lets be honest isn't this just a reskinned T variant tank?
no way the russians could actually build a 4th gen tank right?

It's genuinely a totally new design, it's larger than even the abrams despite weighing less and supposedly makes extensive use of spaced armour and composites.
The fact that the Russians haven't been able to build more than a couple is probably an indication that it's actually quite a modern design, if it was a bunch of cast rubbish slapped on a t72 hull they'd have dozens for their parades. The unmanned turret and extensive focus on sensors and linked systems shows at least one engineer has being paying attention to western designs and noting how game changing those elements are, as opposed to a simple more armour and big gun approach

They didn't have money for the test batch and when they did build 20 out of the original 100, the test batch was shit and it went back to the drawing table for revision.

It's in no way ready whatever "western style systems" it has, may or may not actually work as advertised.

Also, this was "cannot be used in combat" type of stuff, not minor updates.

This reminds me of when the Soviet Union was designing its spacecraft. The design bureau would come up with these amazing, incredible designs. Ideas a decade or more ahead of the west. They would send them off and they would get put into production. The Soviets would spend years working on them, and then the result would have 18 fatal flaws every one of which renders the entire product useless. So they'd make them build it again, and the next one would have fixed 2 of those flaws and now there were 3new ones.

It doesn't matter how advanced your designs are if your entire country's manufacturing base is full of retarded monkey people and so corrupt that machinery gets the copper wiring put in on the assembly line and taken out by workers before it gets packaged and sent off. They might as well design a tank that has plasma cannons and flies and has a force field. They're not capable of fucking building it.
