I don’t cheap out on sights and while I don’t have any Gucci guns, I refuse to any Chinese knock off shit on them bc it’s not a matter of if, but when they break. The Samson quick flips are my new fav.
They're shotgun proof. I will shill the Romeo 5 until the day I die. It's the epitome of "just as good," there is nothing that any other 1x optic could possibly offer that gives a practical advantage over this piece of shit. I don't give a fuck, it's the modern ironsight.
Get with the times old man. You are at a sever disadvantage and you will lose any engagement if you don't have optics these days. Ideally two in your build. Irons are just added weight and a liability. There is literally no reason to have irons on, if you're at the point of needing irons you've already lost and are basically dead.
While you're struggling to hit anything over 25 yards with your irons, scopechads can hit you from 300+ yards out. An optic will absolutely save your life and you're not only doing yourself a disservice by not using optics, but you're owning guns the wrong way if you don't have optics. A gun is incomplete without an optic. Irons are functionally the same as a 5-10 round mag. Optics are an intergral part of the gun and any gun without optics is fundamentally incomplete and/or cucked.
My rifle does the trick at 200 with irons. I am getting a scope soon, but you'd better git gud with irons before graduating. There's tricks to em that you have to experience. Because you might just have to use a rifle with irons some day
idk there's a pretty legitimate application for thermals. you could get by with iron sights but thermals are quite literally a superpower in low-light conditions, sometimes in the daylight too.
Lol until you have to adjust them and break or strip the buttery soft piece of shit metal. Once upon a time i was a poorfag too. Just get the plastic magpuls you fucking loser.
I like the UTG sights better for they can actually handle recoil and not flop around and get stuck at a 45 degree angle.
No I'm not a 5.56 virgin I shoot .308 and .338 lapua that's why I like the UTG sights for they have a solid tight notch that keeps the sights steady when folded up or down that need manual depression to operate so no need to worry of recoil causing a floppy moment like with "quality" sights like magpul sights and the shit the military uses (matech, troy, knights).
My firearms instructor, a guy who had contractor experience in Iraq doing security, told me that zoom sights naturally amplified low light and made targets easier to see in those situations. Iron sights do not do this. I guess there’s a reason why military rifles are always equipped with magnified optics and you’re a no-guns on the Internet. Neat symmetry if you think about it.
This is bullshit if you know anything about optics. 5k camera lenses can't amplify light, which is very important in photography, a much larger market than tacticool optics, with a lot more R&D thrown into it. Lower-end lenses are usually slower and able to capture less light as they zoom.
Anyone ever buy these counterfeit Daniel Defense type sights off Ebay?
They okay for fucking around with?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/385433412626
Obviously not expecting them to be on par with the real deal $200 sights
but if they hold zero and don't fall apart after a couple shots, I'd totally buy a couple sets for my cheap ass no name uppers.
Whenever someone on the gundeals subreddit posts a $150ish upper with bcg deal, I usually buy one just for parts and fucking around with at the range. I have several uppers without sights and I just rotate a single pair of magpul mbus between them.
Cheap ebay sights may require some filing to get it to sit flush with the rail, BUT since they are so cheap, why not file the things until the fsb and rear aperture are centered and zeroed.
There is a knockoff kac micro on ebay or amazon that works good too. Just use threadlocker.
Thanks.
My two "main" rifles are a 16" Aero and 20" PSA with carry handle+fsb, those both have their own sights and optics.
The "reddit uppers" I mentioned are all sightless and I have a single set of plastic magpuls that I slip on or off depending on which ones are going to the range that day. Those DD knockoffs caught my eye the other day and I was just curious about them before buying a whole bunch
I got these, they work fine for me, only maybe 3k rounds so far but I fold them up and down all the time and they're maybe a little wiggly but never rattly. $50 tops, you can probably find them cheaper.
>MBUS Pro sets available for $150 >Polymer version for $80 >These are still too costly for people and they'll buy ratty knockoffs to save a measly ~$100 or less >despite sights being the means of making your rifle actually fucking usable, and rounds currently starting at $0.32 a pop
I just don't understand, am I simply not broke enough? What am I missing?
I Magpul MBUS sights, they work pretty well as they're just backups.
If you're going to shoot irons only you should invest in decent steel ones.
True
Magpul makes a steel version now
I don’t cheap out on sights and while I don’t have any Gucci guns, I refuse to any Chinese knock off shit on them bc it’s not a matter of if, but when they break. The Samson quick flips are my new fav.
>le piece of 6061 aluminum with brand X is so different than le piece of 6061 aluminum from brand Y! Line in hole so bad in brand Y!
Go to eBay get some used Knights Armament maybe a used Matech rear.
USMC marked 600m KAC is the only correct choice.
this
actually threw down for the folding front sight at its so fucking tits. the narrow post and easy adjust make them GOAT folding sights
Absolutely correct.
>get new in bag KAC for $40 with paper
>feelsgoodman
Where?
EBAY.
I like my sights like I like my woman, whatever pun.
cold, inflexible and only ever the victim of incessant peeping
>I like my sights like I like my woman
Stiff, black, and fully erect?
More like cute, fluffy and several times larger than me
... Wait, what were we talking about again?
What about these shitty BUIs? I bought these because it's all they had. Never replaced them, just got a magnified optic.
Spaced a reasonable distance away from me and unaware they're being watched while I shoot my loads.
>railed gas block
is this the amazon special? if you're below the poverty line get MBUS 3
A sig romeo 5 costs like $120 and is superior to irons for the majority of applications
*battery dies
>solar backup kicks in
WHAT NOW SURRAT
*Glass breaks
They're shotgun proof. I will shill the Romeo 5 until the day I die. It's the epitome of "just as good," there is nothing that any other 1x optic could possibly offer that gives a practical advantage over this piece of shit. I don't give a fuck, it's the modern ironsight.
Yeah no. Ive got piles of 2032s and still havejt changed the original since 2018. So yeah in theory they die but seemingly not really.
I have a whole bag full of legally acquired watch batteries to replace it
Something something about SHTF scenario that makes owning a firearm totally useless anyway.
Rebranded chink bullshit.
Buy one, dead out of the box,
Bought the AA battery version, shake awake technology, premium lithium battery dies in 1 year with light usage
>2023
>using irons

t. Zoomer who can't hit shit without muh 50x scope
>implying thats a bad thing
While you're struggling to hit anything over 25 yards with your irons, scopechads can hit you from 300+ yards out. Keep struggling to hit 300 yard targets with your sissy gay scope while I snipe morons from 500 with my irons zoomer gay
Imbecile lying delusional gay. Your iron sight 500 yard military target is the size of a jeep wrangler. Fuck you. You're not "sniping" shit.
>is the size of a jeep wrangler
so perfect equivalent to amerimutt size lmao
He could snipe ur mom
My rifle does the trick at 200 with irons. I am getting a scope soon, but you'd better git gud with irons before graduating. There's tricks to em that you have to experience. Because you might just have to use a rifle with irons some day
My sbr ak does the same at 220y with irons
>300+ yards
>intermediate cartridge
yeah
>engagement
I fucking hate zoomers they ruined firearm ownership.
how does this meme have a unix timestamp that predates og PrepHole? It looks old enough to be true though. I can tell from the jpg artifacts.
It’s probably a boomer from barfcom.
idk there's a pretty legitimate application for thermals. you could get by with iron sights but thermals are quite literally a superpower in low-light conditions, sometimes in the daylight too.
>bought those sights
>they're trash
UTG pro at a minimum.
you prolly caint een shoot good
damn 4th dubs in the past 5 minutes almost as if i dont have herpes
>his gun didn't come with sights
Enjoy your toy kiddo, bet it doesn't even have a bayonet lug either
Would these work if I locktite everything after zeroing?
Lol until you have to adjust them and break or strip the buttery soft piece of shit metal. Once upon a time i was a poorfag too. Just get the plastic magpuls you fucking loser.
Iron sights should have elevation adjustment. There, I said it. MBUS Pros, KAC, or MI.
>not using a rifle with integral iron sights
>not practicing with your irons
>relying on breakable optics
shiggydiggy
Amateurs
>kills everything in 60° cone in front of it without aiming
>sometimes kills behind too
Yeah, well, I'm a consumer. Anyone who tells you they're not is a liar.
I like the UTG sights better for they can actually handle recoil and not flop around and get stuck at a 45 degree angle.

bait
ANY sight with a hinge does not hold a reliable zero. Might as well be firing from the hip. Flip-sights are a joke. Throw them in the trash

Nothing could be more false. Your instructor was retarded.
