anyone else find it hilarious when americans worry about xenoestrogens in their water bottles and hiking clothes? considering the diets they've had their entire lives.
european anons get a pass this time, they actually have some degree of consumer protections against this stuff.

This really is the crown israeliteel so to speak, one that will endure time and decay, far surpassing me and other generations to come. This is my legacy if you will, passed on from one lineage to the other. A piece of such grandeur taste and sophistication that it stuns a man once it enters sight. Yet to a pleb, ah yes a grand and magnificent pleb that he is, this is sadly just another tool. One must see beyond the standard spectrum to truly appreciate the beauty that it holds.

i can't stand using water bladders personally but silicone water bladders are even better than titanium/aluminum/steel water bottles. there's no xenoestrogens but its also way more chemically inert than metal.

nah but trolling aside if any anons lurking don't like plastic water bottles and want to avoid them, you have 4 viable options:
titanium: ranges from imparting no taste, to a slight aluminum taste. the worst titanium is cleaner than cheap steel. cheap titanium can have a lot of aluminum in it so you might get a taste. sucks for boiling in. decently light weight. bulky. expensive. tends to have long term durability issues with the lids.
aluminum: imparts slight taste. good at everything but it will break if you step on it or drop it off a cliff. decent for boiling in. all the alzeimer's health concerns with aluminum are a boomer myth and not real. cheap, light, bulky, lasts forever.
silicone bladder: imparts no taste. most chemically inert of all choices. can't boil in it. light weight, compact, moderately expensive. evernew and platypus guarantee there's no bullshit in their silicone.
steel: doesn't impart taste. could have lead and various other shit in it if the steel is of questionable origin. very heavy, bulky, cheap, lasts forever.
all above are free of xenoestrogens but might have other health concerns.
and when comparing brands to each other, other than the quality of the materials, the most important thing to consider is the lid, both in terms of performance if you plan to ever use it with hot beverages, and long term durability.
everything you ever need to know about water containers that aren't your standard backpacker smartwater/dasani/nalgene.

      >cheap titanium can have a lot of aluminum in it so you might get a taste.
I use a plastic bottle so I'm not sure but for spoons, stainless steel tastes better. Titanium has a weird taste, maybe because too much aluminum in it.

steel has the least taste of anything reasonable to take hiking. silicone is good too but you always get a slight hint of whatever you clean it with over time that never quite goes away. only real concern with steel is quality of the steel itself, chinesium pot steel doesn't always but definitely can have a bunch of lead in it.

      >all the alzeimer's health concerns with aluminum are a boomer myth and not real.
Not if you're brewing coffee or anything else acidic in it.
That will attack the aluminium oxide layer.

acidic food in aluminum can cause aluminum transfer at heightened levels, but all the research saying aluminum transfer causes alzeimer's was retracted by its author years ago and he's published other studies saying it doesn't.

The lid on that thing sucks
1)doesnt have enough twixst spirals to seal
    2)makes awful grinding noise
    3)leaks easily
Havent seen a perfect titanium design yet. Not worth 170 dollarinos to invest in future research by chinese companies. Japanese snow peak is the only decent titanium manufacturer but they only desire to make titanium saki storage.

Holy shit! Is that a Keith Titanium canteen set?

When it comes to outdoor gear, there is nothing more reliable and durable than the Keith Titanium Canteen Set. This set consists of a 1-liter canteen and a titanium cup, and it is designed to withstand whatever the elements can throw at it. The canteen is made from a single piece of titanium, which makes it extremely lightweight, yet incredibly strong and resilient. The cup is made from the same material, and its double-walled construction ensures that your drinks stay hot or cold for hours on end.

The craftsmanship that goes into each Keith Titanium Canteen Set is simply amazing. Every detail of the canteen is carefully considered and put together with the utmost care. From the ergonomic handle to the precision-engineered lid, each part of the canteen is meticulously made to ensure maximum performance and longevity. The cup, too, is designed to be rugged and reliable, with a comfortable handle and superior heat retention.

    For me it’s Keith Titanium.

Pretty cool but what's with that flange on the bottom of the canteen cup?

Is it removable? Because it looks like it serves no purpose while dirt and shit would get in around the edge there.
