The issued BEWs are uncomfortable, I need prescription lenses and these are cheap, have a seal, and stick to your face. Am I moronic?

Yeah

you're welcome anon
Are you fighting in sub-Saharan Africa?
You are maybe moronic. I mean you're posting on PrepHole so you're moronic, forget I said maybe.
Does the B in BEW stand for Ballistic? If so, swim goggles are not the right choice you fricking moron.
You're going to have to try out different better goggles than what you're issued. Everything will leave a mark after a day and give you a headache, every day for your deployment, all of which is a better option than the one time shrapnel aims for your eyes. Don't be fricking stupid.
Wear the gloves too.
Honestly ask for advice on good ballistic goggle options. I can't remember what brand I have but this is going to be subjective, your face is shaped differently than most other people so recommendations should focus on what doesn't break after a month.
Goggles that cover both eyes with one lens will USUALLY yield better vision than individual lenses, depending on how thick the frame is. Don't overtighten the band, that will give you an avoidable headache. Make it tight enough that they won't move when running and that's it.
>have a seal
why? because youre playing airsoft like a little homosexual?
I recall there being a surplus eyepro out there, swiss maybe? But it came with prescription inserts you could take to any eyeglass doctor and they could grind it to your specs.
you're already a defective unit
just stop tryingtwv4dk

What the ever loving frick does this mean? Are you just going to bust out your doctor prescribed lenses, that I assume you need in order to see to see, and super glue them into a cheap pair swimmers goggles? Did you not fully think this thread through before making it?
not sure if that's what they mean, but they do make prescription swim goggles. maybe they're cheaper than prescription BEW
You're much better off just getting prescription glasses with ANSI Z87 impact rating. I got mine for like $50 from a Walmart Vision Center, and they're goggle-esque with dust "seals" and an integrated nerd strap.
i feel like i've heard somewhere that the slight suction to get the airtight seal on swim goggles can suck your eyes out of the socket when subject to stress
Because they seal so close to your eyes, if anything hits them too hard your eyeball can get bruised/ruptured from the change in air pressure. You would need a pair of ventilated impact goggles to go over them, and at that point the swim goggles are redundant unless you're worried about particulate threats like tear gas.
I wear these steel mesh goggles made for chainsaw activities.
Zero fog
Well protected
but dust and gas can still get ya

holy frick this is a moronic product. you're better off with any kind of cheap polycarbonate glasses.

jokes on you, Ill just dip them in the pool Im fighting in to clear the fog.
