It relies on mass, indiscriminate brutality, and a willingness to take casualties. If the war lasts longer than a few weeks, that combination leads to pyrrhic victories like Chechnya or catastrophic losses like Chechnya (again) or Afghanistan. There's no third outcome.

This is an outright fallacy. The problem with weapons being misplaced is a) our aid is misused so we're wasting our money and b) the weapons can become a problem once they end up in the black market.
The fact of the matter is that the aid seems to be put to good use and the weaponry is in high enough need that they're not ending up elsewhere. If aid succeeds in winning the war faster I support increasing aid for Ukraine. If aid for Ukraine is proven to be a problem, I'll revise my position.

When I say aid I am reffering to any and all aid including clothing, money, food, weapons etc. I will throw you a bone here and say that I am sure that armored vehicles and anti tank weapons and other high value items are likely getting where they are supposed to go.
