Imagine being that flag bearer, shit must be annoying. Also, Swiss military is a joke and completely unneeded. Whos going to go through France and Belgium to attack the neutral Switzerland? Money would be better spent on welfare of its citizens than on the military.

First of, you are a homosexual, second the Swiss already spend more on the welfare of its citizens than almost any other country in the world.
Mostly because the just have more money.

      >go through France and Belgium
In what possible scenario would anyone have to go through Belgium to get to Swizerland? Look at a map for once in your life you moron.

I don't get it - should that be a joke about the Germans or an attempt to look smart while actually being moronic?

They are neutral, they need a strong army because they cannot depend on external support.

You can’t invade switzerland there would be a rifle behind every hole in the cheese

the holes in the cheese are disappearing and nobody knows why

We do know why and countermeasures are being taken.
Holes come from hay dust in the milk, which has been decreasing over the last decades as milk became cleaner.
We are now re adding the hay dust in the cheese production.
The holes are save, I repeat, the holes are save.

Do they even have home intruders in switzerland? It's almost impossible for foreigners to move there even if you've got a PhD and make 6 figures.

            Yes
            >Currently, it is illegal for foreign nationals from Albania, Algeria, Sri Lanka, Kosovo, Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia and Turkey to acquire, own or carry weapons and to shoot firearms in Switzerland.

They probably will design a new rifle that's based on the Stgw 90 (frick anglos and their names). The Stgw 90 is already near perfect as a military rifle so there isn't really much to be improved

        >shooting a home intruder is illegal
It's not since it counts as a life threating situation.

Ammo is under licence, and the concerned licence is the same that the one that allow you to buy... semi-automaric rifles.

Long story short, a licence that prove that you are a member of a shooting range. Before Schengen interference, it was just a basic background check to the police.

Even the daily show corrected their BS and re-uploaded it.
Watch this to correct your propaganda based "knowledge".

        In short,
        >and no ammo
BS US "News" interpretation of the following facts.
Swiss no longer get the tin-can "Taschenmunition" to keep at home in case of invasions, this policy of free ammo was stopped.
State subsidized training-ammo sold at ranges has to be used up at ranges, as it's sold below cost.
... this however does not mean that it's banned keeping privately bought ammo at home, it is perfectly fine to do so.
(even Germans can buy unlimited ammo for firearms they own ..)

        >shooting a home intruder is illegal
Legislation is based on reasonable force like in most places, shooting a drunkard vomiting on your yard is illegal. You can use deadly force, the threat to you or someone else has however to be imminent.

So the corkscrew variant of the SAK is actually in military use?

No. You have to pay a fee for it. They remove the full auto functionality. Finally they don't give you "your" rifle, its the oldest POS off the rack that was going to be decommissioned anyway. I hope that clears some of the myths around that.

Bullshit. They take the reciever and bolt, remove the auto sear, and mill out the bolt carrier so that it can't engage the auto sear. Mine still has the original serial number and the full auto markings.

Not sure why they need to replace the Swiss Arms to replace the SG55X's, it's already the perfect firearm for them.

Well the Stgw 90 had an end of issue by 2020 and 2050 being the last released out of service and private property.

Due to ignoramus being in charge the horizon for a rifle replacement issue has been pushed out towards 2050.
