Yes and no. The difference i think about guns vs bullshit consooming pops is guns are going to have an actual depth and much more going on that can add onto basic skills. For instance, i have fallen into the rabbit hole of high power F Class shooting world where at 1000 yards the goal is to hit a 10 inch ring, it requires patience, observation of the wind, knowledge of how weather affects your shots etc. Since i have the boomer math teacher mentality of "you're not going to have a calculator on you at all times thats why you need to know this formula." Thats expanding upon a basic skill set of calculation that adds legitimate knowledge to my brain. Ontop of that when im shooting that stuff it expands upon senses and practice in using things such as observation skills (yes this is a legitimate skill) on whats going on around you, picking up patterns and taking notes on said patterns and how they will affect my shot, etc.
But who am I kidding? For every 1 person who shoots and actually expands upon knowledge of either mechanics, physics of round, or anything else firearms has to offer. You get 100 coonsoomers who only understand rollmark, magdump into trash, and geargay larperators.
