Tanks really can't catch a break bros...

Not only they have to deal with ATGMs, mines, fpv drones, loitering munitions, drone corrected artillery now they will also have to worry about Robo-Goats armed with antitank rocket launchers!

Is a weaponized robo-goat a good idea /k/ommandos??

But, is it smart enough to check its own backblast zone first ..?

modern tanks like merkava 4 barak have active protection and automated electronic warfare that can deal with most of these. granted only a handful are in service rn

    >Is a weaponized robo-goat a good idea /k/ommandos??
No, it needs to attack from an ambush position to realistically damage an MBT, mobility is an issue, wheather type is an issue and a on-top of that the cost will be an issue.
Just like those "loitering munitions" that cost a million bucks each, because defense contractors need to make money, get upstaged by simpe quadcopter drones dropping AT-grenades and the vulnerable top-armor of tanks or on infantry.

These stupid defense R&D fucks should get their heads out of their asses already and announce they're working on something worth their time seeing recent development
    >Robust man-portable jamming systems
    >Point-defense AA systems guarding against drones, loitering munitions or low-end cruise missiles/kamikaze drones
    >Radar or detection systems for counter-drone, loitering munitions and/or low-end cruise misile/kamikaze drones

Why would you make it a goat? Now it’s going to get fucking raped if it gets deployed to the sandbox…

The backblast takes care of that problem.

is that the exact same ali baba drone the vatniks used?
or is that a common head design?

the legs are identical too. lol. but i guess this is a cheaper "proof of concept" thing. makes more sense to use something equivalent rather than spend millions on new R&D only to find out that the concept is shit.

Russians did it first, and /k/ laughed.
Now that the Americans do the same thing, with the same "cheap" drone, they cope about "muh proof of concept thing" lmao.
      Brainwashed and mindbroken.
      Sad.

        Both had the right idea
It is a small robot with a single shot weapon; it's basically disposable
Probably better to use what's avaliable and make it as cheap as possible; just like the grenade dropping drones

      It's the same design.
I lost the link to the vid but there's a guy on it who basically explains
      >this unit isn't something that would be issued, it's an off the shelf thing we bought to test out the idea and see if it had any merit
Right now they're checking to see if a walking rocket launcher is actually a good idea or not. Robot dev comes later.

for now at least the Roбoтo is slow and noisy
so to get them into firing attitude unnoticed may be a problem
