What sucks is that they're all so tasteless. Like if you're gonna embezzle money to buy a private yacht why not pull out all the stops and have something truly unique commissioned instead of making yet another dime a dozen billionaire boat

You gotta admit the sailing yacht "A" and motor yacht "A" look awesome.

You know what I mean, all of them except A look extremely derivative

thats because deviating would likely cost a lot more money.

What matters is the interior, not the exterior.

Interiors of those things are more tasteless than exteriors. Exterior is to an degree matter of engineering, interior outside of technical spaces and bridge isn't.

Reminder moderns are idiots unsuited to that work. Just because your teenage boymind thinks shit is cool means nothing.

Those boats aren't Congress problem because the US is not at war and the Russians too have deniable escalation options. They're Ukraine's and perhaps the ICCs issue.

They managed to make a ramp look good. For such a shit surface fleet they somehow always nail the aesthetics.

      >Her entire Harrier V/STOL jet fleet was removed from service in 2006.[2] Although Chakri Naruebet was intended for patrols and force projection in Thai waters, a lack of funding brought on by the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis meant the carrier has spent most of her career docked at the Sattahip naval base
In short (s)he was built around using a particular harrier variant only Spain produced that neither Thailand or Spain had the materials to keep them airworthy and Thailand lacked money to buy harriers from anyone else

Why did Thailand even need a carrier?

Nothing in that ship requires that particular Harrier variant. They just originally bought second hand Spanish Harriers as cheap stop gap, then Asian financial crisis hit and they couldn't afford new Harriers or F/A-18's for their air force. Their Hornets were already being built and after cancellation those were diverted to US marines.

That's not a fair comparison, since the Pajeet one is based off a Kiev-class escort carrier (smaller and less efficient in terms of internal layout), whereas the Klackon one is a Kuz.

Really puts things into perspective when you realize that literally who countries like Spain and Thailand have more functional carriers than Russia.

Indian military procurement is not pointless, but by fricking God their entire procurement process goes out of its way to be as wasteful and inefficient as possible.

Just read up on the Medium Range Combat Aircraft Controversy that fricking mired India in a 10+ year long Scandal.
