Or maybe.... people that just don't give a shit? People don't care and the attempts to make a general failed because people much rather shitpost outside. Its not a work of shills or redditors, just autistic people from different boards. Different board culture can also effect the way things work.

Black person every board has generals because a better way of discussing a topic. You can link them and go back to one’s you missed and have everything in one mega thread essentially. These gays have been here for a year and we have multiple generals up on /k/ at any given time. If they’re not shills intentionally trying to spam the board they’re actually room temperature IQ morons.

No, lol. Every board has a general to serve as containment, not as a way for discussion. PrepHole banned them because of how shit they were, but it got too out of control and decided to not enforce the ban. Generals are containments and whether the containment is good can vary. People sometimes don't give a shit and post outside of their containment, which can vary from board to board.

I don’t give a shit what the gun laws in Eastern Europe are because I have no intention of living there. Aside, what are gun laws like in most NATO countries?

                https://i.imgur.com/TrmHgoa.png

So why do you want Russia to get bigger so they can take more people's guns?
More importantly, why do you want Russia to be more powerful and influential so that they can pass resolutions at the UN giving guidelines on gun grabbing?
We know that Russia tries to influence other nations to ban things that Russia doesn't like - after all, isn't that the purpose of the "denazification"?

It literally won’t affect me. Ukraine and Russia were each others biggest trading partners before the war, even making military equipment for each other. If they blitzed Ukraine and took it all with minimal infrastructure damage then the status quo would’ve stayed the same. Now even if they take the whole country the most productive part, the eastern, is all rubble. Same for Ukraine if they retake it. The war is essentially over which side will Ukrainians Will mine lithium for and I couldn’t care less.
                https://www.nytimes.com/2022/03/02/climate/ukraine-lithium.html

Why shill for something you know is objectively shittier in every way? Why be a contrarian?

I’m not shilling anything, I just don’t believe the propaganda than one gorillon Russians are dying for every Ukrainian and that they’ll take Moscow by Christmas.
Even if they are disproportionately taking casualties at worst it’ll be like the Finnish Soviet war where the Soviets still won despite the Finns inflicting disproportionate casualties.

Do you realize the more russia has influence geopolitically, the more they can influence at home, right? They can definitely influence "gun laws" if you let them have enough influence over governments and media.

What is our current media’s influence on gun laws? Besides this is Trump-Russia collusion tier moronic. Why would Russia give a shit about gun laws in the US?

The report went further stating that of the 1,500 members of the brigade, losses were placed at 200-300 likely killed during fighting at Izium and Sloviansk, and that the unit "largely ceased to exist."[1] The unit was then directly hit by the main Ukrainian thrust during the Kharkiv counteroffensive, and afterwards ceased to be mentioned in the Russian order of battle again, corroborating reports by the Ukrainians that the Brigade's remnants had suffered 90% casualties during the offensive.

Let me explain something to you, a situation that is unique to one specific country.
A man picks up his son from school. He asks, "How was school, son?" And his son replies, "Terrible, father. My butthole is still bleeding from when my teacher fricked me. She gave me a poor mark for the day."
Enraged, the father turns the car around in a huge circle and drives back to the school, and sits his son down in front of the principal.
The father says, "Say again what you told me."
And so the son repeats, "My butthole is bleeding from when my teacher fricked my butthole, and she gave me a bad mark for the day."
The principal nods his head in agreement. "Yes, I see the problem. Your son is racist for not specifying that his teacher is also black."
Let me end this with a question, what country is this?

    So Ukraine's army is destroyed?
I really wish we could get some semi-accurate information on what is and has gone on there.
All we know is Russia is stalled and Ukraine, while getting incrementally more advanced Western gear, is also depleting the munitions reserves that are propping it up.
Ukraine needs to build about 5k cruise missiles that can strike everywhere important for Russia's war effort at the same time.

In particular his recent analysis of the Bakhmut "victory" and co:
          >The results undershot even my Z-"pessimistic" assessments from half a year ago. I was expecting not only Bakhmut, but Donetsk outskirts to be cleared, and for the frontline to shift to someplace like New York several months earlier. Today very likely represents a local maximum in terms of Russia's advances in this war.
          >it seems almost all the relevant trends are going in Ukraine's favor.
          >failure to implement a war economy does eventually result in a Ukrainian materiel and full spectrum technological advantage and then Russia stands a good chance of losing everything. Maybe UAF even occupies Bilhorod to force reparations in the event the previous provokes some kind of major political collapse.

I'm genuinely curious enough about these people that I want to discuss them further. What are their motives? Are they compensated in any way, or simply ideologically motivated (both of which are possible and not mutually exclusive)? Are they decentralised voices, or clandestinely organised? And if the not-so-unthinkable happens and Russia fails, or even collapses, how will they fare from that point forward?

This is what it boils down to in nearly all cases.
They hate America (or the Western-led system in general), which means they believe the world is ruled by the bad guys. They can only cope by telling themselves that some great hero is out there fighting against the bad guys.
They *need* to believe that Russia is the good guy and that Russia is winning. It's the only way they can make it through the day.

But at what point does the dissonance become too strong to handle? Given that we have tons of evidence of Russians committing atrocities that make My Lai look like Tuesday morning, when do they start realising that they can't rely on them to be the moral high-ground?

Easy. Ignore and conpartmentalize. Russian war crimes? What about X incident? What about America in Vietnam? In fact, the whole world system is subjugating us Russians and Chinks! You are the bad guys and everything we do is justified to cast off your big American boot!

There are so many atrocities in history by all major actors you can always find a counter atrocity to level the argument and forget about it.
The dissonance will never be too hard to handle because they find themselves in an inferior position or standing in life, whether or not that's true, and they will always be victimized. Ironically, they use Russia as a proxy between themselves and the world which they believe slighted them.

Aside from the ANA, they didn't have any substantial battle with the U.S.. the U.S. also stopped majority of its ground operations against the taliban in 2014 and by that point its just air support. The doha agreement had the U.S. agreeing to stop sending air support to the ANA and leave after the taliban commit to their anti terrorist commitments.

Fact is Wagner and the Russian Army kept throwing ill-supported frontal humann wave attacks into the teeth of dug-in defenses manned by better-trained ukrainian soldiers, and then kept pushing their untis forward until tehy were destroyed wholesale while the Ukrainians were regularily rotating their units to give them downtime and preserve experience. If you wanna claim the Russians DIDN'T suffer massively lopsided mcasualties doing that, you better find some extraordinary evidnece for your extraordinary claims.

Majority of those "alternative" sources you want place emphasis on their trust on the russian government for the sake of contrarianism. You can have multiple sources that say the same thing from the west. The main difference is that western sources are backed by multiple interests. Pro RU sources not so much.

Yeah, the same people that said Saddam had weapons of mass destruction and Iraq soldiers were killing Kuwaiti babes in hospitals. Oh and Assad using chemical weapons.

I don't blame them. For literal years MSM was going on and on about how Bush lied and there was no WMDs. Then a few years later they found them and then they shut up about it.

                Anonymous

The original reason was so twisted that it just became "saddam had No WMDs". Even though it should have been "saddam had no ACTIVE WMD programs" which is up to debate. The reason that the invasion started was the fears of terrorists getting chemical weapons and Saddam supplying them with it. Saddam then became ambiguous about his usage and developments of WMDs in order to appear strong and bush took that as a reason to invade. Saddam dropped the act at the last moment but it was too late. It all started with saddam's moronation and pussyfooting the UN.

Anon, that is talking about the program, not the supplies itself. Iraq didn't have an active program, but they still had stockpiles that they still use. The reason the U.S. government put a gag order on soldiers that got injured from it was due to it not being the one they were looking for and to prevent insurgents from trying to use it(which isis reportedly did after finding stockpiles)

Bill Whitaker: So does that affect our readiness?

Shay Assad: There's no doubt about it. You just can only buy so much, 'cause you only have so much money. And that's why I say, is it really any different than not giving a Marine enough bullets to put in his clip? It's the same thing.

Assad points to the Patriot weapons system, a pillar of air defenses for the U.S., NATO, Ukraine and Taiwan. In 2015, Assad ordered a review and Army negotiators discovered Lockheed Martin and its subcontractor, Boeing, were grossly overcharging the Pentagon and U.S. allies by hundreds of millions of dollars for the Patriot's PAC-3 missiles.

Shay Assad: And over a seven-year period these companies just keep rakin' it in.

Bill Whitaker: What level of profit are we talking about?

Shay Assad: Well-- if the average profitability that was negotiated in a firm fixed price contract was typically between 12% and 15%, so a company could make--

Bill Whitaker: --that's a good profit.

      Shay Assad: Sure.

But Shay Assad told us Pentagon analysts found total profits approached 40%.

Shay Assad: Based on what they actually made, we would've received an entire year's worth of missiles for free.
      >an entire year's worth of missiles for free.
Imagine home much more efficiently war could be waged if defence contractors weren't screwing us

Anon, governments get taxes and redistribute it to the public as an investment. Its up to those public/private sectors in what they want to do with that money. The governments job is to regulate and to manage the development in the country. There is no dilemma regarding the amount of funds that the public gets because the U.S. spends TRILLIONs on infrastructure and healthcare. The military/defense budget only makes up 3% of that budget.

It's because they're astroturfed by Russians & third worlders, so they feel forced and generally emanate an artificial feeling.

When will morons stop trying to conflate nation building with actually military successes? You can't build a nation out of inbred Arabs the same way you can with the Japanese, Koreans, or Germans, but I'm pretty sure the their standing armies were obliterated much faster. Their insurgencies weren't even a challenge as some morons say they were because near the end of the occupation, the Taliban killed less Americans than bees did. Are people so butthurt and thirsty for victory against America's overwhelming military superiority that they have to invent victories?
