Some of the light BTRs and AV's sent from Europe do, but they're side cages for protection against basic b***h RPGs

Russians do not widely issue no top attack weapons. There would be no reason for a tank commander to actually install something so ridiculous.

Not gonna lie, I want modernized Pattons so that the US can ship them to Ukraine and my uncle can finally live his life-long dream of slaughtering Russians in Eastern Europe. That old man would fight God himself if it meant going into combat in a modernized M60A3 and getting to shit on Soviet tanks.

        Anonymous

there's absolutely no reason to do that because
        >There haven't been any combat capable M60s left in the US inventory in over a decade, they were classified as obsolete in 1992 and retired from Guard service in 1997 with foreign sales meaning most were gone by the late 2000s
        >The oldest Abrams tank in active use or storage is the M1A1 SA/FEP which outclasses practically every Russian tank and would lead to far fewer deaths on the UAF side

I mostly want it just because my uncle wants to go fight in Ukraine but refuses because he's a tanker through and through. He has no interest in going into battle in Soviet dogshit.

Yes they ran out of ammo and their shell shortage + HIMARS are a big reason their artillery spam holding the hohols back over the summer has fizzled out.

They were firing 60k shells a day in July. Everyone pointed out they'd run out eventually but /chug/ laughed because they're children's who can't into logistics.

The problem now is russian industry can't even come close to replacing the ex-soviet stocks and the daily war needs, so there's going to be a shortage for the rest of the war.

Estimates from credible sources say shilling levels will drop as mobilization picks up, but there will always be a considerable level of shilling from non-Russian sources, unfortunately.

Iranian drones never had their edge. They're too inaccurate for anything other than terror bombing. They're basically V1 Rockets.

I understand that they lost all of their new tanks already and they have nothing else, but why humiliate yourself by using T-62s?

      Anonymous

T-62 is unironically safer to crew considering it doesn't have the Rapid Atmospheric Launch Module installed.

        Anonymous

If a penetrating hit gets to the carousel of a T-72 the crew are in for a bad time regardless of if it detonates. The main cause of the space launch attempts is the loose ammo stored elsewhere in the crew compartment. The autoloader can't hold enough for sustained combat so the crew just shove spare rounds whereever they can. The T-62 has the same problem of unsafe ammo storage, made worse by horrific crew ergonomics and a late 1950s armour scheme.
