>T-54 is obsol-ACK!
Park the tank in cover and turn off engine for a day. Manually traverse turret to hit Leopard 2A9 from the flank. The APCBC shell detonates inside the hull, instantly disabling the tank and killing or injuring all crew inside.
>MiG-21 is obsol-ACK!
MiG-21 is informed of F-35 that flies the same flight pattern, is scrambled to intercept. MiG-21 hides behind mountain, then sprints at f-35 at mach 1.14, quickly closing the distance between them. MiG-21 fires 6 IR missiles, and quick bursts of highly accurate and deadly twin barrel 23mm gast gun fire. While the F-35 pilot is playing with his game boy and having isekai protag monologues, the F-35 explodes in a terrible oil fireball of death.
You know, it is probably possible for an infantryman to score a kill on an enemy combatant with a rapier, but its still obsolete.
>turret is metal and heats up at a different rate from the surroundings
>shows up clear on thermal cameras anyways
>gets destroyed easily
Youre pretending as if modern thermals arent sensitive enough to read the words on traffic signs because they are slightly warmer than the rest of the reflective surface (they can)
Single word for you bud.
Spectralflage.
Isn't there a crop top thermal camo so you don't get too hot?
That wouldn't work as well as you think
But lets assume it does, then the tank turret is spotted visually by recon and marked on a map, and prematurely destroyed by artillery due to its static nature or engaged by the tanks at a longer range than it
Hu, polymers are opaque to IR. If only such technology could be used outside of some narrow militarily context.
and if you lift your head from the IR viewer for a second you see a large polytunnel
'sigh'
But then anon you have this large tank-shaped hole on your thermals, as you have everything surrounding it giving it away. You haven't hidden the tank, you've just changed the colour.
russian metals are not homosexual and thus do not give off heat you fucking chud. You will never be a woman
>the fishbed defeating an F-35
That's like the most delusional take I've seen yet. It wouldn't even see it before it was too late. And no one would inform it because they wouldn't detect the F-35 in the first place.
>humans on ground cant see a plane flying in the sky
Uh huh. Yeah.
Woah.
Anon, it wouldn't be a plane, it would be a missile fired by the plane from 20,000ft up from a few miles away.
It would take great skill and technology to know you've even been shot at, let alone do anything about it.
Someone post the mig-21 vs. f-35 copypasta
Mig21 would absolutely wreck airborne lard turd in close combat, but I would not enjoy flying a Mig21 against the airborne transfats if they were bvr.
What exactly is a "fishbed"? Is it a joke about sleeping with the fishes?
Wouldn't you like to know?
that's the most polish thing I've seen today and I manage construction sites in western Europe
That's how they conserve carp for Christmas.
>He doesn't know
It's the NATO reporting name for the Mig-21.
fishbed (n): a sedimentary stratum rich in fossil remains of fish.
nato reporting name was a way to call it antiquated
What about this one?
this one's great because unlike the atgm named fagot, how the fuck was a plane ever supposed to look like a bassoon?
that and the fact that the two-seater is mig-15UTI "midget"
>Armatard posting
>2023
I'm just happy thr GMLRS counter-poster got ridiculously vindicated in the end
>The APCBC shell detonates inside the hull, instantly disabling the tank and killing or injuring all crew inside.
You play war thunder, dont you?
>-ACK
Will this dogshit meme die already?
Zoomers have two memes, ACK and horrible wojack edits, that meme should have died a generation ago.
I don't even blame the mouthbreathers perpetuating it, I blame the gay /qa/ mods literally being too inept to contain it and shitcanning the entire board, forever ensuring the shitty meme became immortalized.
a brown bess will still blow a hole through the chest of anyone who walks in front of it but is obsolete because an AR-15 will do the same and a million other things on top of it
Someone here plays way too many video games.
easy on the war thunder dude.
just because you got the god mode achievement in game doesn't mean it's actually viable irl
You're telling me an M22 CAN'T knock out a modern MBT by hitting it in the engines and causing a fire? I don't believe you.
Tbf playing the game to get god mode achievements is the only way to have genuine fun in that shitty game anymore. Nothing more fun than shooting down modern jets with props.
>Park the tank in cover and turn off engine for a day. Manually traverse turret to hit Leopard 2A9 from the flank. The APCBC shell detonates inside the hull, instantly disabling the tank and killing or injuring all crew inside.
ask the Iraqis how that turned out for them
or even the germans
the atlantic wall used panther turrets embedded as turrets to try and defend it
operative word being try, since they ended up being glorified AT guns, but ones that were stuck wherever they were buried and unable to be redeployed
if they were already of questionable value in the days when the enemy used the mk1 eyeball to check everything, then they would be exceedingly useless in the days of thermal cameras and airborne reconnaissance that can read the newspaper out of your hands
You are aware Ukraine has been using thermal cameras to see landmines right? Do you really think the same wouldn't be true for a gigantic hunk of 1950's steel?
also you can bury T-54 under a road and remotely detonate it when T-90M drives over it. Boom! T-54 superiority confirmed.
>ACK
you are a retard shill
>Canon de 12 Gribeauval is obsol-ACK!
deploy the cannon in cover and dig in the crew. Manually aim the cannon (not like you have a choice) to hit T-14 armata from the side. The cannonball dislodges the track and gets stuck the the turret traverse system, instantly disabling the tank and forcing the crew to surrender.
Weren't those things used in WW2?
I sure hope not. Those things were used back in the American War of Independence.
They aren't designed for smokeless powder, aren't quick-firing, rifled, lack a recoil mechanism and are incapable of firing shells still using cannonball instead.
Those things are outdated even compared to guns from the Franco-Prussian war. By the time of WW2 they probably haven't produced ammo or powder for those guns for over a century.
I liked to make similar scenarios in my head when I was a kid
>MiG-21 hides behind mountain
oops, the flying gameboy doing a sortie on the other side of the mountain has already spotted you
The whole point of the F-35 is that it has no blindspots, it sees whatever other F-35s see, and together they see everything
>Park the tank in cover and turn off engine for a day. Get spotted anyway and die.
FTFY.
>
MiG-21 is informed of F-35 that flies the same flight pattern, is scrambled to intercept. MiG-21 hides behind mountain, then sprints at f-35 at mach 1.14, quickly closing the distance between them. MiG-21 is detecte disnattly and ACK'd before it can get a lock anyway. The F35 then continues to bomb its airbase, killing another dozen MiG-21s in that single sortie.
FTFY again. You'Re welcome.
So you just said no u? Logic fail.
So anon. Look. We see you. We all see you. At this point its obvious that you aren't even russian, but someone pretending to be russian to try and stoke anti-russian sentiment for a war time build up. We get it. We all fucking get it.
How about you go "hey who wants to get out of crippling debt by risking their lives and murdering people they never met?" it works every time.
Glow on little glowie.
>inb4 "im not a glowie!" say the line glowie!
Nope. This is actually my historically verified correct opinion.
Ahahahahahahahaha
There is a Romanian t55 variant which humiliated an Abrams company in an exercise.
>APCBC Shell detonated
Opinion discarded
>I meant APHE
Won't kill shit, stop getting your tank knowledge from Warthunder. It would explode and embed all its shrapnel into the anti-spall layer on the opposite side of the hull. Also implying
>Iron Fists your APHE and sets off the fuse before entry, reducing its overal penetration to 15mm RHA.
Nothin' personel, kid
>Hides behind a mountain
worlds most consistent mountain range.
>Sprints at the F35
You mean can't actually fucking find the F35 because the fucker can't use his radar and has to look through the sky with a fucking binocular for the rear perspective of the jet hes supposed to chase.
>Quickly closes the distance
F35 detects you, witchcraft avionics enter evasive maneuvers and begin to turn. IR missiles lose lock on the exhaust, and then the F35 has turned enough to fire his own missiles.
They pull about fuck you G's and fuck the Mig21 right in the cunt.
>Implying the mig21 didn't have its engine turn into a mighty fireball when it accelerated.
>It would explode and embed all its shrapnel into the anti-spall layer on the opposite side of the hull.
On the opposite side of the hull? Doesn't that imply that the shrapnel traveled across the hull from its impact point or did I misread?
>-ACK!
>Using Mig-21 with actual missiles
>When you could be shooting down F-4s with guns in a Mig-19
I hate fighting F-5s but it's always fun to mess up an F-4 with a snap shot or after they burn their energy fighting someone else
How about shooting down F-4 with missile but not my missile
-ACK
