Meanwhile zoomers think it's fake and are starting to believe again the Earth is flat.

Only some years ago we hoped for man-portable lasers, battlemechs and space battleships, all manned by humans, nowadays people are literally reverting both to medieval beliefs and all this basedslop trash about non binary gender, basically picking the worst aspects of both worlds.

I mean I'd fully support nuclear feudalism if it meant power armor knights with futuristic energy swords, EM crossbows, robot calvary, and single shot energy weapons. But no, like you said we don't get the cool outcome

We should have yearly nuclear testing for fun. We could sell tickets.

Vegas used to advertise nuclear tests in the 1950s.

Well, you live in times where you can witness life & full HD russians being blown up by the thousands by flying toys, so don't complain.

Don’t worry, lots of people will get to witness it in person within the next 5-10 years, albeit briefly.

If you're in Ukraine, soon you might see this too. 🙂

Yeah, you could probably see a lot of mushroom clouds to the east after the vatniks attempt (and fail) to perform a nuclear strike on Ukraine. When was their last successful ICBM test?

Being a Navyman (or a Japanese fisherman) getting to watch a nuke test on water or in space out at a Pacific atoll and watching all those scrapped battleships get fucked up would have been kino.

I met a Hiroshima survivor in Hiroshima like 4 years ago.
Dude said he was like 13 at the time and happened to be out of town with his family that day, and was actually pretty chill about the whole thing. Super based old man 10/10 would go to Hiroshima again.

My Grandad saw the Graple X and Y tests while he was in the service. He said film of a nuclear explosion dosnt come close to reality of it.

I'd imagine its one hell of a thing to see in person. My great grandfather was on the Indianapolis when it delivered the components for little boy. Obviously, he never got to see the results of what he delivered firsthand, but he did get to fight off hungry sharks for 5 days straight so thats that

Yup, just with burn scars that covered his entire body from the wreckage. Never stepped foot on another boat after his service though

      >think of the tourism profits
You're greatly underestimating how much money and resources it takes to build nuclear weapons
