Been marked by the thieves guild friend. Looks like a friendly rest area for those who are in the know. You should head in

Unironically, it probably means its safe to store but not sleep. homeless people in every region have symbols they leave for other homeless. You only learn those symbols if you yourself are homeless and some other poor schmuck tells you what they mean. A coworker of mine described it once when he was homeless as "Cryptography done by alcoholics".

Are you a burger? I couldn't really imagine saying that i had an ex homeless co worker as an European.

That's because Americans aren't white bugs who live in a self-inflicted mediocrity caste and can actually rise above poverty once in a while, Eurofriend.

No, that's a thing here too dude. I learned a limited amount of them when i worked security. One was an X with a third bar through it (iirc meant 'unsafe'), one was a line of three triangles pointed downward (got told that means 'dog') and one was a diond shape with two diagonal strikes inside (which was 'guarded' or 'watched'). I know this because i ended up talking with a hobo we caught breaking in at one of the train depots.
Most often saw the unsafe and guarded ones.

I'm from Europe and I've been homeless and unlike you I'm not some noguns tourist that feels the need to pretend like poverty is exclusive to Americ**ts. No point in riding a high horse with a dildo mounted to it.

Looks like the symbol for either a stash spot or an area watched by security if you're near a railroad in the midwest.

Hobo symbols but I don't know what this one means, but they probably change them out every once in a while so people don't catch on.

These look similar to hobo-signs from my country, although they are not all that much in use these days. I didn't expect as much overlap between continents.
