top off your mags with two brass cartridges and use a brass catcher. or play dumb and ask them why. make them admit they are greedy boomers. or alternately just ust brass, but smear them all in your own shit.

Why do they not like steel casings again? Was it because they're harder to reload or they believe they're some kind of armor piercing round?

Harder on reloading equipment than brass

that's not it at all, moron.
Most ranges don't allow steel casings because its harder to detect armor piercing rounds which are usually magnetic. Allowing steel cased which is magnetic might allow some AP rounds to slip through which might void the ranges Insurance or any claims for damage they might incur from you firing AP out the back wall.
That is 100% the only reason any range ever has banned steel case ammo.

Also in Commiefornia, they have tricked people into thinking steel cased ammo in the woods will cause firesfrom sparks caused by hitting rocks.

I love spreading this rumor at the range because I end up hearing about it later from one of my coworkers who visits the range at a different time. He's always pissing and moaning about the place but never goes anywhere else.

          >That is 100% the only reason any range ever has banned steel case ammo.
This is false because I own a range and I do not allow steel case ammo because we can't reload or sell the casings. This is the first time I've ever heard of this "muh ap rounds" bullshit sounds like fuddlore cope for your local range being greedy. Yes, I am greedy. Don't like it? Get your own range it's what I did.

This, outdoor and indoor range both had employees tell me this was the main reason. Indoor also doesn't allow ap or greentip because it chews up their backstops more even if they do come in brass.

the excuse my range uses is that steel case ammo "can" spark like a flint steel if it hits the ground hard enough and ignite unburnt powder blah blah blah
I'm sure he heard about that from a guy whose friend said it happened to his uncle in the 80s, range fudds are so fricking moronic

This, trashy plebs who think saving a penny per round is worth the absolute dogshit they buy have no place among civilized folk. The need to save actually filters the nogs and tards too like you said which is a plus

Ruralite, never shot at a range before, always just gone to fields, woods, etc. Are ranges like known for being shitty and annoying? Or are the shitty ones just a minority?

Does Russian steel 9 and 5.56 even work properly? 7.62x39 obviously does, I'd assume 5.45 does too, but .45 doesn't even cycle. I know they make 9x39 and 54r steel too.

    >Are steel casings alright?
    Yep no steel core though
    >I wanna keep my brass!
    Alright we don't care
    >Can I get brass from the ones down range
Use the broom to pull it back to yourself and push the ones you don't want back down range

Many such conversations nothing is better than stun locking a boomer when he's getting argumentative about his brass and we say we don't care if he picks it up we honeslty prefer you do

doesn't matter as much now since steelcae is only like 5% cheaper than brass.

    >don't handle guns when people are down range
    >if you are doing something really stupid, that's okay! but make sure you're the only person at the range (lock the front gate)
    >clean up after yourself. throw away or take with you everything you brought, including brass (they don't care if you keep it but you have to pick it up)
    >don't intentionally shoot at rocks
    >don't shoot glass
    >don't shoot clay pigeons unless you're using a shotgun at the trap range (I don't really get this rule, but maybe they make a big mess if everyone does it)
    anyway it's pretty based
