Brilliant play. Pretty sure this was just about Putin trying to show strength like he did in 2014 and 2008, but everything has gone sideways and now he's just trying to stay in the fight long enough to claim victory and not end up like Navalny after a palace coup.

I remember when the EU decreased purchasing of russian gas by 66% and all the russians were talking about how europe would freeze, lol.
Now their economy is in the toilet, nato border doubled, bridges with actually good economies burnt e.t.c. but hey at least they took some random backwater village on the border.
Russia's entire future is exporting to turdies and buying stuff from the chinese and iran at a markup because they have no other alternatives.
Or do you think the chinks are too benevolent to put a markup on a customer with no other alternatives like the iranians are doing with the shasneed?

anon, i know you're just a coping vatnik given your previous seethings on this subject, but it's not like this is an either-or situation. A country can go to war for a lot of different reasons, both material and ideological. Part of it was the energy market, part of it was russians being ass-blasted that Ukrainians would have the gall to try to leave their shithole and become an independent country, part of it was juts paranoia of le ebil western imperialists. Regardless of the precise weight given to these reasons, this entire war was an immensely moronic move on the Russians' part, and they're not gonna win no matter how hard they try.

There is another pointless NATO exercise Steadfast Defender going on. Most NATO exercises are pointless photo opportunities. Since Russia chimped out invading Ukraine, the USAF has kept a few heavy bombers in the UK. The bombers are in "Bomber Taskforce Europe".
Last year, NATO and the USAF wanted USAF bombers to fly over every NATO country for photo opportunities with the other Countries' fighter jet escorts.

Sweden have become a NATO-member, after Finland. Everyone looking at Ukraine because the war is catchier but this is the true defeat for Monke and Puccia because of its geopolitical consequences. They wanted to keep away NATO from the their borders but achieved the exact opposite. Now the Baltic Sea has become hostile territory for Puccia.

now with Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland in NATO, I think it's time to form a Viking Brigade for amphibious operations in...no country in particular, certainly not Russia

Good idea, they can do the special tiktok ops while the finnics do the actual fighting against the evil from east.

nah, Finland would need Norrbotten Regiment and Jämtland Ranger Corps to help defend Finnish Lapland, one Territorial Defence Battalion of Finnish Laplanders might be worth a division or three of Ruskis, but I doubt Putler would be playing fair when Kola Peninsula is at stake & as such would be sending a bit more than a division or three into Finnish Lapland.

I'd go fight the Ruskis there myself, but my own "tontti" is in Southern Finland using desantniki for skeet targets.

Olonets Karelians who speak their native language may be dying out in Russia, but the language survives in Finland (the number of the speakers is dwindling I give you that, but with interest towards preservation growing it won't die anytime soon), I wouldn't be surprised if there were even Olonets Karelians speaking the Olonets dialects in Finland.

Finns don't, very few things in that meme is finnish. It all comes from other finnic cultures. All of those people were all part of the Holy Roman Finnish Khaganate alongside the Fuso Ainu people.

Strange. When I was in Sweden 10 years ago those jerks were bragging about hundred of years of neutrality.

A Swede that brags about neutrality does not know their history. But unlike ignorant Swedes, their military leadership recognises foreign threats and seeks to defend against them. Besides, this is the era of a united NATO in the North, this is the new normal.

Swede here. It's mostly the leftist and the peacecucks that harp on about "mUh 100 yEaRs NeUtRaLiTy" when i reality Sweden has been unofficially allied to NATO as soon as it was formed. We even traded out Nuclear program for better nuclear power tech via the Atoms for Peace program under the implied, but never outright stated, term that NATO would come to our aid should the ruskies roll finland.
