The g26 is superior in every way aside from thickness. If that extra width is going to hinder you from carrying then get the g48 over the 43x but if you can handheld the girth, get the glock 26.
yeah then you own a glock 19
i don't have any reliability issues with my 19 or my 43x with 15rd mags
may i see your glocks so i know you're speaking from a position of experience?
I have 2 g17s, a g48 and a g42. I've owned a g19 and a g26 as well. You can indeed make a g26 larger but you can't make a g19 smaller.
I thought I would really enjoy the g48 but I'm just not that into it. If I'm looking for something small and light I just carry the g42 with a vickers plus 2 and if I want something larger I'll move to a double stack glock and skip the skinny 9mms.
To each their own, but to argue that a g48 or g43x is superior to a g26 in any other realm than comfort is patently absurd.

>You can indeed make a g26 larger but you can't make a g19 smaller.
and you can just buy a glock 43x, like i did
i have a 17 19 43 and 43x, i've shot my friends 26
i even make my own 15rd mags for the 43x out of glock 17 mags cut down, and they work great
i cut the plastic off the mag, tig weld on a butt plate and thin metal spacers to the front back back to increase thickness for better fitment, they work amazing
you can even do this to 33rd mags and they work great in the 43x

Only because companies like PSA invested in production right before covid.
It shoots better than a micro 9 because it's not a micro 9, it's fucking wide as the double wide you typed this from.
I've carried both and I started with the 26 and then moved to the p365 when I could afford better.
Sure it shoots like a micro 9, but it feels like one too, when you're holding it and when you're carrying it. G26 is fine to carry, but p365 much nicer.
P30sk is noticeably larger than a g26 in hand but they're essentially the same class of gun. If you prefer DA/SA you won't find many options that are as small as a p30sk.
My friend bought one, I told him how dumb it was and that everything was better. We went to the range together one day and I put a few mags through it and did great. He mentioned he was looking at a different pistol but couldn't afford it so I bought it on the spot and have been carrying it for the last six years.
Makes sense. With how I personally grip a pistol, my pinky doesn't meaningfully contribute to the grip whether there is room on the grip for it or not, so the dangling pinky thing was never reallg an issue for me on subcompacts. Oddly enough that was something I picked up from one of Hickok's videos years ago and found it worked well for me. Hell may have even been one of his videos on the Glock 26 come to think of it.
Beautiful combo, anon. I had the same setup about 10yrs ago. I've migrated towards a .22lr j frame and a g48 but I'm ready to ditch the g48 for either a g26 or g19.
Those 2 guns should cover most anyone's needs. If I weren't such a skelly I'd have that setup but a 22lr j frame, g42 and soon to be g26/19 will do just fine.
G42 for me is much more shootable and likable than 43. My g19 is still my most shot gun (around 25-30k in 6 years), but I train with 26 also (so far maybe 5k rounds in 5 years) and can shot it like 95% of what I can do with bigger ones.
Yeah the quest for small 9mms reaches diminishing returns anytime you go below a g26. The 43 and even p365 just suck to shoot and followup shots are greatly diminished. Yes the 9mm is quite a bit more powerful than a .380 but good hits are better than bad hits and an fmj .380 will absolutely reach the vitals.
The great thing about the g26 is that all your training in a g19/17/45/34 directly translates to the g26. Same trigger, same grip but abbreviated, etc. The g48 I have requires a different grip which puts my trigger finger into a different position. Basically, with my g42,g48 and g17 setup I have to learn on three different guns. With a g17/g26 combo and a g42, I'm essentially only training on two different guns. This saves a lot of time and money, especially because of mags/parts/holster compatability.

Yup, totally agree with you. And I like that all my mags for bigger ones are for 26, almost all my holster are also for 17/19/26..

spend a couple bucks and get your barrel ported if you want your tiny gun to shoot nice
3 weeks ago

I did consider that but they tend to shear off pieces of the jacket and send them upward with enough force to pierce skin. I am not sure I'd be practicing retention shooting anyway so it's probably a moot point.
you can glock switch any glock other than a 42 and 43, those have difference size backplates that are smaller
some chink company prob sells them for 42 and 43 on aliexpress tho
i'm not gonna bother looking because i don't care
I don't see why you would want to. Subcompacts are snappy, so it'll be harder to keep on target, and you also don't get a lot of capacity with flush-fit magazines so I don't see why you'd want to put your felony device on anything other than a full size.
I rented one in like 2009 and i liked it
It does?
does the trigger suck as much as it looks like it would
when you pull it
gun go bang
Wider surface area to spread out the felt recoil into your hand I guess.
that or the 43x?
The g26 is superior in every way aside from thickness. If that extra width is going to hinder you from carrying then get the g48 over the 43x but if you can handheld the girth, get the glock 26.
>completely ignores 15rd mags
oof
You can put functioning 15 round mags into a g26 without worrying about reliability issues
yeah then you own a glock 19
i don't have any reliability issues with my 19 or my 43x with 15rd mags

Based
I've tried a p365xl, shield plus, hellcat, al still worse than the baby glawk
if you think a p365xl is worse than a 2x4 glock 26 you're either a noguns or just weirdly retarded
show me the 33 round P365 Black
It's called 2 17 round x macro mags. Why the fuck would you want a 33 round jam machine that's the size of your wife's boyfriend's dick?
Excuse me double Black but I don't think capacity has anything to do with how well something shoots.
Lol the 26 is so much wider and still has less capacity flush. Not optics cut, worse trigger, substantially worse ergos. Get fucked glocksucker
>tiny hands retard cant shoot without optics and is too dumb to change trigger
got it
No the glock 26 just shoots better than a micro 9. Keep coping sigger.
Yeah but it’s a modern Sig product you’re recommending, meaning I’ll stick to my Glock as there’s some form of QC, unlike Sig.
Wut about p30sk? On handgun hero, they're of similar length, but the p30sk is a little taller
I have a P2000SK and it's incredibly pleasant to shoot. Make sure to get the flat magazine bases. The ones with a rubber lip are worse than useless.
P30sk is noticeably larger than a g26 in hand but they're essentially the same class of gun. If you prefer DA/SA you won't find many options that are as small as a p30sk.
Its a bigger gun
>Every single person I know hated the Glock 26 when they handled it
>They instantly change their opinion when they actually shoot it
If Glock could just get a light rail slot on the 26, it would be the best carry 9.
This was me.
My friend bought one, I told him how dumb it was and that everything was better. We went to the range together one day and I put a few mags through it and did great. He mentioned he was looking at a different pistol but couldn't afford it so I bought it on the spot and have been carrying it for the last six years.
P80 sub compact frame
Without a doubt. It's thicker, yes, but it shoots great.
I think Hickok said he shoots it as well or better than the bigger ones.
Original babyglock is really good gun. Carry her more than my other guns.
Beautiful combo, anon. I had the same setup about 10yrs ago. I've migrated towards a .22lr j frame and a g48 but I'm ready to ditch the g48 for either a g26 or g19.
Thank you. That LCR is standard .38. I like the thickness of g26 frame more than 42/43. And with my height (6.2) it's fairly easy to conceal.
Those 2 guns should cover most anyone's needs. If I weren't such a skelly I'd have that setup but a 22lr j frame, g42 and soon to be g26/19 will do just fine.
G42 for me is much more shootable and likable than 43. My g19 is still my most shot gun (around 25-30k in 6 years), but I train with 26 also (so far maybe 5k rounds in 5 years) and can shot it like 95% of what I can do with bigger ones.

how common is it for a new usa made gen5 26 to jam right out of the box? NO lube used before use
>had two
>both had issues during first 200 rounds
>went away afterwards
General consensus is they are oversprung out the box. It's also the only Glock model I've ever had any issues with including Gen3 & 4 26s.
More common than prior generations. I think it's the marksman barrel breaking in but I'm not certain. Lube that sucker up regardless.
Nah some micro 9s give you a 3 finger grip
thats because thicc chode>
grip. I hate how much the industry caters to baby hands
I have manlet baby hands and still prefer the g26
Why would I get this when a Glock 19 is just as easy to carry.
Can you glockswitch a 26?
you can glock switch any glock other than a 42 and 43, those have difference size backplates that are smaller
