This MagPul stock on the 10/22 is so damn neat

I wish more guns had this feature.

Should add a detach for the stock so t can have a pistol grip and a second 3 inch barrel so it can become a handgun.

Would there be any legal issues if you 3D printed a takedown stock that did this? Not sure about something that can turn into two different classes of firearm.

rifle to hand gun is bad
        handgun to rifle is fine
buy a charger and make a stock and longer barrel for it
        >this might not be how the law works but im pretty sure it is this stupid

Wouldn't you technically be 'manufacturing' a rifle and/or handgun every time you attached/detached the barrel and stock instead of converting it?

            receiver is the rifle

Um... no? The receiver is the rifle. Takedowns have been a thing forever. If what you said is true then field stripping a pistol and putting it back together is manufacturing a firearm.

You have been visited by the comfy, curled up 10/22 of good fortune. Plentiful ammo and fun times will come to you, but only if you reply: Sleep tight, plinker

Wannabe gun designer here, does anyone think that a series of ultralight singleshot (break action, falling block, or maybe even "rising block"/bradshaw action) with a similar stock would be cool?

Use case for a folding stock singleshot with pistol rounds is limited
For defense you dont want a single .357 vs a bear
for hunting a .22 will kill small game and damage less meat and for medium-large game you want shotgun or rifle rounds
and for plinking a .22 is fine again

you get a bit more power by putting pistol rounds through a rifle length barrel but they are not optimized for it, the success of pccs isnt about the increased power, but the ultra low recoil for quick follow up shots. Not enough benefit for a single shot.

moron here, why is it better than the Ruger brand Ruger takedown?

because the 2 parts stick together?
its also probably much lighter than the wood

been thinking of getting it for mine because the receiver doesnt fit well in the wood stock and the 1 screw holding it in place backs out, but I should probably just file it down and get some lock tight

I've been considering one of these, does it provide enough clearance for the safety to just push through when removing the receiver? I've got a binary trigger, and its a hassle having to remove the selector switch every time I have to disassemble it with my current stock.

It is pretty nice, fits in a backpack great especially without a scope. I bought mine a couple years back and it's my favorite .22 that I have.
