should make a difference, but ultimately doesn't.

Illegal guns represent 99.9% of gun crime and 100% of mass shootings. Globohomosexual is working hard to blur the line between "legal, law-abiding owners", and the whole group of "murderers" and "terrorists", in order to prepare a gun ban under the pretense of "crime".

The many terror attacks we've been through didn't change much, neither on gun ownership, nor even on border control. Even some terror attacks are now considered minor events, and barely make local news. Now it did shake some people, but it's nowhere near enough. I don't think a 3D printed gun being involved, and saving the day, would change anything. It'd just lead to some shitty control measure of 3D printers, or the story being buried.

The sad truth is that in order to shake things up, we'd need an hyper massive, unstoppable shooting that kills thousands.

In Germany a Hells Angels guy shot a policeman trying to arrest him through his front door. The judge ruled it as justifiable self defense since he couldn't know it was the police and not an intruder.
You may be in trouble for illegally owning a gun though. I'm not a lawyer but my guess is there won't be any charges for killing someone but for illegally owning a gun.
I just checked the law. Illegal ownership of guns without intent of selling them or involvement of gangs carries a sentence of 3 years max, maybe less if the judge is nice.

      >there won't be any charges for killing someone but for illegally owning a gun.

All depends on whether you have a codified right to self-defense. In many countries if someone broke into your house or threatened you you wouldn't actually be at fault for murking them.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned probation -- that's also kind of likely as well if the spirit of the case renders the gun-owner as someone who would've been brutalize or killed. Yes, even cuck non-America countries are sometimes decent.

Not trying to start shit here but seeing how much Kyle Rittenhouse had to go through, even though there is clear evidence of his innocence left a bad taste in my mouth. I feel like this case would have been a lot more straightforward in Europe, if carrying a firearm was more common.

In Turkey, you would be charged with murder, having an illegal weapon, the mass media would berate you for "not waiting for the police" and social media would berate you for being a bloodthirsty gun owner just looking for a fight. moronic cucked country.

How is gun ownership in Turkey? I know you guys can own shotguns and bolt actions, but can you own pistols and semi auto rifles?

        Anonymous

In order of ease of acquiring:
        >Shotguns (semi autos as well)
        >Bolt actions
        >Pistols: 2 different types of licenses, "owning" and "carrying". You need a reason for both, people who make a lot of money and especially those who deal with customers are allowed to have "owning" licenses where they can keep guns in their workplace or house. Carrying licenses allow you to have guns on your person and are serious. You'd need to be considered to be in serious danger at all times to have them. Not many people get them.
        >Semi auto rifles: No

Most of these are particularly hard to get, but even then the majority of weapons in Turkey are actually illegally owned. There's also a rather sizable industry of homemade/Black person-rigged firearms, as well as smuggled ones. The powers dont really care, the problem with OPs scenario isnt really the gun ownership but the self defense scenario. Turkey has ridiculously cucked self defense laws. Someone got 8 years for *winning a knife fight with a thief in his own house*. The thief didnt even fricking die.

I know someone who has an illegal semi auto rifle but he cant find ammo for it (280 remington). He probably could find someone to make it if he actually looked, especially around the black sea area where the hicks live.

Doesn't seem too bad, depending on how hard it is to obtain a pistol owning license. Caniks are getting popular here, would be a shame if you can't own guns made in your own country.

I somehow missed one of the main points of the question, the 3d printed gun. Well, they would charge you with manufacturing (and probably selling, even if you didnt) an illegal firearm, add some terrorism charges and very likely start regulating 3d printers. Such is life in the turd world.

The short answer is that it depends entirely on the DA. I think it is extremely unlikely that you would not be charged for anything, and also unlikely you would get the book thrown at you - where it lands between those two extremes would depend on the DA, the parties involved, and so forth.

No murder charge because of self-defense but you will still be charged for possessing an unlicensed firearm and producing an illegal weapon.

The CC'er would be charged with carrying an offensive weapon and probably sentenced up to 15 years in jail. Most of the population would either memoryhole it or call the CC'er a coward. No enquiry would be made on where the mass shooter obtained the firearm to begin with.

In my coutry it would be 18 months jail for the abusive carry of a firearm, max 6 years for excess of self defence (more likely 1-2 years) and dunno for the fabrication of weapons. If the scenario gets recognized like you mention then realistically you probably wouldn't go to jail as your sentence is under 3 years. It would be transformed in a fine and society services.

Either acquitted on all charges related to the shooting or convicted on 'exceeding self-defense', and then convicted on a 'firearm crime' for illegal possesion.

    depends where it took place.
West Coast, North East, MN, or Chicago they are completely fricked.

The rest? Prosecutor and Judge desciption as well as public opinion may save them.

Beaner here, in beaner land or mexico as you burgers call it... it's almost illiegal to hurt your assailant and if you are dumb enough to stick around after you did, in some cases the policia will take your ass to jail an charge you.

I'm legit not being sarcastic or joking, the rules of engagment are wait for the thief to enter your abode, if he threatens you make sure he's armed, if he's armed ask him if he's serious, then wait until he shoots first or tries to stab you, then you can defend your self but without a fire arm and you cannot shoot or kill said theif/invader/dindu.

Our pendejo presidente Obrador (litterally translates to shitter) decided to setup a hugs not guns policy.

Good thing guns are banned here in mejico, can you imagine what would happen if people had access to guns? omaiga

there will be a jury trial and the guy will walk with no charges
it's legal for a citizen to manufacture firearms for your personal use in USA, so the only charge will be illegal concealed carry and maybe some californian bullshit about manufacturing an "unsafe off-roster handgun"
