The Ultimate Bigfoot Hunter Loadout

Any ideas?
I assume a 12 gauge shotgun could be enough.

If 12 gauge slugs are the go to for alaskan park rangers against brown bear, then one would think it adequate for squatch. My first thought is a double rifle in .416 rigby or .458 Lott, but considering the intelligence these animals possess, two rounds are probably not adequate. Maybe an AR in .458 socom or .50 beowulf would do the trick

      >If 12 gauge slugs are the go to for alaskan park rangers against brown bear,
As long as you use hardcast slugs. Regular slugs are pretty soft, and would not be ideal against a massive bear.

Brenneke slugs from what I understand, not the foster style.

Absolutely. The Brenneke style will literally penetrate twice as far.

    Drone with thermal camera
    Thermal monocular or ECOTI/Jerry C
    Weapon mounted thermal
    PVS-14/binos
High power rifle, ideally something semi auto and stronger than .308
    >12 gauge slug,.458, .50 Beowulf, 300 WM, .338, etc
Buddies with as much night time stuff and preferably one with a support weapon, think AR-RPK, belt fed
    >why so much expensive night time stuff anon?
    Because they’re nocturnal
    >why such high power rifle?
Anecdotal reports have them struggling off rifle fire up to 30-06. Daniel Boone killed one after it ragdolled his son, and upon dissecting it, discovered their ribs are one fused plate, they’re also almost entirely muscle, very fast, very nimble, and very stealthy. If you actually want to be successful and not just go jerk off in the woods and be scared, you need every advantage you can have because you are not the predator if you decide to fuck with them.

My advice is don’t. They are very well at night and have the ability to not only mimic sounds near perfectly, they’re also 100 stealth, and have the ability to project infrasound which has all manner of negative effects on the mind and body.
And if you do kill one, prepare to get vanned by Uber glowies.
    >inb4 take your meds
    Fuck you

      See very well at night*

Also I’m certain that they are at our level of intelligence if not smarter, so let me re-iterate my point, don’t fuck with them unless you’re in an unavoidable self defense situation.

Otherwise I’d say maintain neutral relations with them, but don’t get too buddy buddy because they might be demonic/ultra terrestrial and you don’t want to fuck with that. At all.

Rifle in .375 H&H or 45-70. If they're good enough to kill all Big Five game in Africa, they're good enough for the American Forest Ape.
Really though, if these things were ever real (they aint), then you'd have retards all across the country bagging them.
If African poachers who've never seen experienced air conditioning can bag angry chimps with antique muzzleloaders then your average American with modest means should be able to kill a Sasquatch.

It might be on the lighter side of firepower but I think my choice would be an AK. Having 30 rounds on tap with fast reloads and maybe a red dot sounds pretty nice considering how many stories I’ve heard of them living in small groups. That all comes with the caveat that I’d never consider actually trying to bag one alone, that seems like a great way to end up permanently as a missing person case.

Do you guys ever watch Bob Gymlan on YouTube? He does squatch vids and single-handedly turned me into a believer from a skeptic.

This dude doesn't sound like he believes this shit, I think he's probably an audiojournalist who went to Vassar or something and wanted to make something like Welcome to Nightvale

Idk this guy strikes me as a dude dedicated to bigfoot, have you seen his videos? He puts a lot of effort and some very compelling arguments together

I think he puts compelling stories together, difficult to evaluate without full context familiarity with primary sources. I'm going partly off voice physiognomy and narrative style and partly off the fact he uses a pseudonym. It's very similar to NPR-style murder mystery podcasts. I enjoy it though.

Same. Some of his viewer submitted stuff is superb. One in particular is a trail cam catching a trespassing hunter chasing one (probably not fully realizing what he’s aftet). The same video also catches one walking down and across a creek. Very good IMO.

I’s like to see his take on: https://youtu.be/mQ2kU6e8Huo

      >hi. im bob gymlan.
      >today. im presenting a second hand account. of something spooky.
      >yes. my voice is very monotone. and. you will probably. fall asleep.
      >behold my very detailed sketches. of what this guy said he saw.
      >no. i will not verify anything. not the physical evidence. or documents. or if my source even exists.
      >i will now follow up this 40 minute recount of a 5 minute encounter. with 20 minutes of my speculative evolution OC.
      >behold. my insane leaps in logic. to make you think. this spooky thing is real.
      >please dont notice. my. awkward pauses. for dramatic effect.
      >now. thank you. and please. support my patreon.
He's not much different than the average reddit reader commentary channels; the guy lied about his own name for brand recognition, pretty hard to trust him with anything concrete.

    Any remarkable features of bigfoot?
    Besides they're nocturnal.
I heard they have the strength of a gorilla and have a strong odor.

They’re very clever in a cunning sort of way. Probably smarter than many humans but not most. Their smarts is purely directed toward survival in forests. Their size also means they’re very fast, deceptively so in short bursts. Our minds get tricked because we see a human-like gait, but then realize his much ground they cover in such a short time.

I grew up in the mountains and woods of central Washington and one time when I was like 12 or 13 my friend/neighbor and I were riding quads out in the woods when we stopped to take a very short hike off the trail to a little pond to take a break. It was getting dark so we decided to go back to the quads and head back home, maybe a 15 minute ride or so. On the short hike back to the quads we heard a rustling sound behind us so we looked and standing in the trail maybe 10 yards behind us was a very large humanoid figure. It was getting dark and we were under the canopy so it was all shadows but I could plainly see hair all over and this thing was at least four feet taller than I was at the time. It wasn’t a bear on its hind legs, we had both seen plenty of black bear out here and this looked nothing like it. It looked like a large humanoid hairy man. My friend and I stood there staring at it for a second or two before we bolted back to our quads and sped home. It was the scariest thing I’ve ever seen but at the same time I didn’t feel like I was in any danger, it was just crossing the trail and stopped in the middle of the trail to check us out.
