My gun store has one for $1700. Talk me into something cheaper in a less meme cartridge. My only other guns are a 9mm pistol and an ar-9 I love pdw looking guns
My gun store has one for $1700. Talk me into something cheaper in a less meme cartridge. My only other guns are a 9mm pistol and an ar-9 I love pdw looking guns
You should get it AND sbr it. You know you want to :^)
How does one sbr something? Got an AR I want to build and I have no idea on how to do the paperwork.
It's not too hard, you should Google it. There's basically a form you fill out and mail to them, been a minute for me but I think for certain things (maybe anything) you also need the local mullah to sign off
it's dead ass easy
>do eform 1 in 15 minutes
>mail in fingerprints (do them at home it's not hard)
>wait a week
>get email saying it's approved
>engrave receiver with your name and city (gay i know but it's GayTF rules) for 25$ at local gun shop
eh just do it, whats the point in money if not to spend it
I think it's ugly AF but 50 rounds whispers to me in my sleep.
I think you should do it anon.
You guys are not helping, this literally the same reasons I’m saying to get it. It’s literally $1700 for a gun that shoots $1 micro rifle cartridges. Also you need to buy new mags if you want 50 rounds. It comes with 30 otherwise. Basically a requirement to get those mags
You can easily just cut the insert in the mag you get, the spring is the same as found in the 50 rounders.
just fricking do it, it's a lot of fun to shoot
The long barrel is VERY gay, optic height over bore is stupid high, and the trigger is worse than an AUG. also ammo is $1/rd when you can find it
>long barrel is very gay
Buy it.
>trigger is worse then the aug
Implying I’ve shot an aug.
>ammo is $1 when you can find it
Just another reason to get into reloading and also 5.56 is like 0.80 a round, so Is $1 really that much?
>.80c a round
Wherever you are getting your ammo, stop. That's worse than a normal lgs, and robbery when compared to online.
also 5.7 is a lot harder to reload, much tighter margins of safety, and the case lacquer wears out that will cause fte's
>SBR it
>there are aftermarket optic mounts that significantly lower HOB
>do you just not know how to buy ammo online?
Is that paint or did you actually find that variation? Pretty rare from my understanding.
Nevermind, just reverse image searched it.
I found it a few years ago. It is indeed a pretty rare variation, I don't think they've imported the green stock with black ring sight since like 2013.
Anyways, PS90s are a hundred bucks cheaper online and you won't have to pay your local sales tax on it either.
I'm more envious of those ring sights than anything. if you find them now they're way too much for what they are and the mount FN ships them with now is pointlessly tall, I don't care about the backup sights.
they were going for like $400-500 on fn forum when i got mine and i considered selling to buy like an aimpoint and one of those tros mounts or whatever but im glad i didnt. i spent $12 to replace the tritium in mine and its not 100% perfect but good enough.
I only paid $1500 for the rifle with the optic which is nuts, same guy I bought my tec-9 from for $350. Online too. I saw it and even though I had to move some money around, I knew i had to jump on it for that price.
What website if you don't mind me asking? Probably not GB or proxybid
are there pistol red dots with eotech style reticles?
I've seen circle-dots on holosuns before, but I can't say I've ever seen the exact eotech reticle on a pistol dot. My experience is fairly limited to be fair
Different Anon here. I’m buying a PS90 myself. How much of a pain in the dick is it to find that model of ring sight? The current one is still cool, but it doesn’t look quite the same as the one you have.
those are all the new ugly laser ring sights. notice how they aren't showing the side with the ugly ass laser battery cap. a real OG ring sight is around 400$-500$, but they are a little rare. there's one on reddit gundeals right now though.
also, (poor) people will tell you that any ring sight are a bad optic by "today's standards", but that's absolute bullshit.
it's a prism sight so astigmatism gays need not worry, looks cool, and works extremely well, especially to lower height over bore on the gun. it's literally the best in slot optic for the ps90. the people who say it's "bad" are also comparing them to 600$ eotech Holo sights or 1000$ 1.5x trijicon acogs.
Mine came with it
A forum
That's because both the serial number and my trust info is on the left side. I literally posted a photo looking down the optic and you can clearly see that there is no battery cap on the left side. The tritium is green because the only flat vials I could find in the proper size were green, every other color including red was in a round vial which is harder to position properly.
awkward gun you will drop.
>get an AR and a few cases of ammo fruitcake
5.7 out of a 16" barrel is pulling better velocity than 5.56 out of a 16" barrel. A 16" P90 is shorter than a 10" barrel AR. If compactness and performance out of shorter barrels is a consideration, P90 is something to look at. It's short barrel performance beats 5.56 performance out of short barrels (16" is short for velocity dependent .20 cal rounds) and the overall package is extremely space efficient. Even the mag placement is to allow max capacity in a balanced package. It's a fricking highly overlooked design that unfortunately will blow away in the wind soon like the FS2000 (which was not a good design imo, but shows FN will nuke production of something if it's not selling).
5.7 was adopted by NATO fairly recently. It's probably why a few new pistols have been made and AAC is talking about producing it.
Realized I should clarify, hopefully this means the ps90 will get a few more .mil/LEO contracts at least. The action movie and Stargate fans all already have one now so civilian sales are pretty dead I imagine.
It would be pretty neat to see SWAT teams kitted with them. These 10" barrel ARs they use for room clearing get shit performance out of the 5.56 round. 5.7 has the edge out of shorter barrels, even does well out of the 10" P90 which is a breeze to clear rooms with.
On an interesting note my local SWAT team had AUGs on their purchase list. Not sure if they just tested them or actually used them but shows they at least considered bullpups.
5.56 will always beat 5.7 from equivalent barrel lengths. I don’t think there is any overlap either like super short 5.56 vs long barrel 5.7. 5.56 just has a ton more powder. It is less efficient from shorter barrels than 5.7, but that’s inly because of its overbore aka potential from longer barrels.
>hopefully this means the ps90 will get a few more .mil/LEO contracts at least
Why would you care about that
The gun won't stop being manufactured so it will still be available and more ammo production making it more available and affordable.
You mean like SL-8? Oh wait..
>Single stack gimped version of the g36
They started selling them in again in 21'. My lgs has one.
I suppose the 80's is "fairly recent"....
It was officially adopted February 2021 dumbass.
Anon I'm sorry, I haven't slept well in a few days and it's making me angry. There was no reason for me to call you a dumbass for not knowing something that really shouldn't be expected to be common knowledge.
Honestly the most pathetic thing i've read on PrepHole in the shamefully long time i've been here. go back to r*ddit you fricking child
>5.7 out of a 16" barrel is pulling better velocity than 5.56 out of a 16" barrel
its bullet is 1/3 or 2/3 the mass of your generic 55 gr 5.56
It's incredibly balanced even with the longer barrel, surprisingly intuitive to use, requires very little oil to maintain, and the recoil is a joke.
Magazines suck to load and swap. it feels like an an incredibly well built nerf gun, the thing is 80% polymer. The ammo is quite expensive for fn stuff that will actually work right. I've heard people say the trigger sucks but I'm not going to talk on that because anything under 10lbs feels fine to me. The manual says to keep it immaculate to run correctly. Immaculate is the exact word it uses.
For all it's faults it's a great gun, I don't regret for an instant buying it and someone will want to talk to you at any range you bring it to. If you have any more questions just ask.
One thing I will add another anon posted about, the top rail FN ships with them is big moronic, but workable. I put a 407c on mine and it works fine. There are mounts you can swap to make it lower but it's really just a range toy for me.
It's fun.
Bullpups are either based or gay with no inbetween, and the p90 is based. It's a pleasure to shoot.
Do it anon.
I did it and i don't regret it, do it anon
I have that chair. It is aggressively mediocre. The "lean forward" tension has started to give our and now it is in a permanent degree of recline. Did you get the one with the massage and heating option?
Got it for free at an office cleanout, i don't really mind it, for a free office chair it's killer imo
your cat likes to climb that chair, give that cat some pets from me
3 isn't a large number, but more ps90 owners than I expected to see on /k/. I've never seen anyone else with one in meatspace.
>6lb straight blowback in gimped 22wmr
vs
>7lb aug with 40rd mags good to 500yd
It's weird that I never see AUGs at gun stores but PS90s pop up now and again. They're priced very similarly.
There's a 1942 dated M1 Garand and a 1941 M1 Garand with a lock bar on the rear sight at my LGS at I cant stop thinking about them. But they're 1,600 after taxes and Springfields. Talk me out of it /k/.
Get it and put a extended handguard on it. It looks so good even airsoft shitters started doing it.
ps90 gang gang
>Hensoldt red dot
Those are fun.
Get a 12 gauge lol
Might be a contrarian opinion here, but if you don't shoot sporting clays or hunt at all shotguns are kind of dumb.
>home defense
Probably the most foolproof way to defend your home, just make sure your pets aren't in the general area where you're aiming. Tired? Disoriented? Don't worry, the spread will take care of it.
The spread is negligible at home defense distances with any sort of load worth using. You can try it yourself, measure the distance of your longest hallway and shoot that far at a paper target. Unless you live in a huge house it won't spread much at all. I'd much rather have a light recoiling round I could fire quickly. This has been covered in literally every home defense thread since the inception of /k/
All that being said do whatever you want this is a ps90 thread.
Last post about shotguns so as not to derail the thread, but at 5 yards the spread is still much easier to hit a target with than if you're using a handgun, even using a hunting-length barrel. even if the spread is negligible at closer ranges, it's still easier to hit a target with. I'd take a short-barreled shotgun with buckshot loads in the middle of the night over a 9mm handgun.
>Probably the most foolproof way to defend your home,
> just make sure your pets aren't in the general area where you're aiming.
> Don't worry, the spread will take care of it.
Not sure if nogunz or smooth brain take right there.
But certainly somebody that hasn't patterned a shotgun.
Do it…. I want one but I’m increasing my revolver collection first….
O'Neill would want you to have that gun. Don't disappoint him. Do it for SG-1.
>Talk me out of it
no
they barely have recoil
they are fun to shoot
I can't talk you out of it, because you should buy it. HOWEVER, you should consider waiting and getting a better price.
If it has factory OG sights
get it
if its just a rail find one closer to 1200
Buy the gun homosexual
Wait until after shot show for the 7.5 fk version to come out
5.7 is already pricy I'm not trying to go broke.
I'd honestly shit my pants for a .223 version of the P90. PCCs just don't tickle my pickle, even if 5.7 and 7.5 are kind of rifle/pistol hybrid rounds.
>223
>direct blowback
>horizontal plane magazine
>would have to replace with an inline gas system
>DI gas piston
>223 is unweildy and fricking stupid in a p90 magazine
>put it vertical
congratulations moron, you now have an AR
No it'd be more like this. You ARgays really can't get over your one gun can you?
>It's gotta be looong and it's gotta be black else It's no good!
Hmm...
For all in tents and proposes, the RDB is a .223 P90. The top feed mag system wouldn't be good for .223 due to the length of the round making the gun too fat.
I have that one too, downward ejecting bullpups are nice for wrong handed people like me
SBR it, and buy a ring sight.
it's fun 🙂
is SBR even worth it, its already shorter than an Mp5
It's also shorter than a Skorpion
How is that stock connected to it?
Adapter plate
>posts on PrepHole
>worried about getting on the list
son, I...
>Adapter plate
Where the hell did you get that?
czechpoint-usa.com/vz-61-stock-mounting-plate
I would say that it depends on if you already have other SBR's or suppressors. The only reason to not SBR a gun like this is if you are concerned about resale value.
It's nice though. SBR and a can you still come in shorter than a MP5.
And not getting on the 'ist.
And get on the 'ist ? No thanks 🙂
Shit trigger and anemic ammo.
That gun only makes sense full auto.
>Talk me into something cheaper
The keltec P50
>in a less meme cartridge
keltec 22magnum pistol
I wish somebody made a P50 knockoff that uses 22lr or 9mm
There's a P90 kit for the 10/22, kind of odd though.
The CMR 30 is also overlooked as a survival type compact gun. 22 magnum and 5.7 aren't that far off.
>P90 kit for the 10/22, kind of odd though
Oh this is vile. What does the top "magazine" part of the kit do.
Fashion?
Holds your skittles
Use the 10 round mag and put survival supplies in the false mag. You do have limited capacity though which isn't cool. I'd take an actual P90 in .22 any fricking day, hopefully it gets made one day.
P90 magazine needs a flat wall cartridge to work. 9mm and 5.56 both have a taper to them which is why mags for those guns are curved. Would not work. Hate morons who suggest it.
Rimmed cartridge is not ideal for automatics but Kalashnikov found a way.
Every russian found a way and it is because they can't be assed to use anything else
It doesn’t have to be 5.56, but there is no reason you couldn’t simply design a scaled up p90 in a cartridge approximating the performance of 5.56, with a straight walled case. 5.7 is already 50kpsi so pressure isn’t the problem. It can be done.
7.62x39 is not rimmed. Its rim simply follows the taper angle of the rest of the case, which is why it is a hair wider, but there is no risk of rimlock with 7.62x39, the reason rimmed rounds don’t work in mags.
50 ae sbr
Want
>>buy p90
>>buy Ruger 57
71 rounds between carbine and pistol…
laugh at anyone that dares mention “muh capacity”
Might be worth it for that alone…
PSA Rock 5.7 with leupold deltapoint micro - $520

from The Castle Arms:

Buy a 10/22 and a P90 chassis for it instead.
bad deal
>Talk me out of it
It looks ugly with the long barrel. Pay the SBR tax or don't bother
>Pay the SBR tax
Hahahaha hacksaw go brrrrrrrrrr
>>I don’t think you know what a hacksaw sounds like….
P90 is a very neat gun design wise (for me)
If you like a toy and can afford it, buy the toy.
You look like a total homosexual LARPer if you own this or any other semi-auto PDW or SMG. It has basically no purpose beyond 'will go bang' and you could get multiple guns at that laughable price point that do that better with a non-gimmick round. If you buy this people will think you're an butthole when they see you with it, and they'll be 100% right.
stay mad lmao
Based. Nice collection anon
>gimmick round
Cringe, post guns with timestamp
Based
every mag of ammo is 30 dollars.
Just buy the damn pistol, why do you need p90?
I've wanted one for many years
If you're in a financial position to get it, go for it.
I say just 3d print one, but I'm a cheapskate
Can't do that I'm looking into one, I'm sold on 5.7 as an all purpose cartridge within 100-150 yards after reading some reports
