I haven’t played in awhile, always wanted to go to something like Milsim west. From what I’ve heard, yes. A good friend of mine who’s always tried to get me to go (at the time couldn’t afford all the stuff) sends me photos and half of the Miltia guys (supposed to essentially be Russian irregular forces or DPR types) have boogboy or goofy ass spandex tier speedsoft shit lol. It’s like most of these autistic hobbies, it gets attention on the internet and randoms show up who don’t really care about fitting in or attempting to keep with the whole spirit of the event.
Or they show up to Miltia as some ultra high-speed Delta/SEAL operator with USA patches, crye everything, high-cut, DD airsoft AR-15 doing that hand-over-bore grip shit lol.
All because NATO told them they have to be regular ass infantry. Idk why but it’s always hilarious seeing how either 115 pound or 300 pound airsoft mfs feel the need to always larp as some ultra super spec ops guys despite probably not even being capable of enlisting in general. Shit looks so ridiculous also.

People do this because it's fun to roleplay. They don't actually want to be zogbots and go die for Israel. There's a really weird insecurity that a lot of soldiers or wannabe soldiers have where they see an airsofter in a military style uniform and just automatically assume that person wants to be a zogbot, it's just not the case.
Most airsofters will tell you they see it like playing a video game in real life. When you play a first person shooter, your character isn't wearing a clown uniform, in *most* FPS games they have some kind of soldier's uniform. Again, because this adds to the immersion of the game.

The 15 year old homosexuals will drive you insane.
Airsoft guns are manufactured to deliberately not be weapons. Airsoft 'gear' is manufactured to be fit for purpose as substandard toys in a game. It has no relevance to war either. It is not a form of 'training'. Military training is military training it is not airsoft. To anyone who is into either guns or has had exposure to events in places like Ukraine or other warzones milsim airsoft is utterly cringe etc Please leave and take your small plastic balls with you.

Don't see how it relates to the unspoken rule that nothing involving going outside or interacting with other people is /k/, but ok.

for a start stalker challenges negation your point regarding going out side and the old nuggetfests negate your point regarding other people but above all the greatest problem with airsoft is that it a game for children which is fine. Airsoft guns are not weapons. Airsoft guns are designed to be not weapons and airsoft gear is designed for playing a game with toy guns. The airsoft childrens game is not actually 'simulating' military engagements or combat with small arms AT ALL. This is not the board for airsoft this is

This man served. You're spend more time yelling "BANG BANG" than you ever will spend shooting blanks and live rounds
Live fire exercises were mostly gay because of all the safety measures. Sometimes you got to see cool stuff like engineers blowing up a line charge. But multi day blue vs red sim battles is where it's at.
MILES is such a shit system. Like seriously, total fricking crap. You never hit anyone and I once got a dude shoot from behind in an urban setting without me noticing and he had to come up and tap my shoulder since the fricking system didn't register
>Why not just use airsoft or paintball. The end result is the same without the extra PPE requirements or the ridiculous ammo costs.
Because MILES attached to issue rifles firing blanks whereas airsoft shit is toys for kids and nogunz manchildren that represents exactly nothing about firearms in combat
>that represents exactly nothing about firearms in combat
Have you ever performed fine motor skills while pumped up on adrenaline? When was the last time you verified your muscle memory?
Because the MILES is much more than just a lasertag. For example you can have people actually use laser designator to call artillery to the enemy position like you would really do and the system simulates the time for it to arrive from the cannons and then it takes into account if people are prone or standing when it assigns dead and wounded.
In debriefings you can show how units moved on a map and when they engaged and how accurate they were and other really useful information for training.
>Because MILES
I replied to a poster talking about simmunitions, which are about as inaccurate as airsoft BBs or paintballs while costing significantly more.

Why does anyone use simunitions then?
Travis Hayley who has killed more people in one day than everyone combined in this thread says airsoft is good training and fun. Plays with his kids. This board is full of homosexuals who don’t paintball or airsoft. They just throat Ukrainian wiener and get pissed at real operators for being cooler than them.
This is why I kinda want to do Milsim airsoft after getting out of the Army, I miss the MOUT town fighting.

Airsoft is not /k newbie. Never has been and never will be. This is weapons board.
Anything involving going outside or interacting with other people is anti /k/

why is it that redditors have been consistently fricking up board titles for over a decade?
Pls leave and take toy with you.
It did not take long the vatniks to start seething
man, I missed this shit. We used Simunition a few times too during MOUT. Best version of laser tag or paintball you can ask for.
Live fire exercises were mostly gay because of all the safety measures. Sometimes you got to see cool stuff like engineers blowing up a line charge. But multi day blue vs red sim battles is where it's at.

>he doesn’t realize you were supposed to zero the miles laser on the rifle and not just strap it on
Lmao
OPFOR also cheats out the ass too.
Ah yes the good old put camouflage over the MILES... or reverse the vehicle quickly to put a throw some mud over the MILES
Yes, we do, and it's fun as shit.
Looks like a tech school pic by the rank. He's about forty years older today.
What I really want are simunition matches but that's not really available for civilians.
Air guns replicate ballistics of simunitions.
Why not just use airsoft or paintball. The end result is the same without the extra PPE requirements or the ridiculous ammo costs.

During my Army AIT we did paintball COIN in this fake haji village against opfor dressed as hajis and it was a blast
>spend three days training and adjusting the systems for new trainees
End me.

You sound more like a zoomer gay tbh
Yes I’m 26 and enjoyed playing paintball and airsoft as a kid and see the value it has for training from research and experience.
Do you have the pads that give electrical impulse feedback like modern AGDUS?
