No, this is the cheap, easily transportable version of it.

Best? In what sense? Payload? no. Range? no.

Cost effectiveness and mobility? yeah maybe. That being said, for what they are and what they do, they might as well be alien tech for Russia, they can't seem to get a single one of them in over 2 fucking months

      >they can't seem to get a single one of them in over 2 fucking months
Even if they did, what would exactly would that prove? That the system isn't literally invincible?

We both know that's exactly what they are going to do if they ever manage to hit one, just like the serbs with that F117

          >Vatniks bag a single HiMARs truck
          >entire BRICS collective has celebrations in the street, Eye of the Tiger starts playing, a new holiday is declared, footage is played on repeat in sports stadiums, at weddings and christenings

            No the HIMARS is

            https://i.imgur.com/1tcgcHx.png

How I wish I was a HIMARS that would terrorize the russians, destroy their bases and depots, end their lives and forever be the nightmare in their sleep and monster under their bed and the boogeyman they see in the shadows traumatising the survivors to the end of their short lives. When they see lumbertrucks they would see me, when they see logs they see my deadly rockets.
            >MFW my operators bring up an ATACM cassette so that I may end the lives of russians further away

No they were called M270. Using the same rockets, the same fire controll, the same communication, the same electronics.
So they basically mounted the system on a truck.
            Muh wunderwaffel. Vatniks disappoint again.

HIMARS is the best currently. It’s got the best FCS, most accurate, longest range (between 12km and 500+km) and most extensive combat record.

            "MLRS"
            >Can only fire ONE large rocket at a time
            >"Multiple"
            Not really
            >"Best"
            No.
One could argue for the M270 but HIMARS? Nah.

You're describing ATACMS and Ukraine hasn't actually received ATACMS. In the configuration Ukraine is using, HIMARS ripples off 6 M31A1 GPS guided rockets.

The PRSM has a much longer range than any other light mlrs and GMLRS rockets have a range up to 150km

ER is not in service yet. And by the time it's in service K239 will have 200km missiles.

HIMARS is not the best but it's very good, cheap, small and extremely mobile.

those are romach rockets, guided 122mm and it can carry 36 of those (the pods can fit any 122mm grad variant tho)
alternatively it can carry 8 306mm EXTRA guided rockets with 150km range or 2 of pic related with 400km range

          Much better.
          >Carries SIX TIMES as many small rockets without reloading
          >Carries 2 more (Medium) rockets than HIMARS with 160% the range
          >Carries twice as many big boi rockets
          >Looks like an angry fiery spider when deployed
We've got a new player on top of the leaderboard.

EXTRA is basically the equivalent of ER-GMLRS, both are 150km range but the israeli one carries 2 pods of 4 on the lahav truck where's the US can carry 1 pod of 6 on a HIMRS truck or 2 pods on an M270.

also the same rocket used for ground-to-ground is adapted for air launch (rampage missile)

            and sea launch (trigon missile)

it can even be used be used against moving targets and ships if you have a drone feeding you the ship's position

EXTRA and RAMPAGE are commonly used in israeli strikes in syria in recent years you can find pics of missile debris that looks like EXTRA/RAMPAGE from syria strikes. EXTRA is used in strikes near damascus mostly since it's pretty fast and when used at such ranges on fairly flat trajectories its hard to shoot down.

The small rockets have 1/3 the range of a big standard GMLRS rocket. That’s terrible

the "medium" would be the one to compare, as its 8 vs 6 capacity..

this thing can take 2 pods of
              >6x 227mm ra'am eitan cluster warhead rocket (same caliber as GMLRS and it can mount standard GMLRS/m270 pods)
              >18x 122mm AccuLAR 122 guided rocket 35km range
              >4x 306mm EXTRA guided rocket 150km range
              >2x 370mm Predator Hawk 370mm guided rocket 300km range

the israeli rocket truck is bigger but it has
              >outrigger stabilizing legs + accurate aiming system + 122mm rocket pods (the most plentiful and cheap caliber of unguided rocket artillery) so it can serve as a relatively very accurate unguided rocket truck in addition to firing guided rockets
              >powerful onboard crane - coupled with the stabilizing legs means it can quickly reload rocket pods in the field in addition of being capable of doing shit engineering vehicles with cranes do like pulling out stuck friendly vehicles or even switching out armor modules or an engine on a friendly tank (not that i think it would be used this way but engineering vehicles with similar cranes do this)

              so it's strength is flexibility.

HIMARS was built mainly for speed and plane-transportability, this thing is basically a faster, more accurate and more self sufficient wheeled m270.

          Nope
The GMLRS system replaced all of that in the M270 in 2006 to make the M270A1.
HIMARS has the same rockets and comms system as M270A1 but a more modern FCS than the initial M270A1 GMLRS fire control system.
The new upgraded M270A2s that have started being delivered this year have a common FCS with HIMARS

Well of course they upgraded. But the main idea is from the 80s. And Russia has nothing against it. And its not some sort of niche product, the US has around 400 of them. Add the MARS system which is similar its truely astonishing how much the vatniks fucked up.

There are 3+ mars, but unfortunately Germany don't want videos of their stuff. They told this in pzh2000 Trainings, so I assume they tell it in mars Trainings too.

Who the fuck cares if the system is from the 80's. In weapons like that the hull doesn't matter at all, rockets are all that matters. The 80's design of truck and launcher still works and does it's job what's the point of creating new ones? And new rockets for that system have been developed and are in development.
