The M110/SR25 is the greatest AR platform ever adopted by a military. It is superior to any Piston system as well.

It's nice, but the suppressor makes it way too long to carry slung and the fixed stock is annoying in the age of cheap fully adjustable stocks.

How fricking ancient is that suppressor design anyway? I swear I've seen pictures of SR25s in old magazines from the early 90s with the same one mounted.

It's basically the same as the ones from back then. The early rifles had a section of the barrel threaded in front of the gas block that it screwed onto instead of the later clamp arrangement.

Something else kinda cool about those old rifles is that the gas block butted up against a shoulder on the barrel and then it was retained by that threaded ring in front of it. I don't know how secure it was vs. pins or set screws but it's unique at least.

The suppressor had to be so simple that morons in the army could use it.

it's not a 5.56, you fricking idiot, and 5.56 is just as loud as .308 because that doesn't depend on the bullet diameter at all.

It's a 308, regardless, suppressors work on 556 rifles just fine.

Why haven’t we given any to Ukraine yet? It is superior to the SVD in every way. Seems like it’d be a great force multiplier

The suppressor is ancient and could use a refresh. Also the optic. And the buttstock.
