I didn't even look at the image I just saw a range thread and posted my most recent experience. That reminds, almost none of my bullets went to where I was pointing the gun, the time before that I was roughing handing in the correct area but my shots and my friend's shots were insanely inaccurate I have no idea why.

It's your grip, line of sight, and trigger finger movement in that microsecond instance before the gun goes off that the untrained don't even realize.
It takes actual skill to use handguns beyond 10 feet. That's why you have to autistically focus on every twitch you make for recoil control and trigger disciple to start punching smileys and hearts on paper at 25 yards.
          Keep practicing

Yeah I just need to pick my carry gun already so I can start practicing seriously. Half assing it at the range with random handguns for an hour once a month isn't doing it lmao

Pick a full sized handgun first. Get used to the ergos of what a pistol feels and handles like. Dry fire for funsies and get used to trigger release and reset lengths.
I recommend a single-double action hammer fire with a low bore axis like a cz75b. My SP01 Phantom shoots like hot fricking butter.
Ultimately, it comes down to whatever feels best in your hands and what's easier to build muscle memory for

                >almost none of my bullets went to where I was pointing the gun,
spooky, and yea where one things they are pointing a gun vs the alignment of the barrel are often very different, and the bullet is just off doing its own thing mid air anyway.
starting out when pistol shooting its the grip angle that messed me up most auto loaders, more training allows one to compensate for such variance among guns,
altho at the higher end of target shooting at longer ranges I notice people get almost to the point of superstition in following a routine.
                [...]
                >trigger finger movement in that microsecond
using a camera with greater than 300 mm focal length gives a similar feeling, and often blury photos lol

I'm getting a revolver most likely, last time I shot a SCAR and some bolt action then limpwristed some autoloader and went home. My aim was fine for the two rifles so I don't know how I was so bad shooting the two SP101s I tried. I was only shooting to 7 feet, my friend was even worse because he would put the target to 10 feet and miss everything somehow.
Definitely need to practice more, I need to find a different range because the one close to me barely has any guns to rent. I want to shoot a GP100.

GP100 is the breasts. Save money on ammo and get good with recoil management by using 9mmLuger and 380acp with moon clips (you should only ever use speedloaders and moon clips in a revolver)
Taurus makes the 692 that has a 7 shot capacity and comes with a 9mm luger specific cylinder so you can use 9mm with speedloaders

Are you me? I’m probably going to snag a VP9 or HK45 and use that as a full sized carry.

It's a little bit of work OP just don't be a whiney gay about it. Find a stretch of public land that is an appreciable distance from state/county maintained roads and has an agreeable backstop. Take pains to not leave junk/garbage after each session. Take a garbage can with you and yes, pick up after previous morons the main point being to prevent the land ending up off limits to all and a best hope to catch any such cum bags and smoke thier asses...in relative privacy.

There's a common phrase that people love to quote and say it came from Men in Black.

      >A person is smart. People are stupid.

The reality is that everyone is stupid and everyone thinks they're smart. Highly intelligent people can be some of the most biased folk on the planet because they're good at defending beliefs they hold for emotional reasons.

No, that's actually a Crosman AIR 17 missing the "magazine" (pellet/harmonica magazine storage). I think they took one of their other models and just modified the mold for the receiver to look the part from a distance; the carry handle is just screwed on the old scope rail. moronic but it's one of the few single pump air rifles I know of.

because that shit can get you shut down in most countries
for burgers it's a legislative and enforcement issue
non-burger commercial ranges have far stricter regulations and penalties so range rules are enforced, usually beyond what is necessary

My range has open range day and the rifle range is always full of morons or poor gays, it's abysmal. Never going again. Last time was a guy who didn't even know what his gun was when i pointed out it was cool, even asked what the fricking "3-9" meant on his scope. Asked if mags/etc left on the bench were his. The weird part is that he was shooting really good but had no idea what the frick i was talking about when he asked about my guns. Claims he got his stuff used and is getting back into it but I'm starting to think he stole it. Now I'm paranoid it's some clepto who just goes to ranges getting peoples tags off their cars or something.
