I am extremely surprised nobody has mentioned the extremely anti-consumer nature of the LTT screwdriver and its bits being completely non-standard. Its useless for any other bit and its bits are 100% too short for any standard 1/4" bit driver... how am I the only one to mention this? Am I literally the only human being to not mindlessly watch this video.

I'm against buying $70 screwdrivers as much as the next guy, but did you even watch the video? They're being pretty frank about how they they don't like proprietary consumables but wanted more magnetism at the tip and also fit more bits in the handle. Standard bits work just fine and fit in the bit holder fine.

        >but wanted more magnetism at the tip and also fit more bits in the handle. Standard bits work just fine and fit in the bit holder fine.
Did you even watch the video? Thats not a problem for any of the other drivers that have standard fucking bits.

there are impact bits that have short hex shafts like that, no idea about overall length.
the whole video is fucking stupid.
who cares about runout? and he's just measuring an angle from an arbitrary point on the shaft? lol.
the slop when locked out why the fuck would you measure as an inch distance and then say oh thats about x degrees angle.
this guy has literal shit for brains.
i really don't care about the results because the tests are rediculously fucked.
why does he keep saying "And the...". just say the name of the screwdriver or even better stfu and just show it.

I don't participate in the memeing of this channel on PrepHole but I do watch his test vids when it's a tool I want and this vid is so completely different from all his other ones it's clearly rigged for that Canadian gay. Every test category that would have made them look terrible was omitted and several things the guy always complains about with regards to lesser brands on other episodes he didn't mention at all here. Genuine shill episode.

While its already been talked about ad nauseam in the other thread.

        >bought $144 version of the PB swiss as a kit instead of a much cheaper $99 without the kit
        >bought the $90 overmolded instinct snap on screwdriver instead of the $70 hard handle (which is far more popular and the one the LTT was pitted against at the same exact price)
        >bought the non automotive megapro driver without a magnet and with reversible bits, instead of the megapro automotive driver with standard bits and a magnet the LTT was actually based off

Funny how his peculiar choice of tool purchases made the SnapOn screwdriver look more expensive (when its not) and the PB swiss look like its double (when its not) and the megapro look like it doesnt have a magnet or use standard bits (when it does)

Goes along with all the other peculiar things about the video like
        >ltt screwdriver is made in China
        >project farm doesn’t mention country of origin like he does in literally every other video
        >ltt screwdriver has bad warranty
        >project farm doesn’t mention warranty like he does in literally every other video
        >ltt screwdriver does worst in failure testing
        >project farm doesn’t chart the failure tests like he does in literally every other video
        >ltt screwdriver doesn’t win the bit retention test
        >project farm says category not needed and removes it, shoots LTT to the top

Its also peculiar how he only shows the internals of the Wera Megapro and the LTT when normally he shows internals of every tool.
FWIW, everyone who knows tools knows the PB Swiss and SnapOn have a much more stoutly built mechanism, so its odd he wouldnt show that in the name of objectivity.
Clearly the whole idea was only to show the Megapro and LTT were "far" different, when all they actually did was add a small plastic lever to reverse the mechanism.

People who have never seen Project Farm before may miss it, but its clear as day to everyone else it was by design a showcase for one tool.

farm doesn’t mention country of origin like he does in literally every other video

this is the thing that bothered me, half of his videos are USA vs German vs Japanese tools
yet he had german and USA and chinese technically assembled in canada he didnt even mention like he always would

Seldom are all the tools pitted against each other the same tool or size.

At least you are seeing the light for how worthless the channel has always been.
Normally they stand alone on just being bunk tests that mean literally nothing in the real world, but at least they were objective with no bias.

This time he finally had something to gain, a completely new demographic of followers from a 15 million subscriber channel who had never heard of him before.
      And boy did he capitalize.

He also forgot to mention that since they started making electric compact screwdrivers anyone with a clue doesnt use them anymore, especially for electronics with 0 torque required.
Craftsman made a god tier reversible electric screwdriver.

Maybe PrepHoletards use electric screwdrivers, but nobody in the real world does.
These ratcheting screwdrivers arent meant for electronics, hence why the LTT screwdriver is retarded in the first place. No matter how much you try, its still the wrong tool for that job.

Nobody is rebuilding parts or repairing tools and equipment with a compact electric screwdrivers.
Some may use impacts, but they are also retards who gall and ruin threads.

I go between using both a fixed driver and a ratcheting driver depending on what im doing.

Why not a ratcheting driver with a fixed mode? Too much slop?

Does anyone even like using these? I would only want one if it happened to be a torque driver. Otherwise I'll just choose between my regular screwdrivers and my electrical one.

Why not just use an impact?

      Kevin Van Dam

I do this most of the time. That’s why I love my babby 12V impact and the subcompact 18V. The subcompact especially is great because it’s brushless and it gets all of it’s power from the speed, so you can use it for smaller fasteners if you go easy on the trigger. I definitely wouldn’t use my 2000in-lb impact driver on the small stuff though, that cunt will take off lug nuts and break socket adapters and the hammer still hits pretty hard on low speeds.

I don’t know if I would use the impact driver on PH0 screws on some circuit board though. And I doubt these computer nerds buying OP’s screwdriver even know what an impact driver is
