Wrong it completely matters. The most important allies who sent the most useful stuff are as follows
                1. US
                2. UK
                3. Germany

Not a trump/desantis thing. It’s just a normies don’t understand what’s happening and will get bored of it. The general understanding I hear from friends family and coworkers is either. 1.why are we sending Ukraine billions in cash! We should be building roads! (Misunderstanding what a billion dollar aid package means). 2. We’re leaving ourselves defenseless against China! (Misunderstanding the sheer scale of the US military industrial complex and the budget). 3.Russia dindu Biden illegal war.
It all boils down to people fundamentally misunderstanding this is (mostly) existing equipment and forgetting why our military budget is so big (to kill Russians, though moreso Chinese these days).

the correct response to that bullshit is that the US should in fact be doing far more, as indeed should the UK arguably under the budapest memorandum there was a commitment to direct action to defend ukrainian territorial integrity and there is certainly an obligation to provide any aid needed to defend the territorial integrity of ukraine.

so morally the choices are, give them everything they need to defend themselves and frick the bill, or give them the fricking nukes back, or equivalents. Russia MUST be punished for violating its solemn treaty and the USA/UK must fulfill their own obligations or their word on a treaty is fricking meaningless.

hesitation to do so is driven by penny pinching and moral cowardice.

Nah, Ben Wallace (UK def sec) said the two main reasons we haven't seen Storm Shadow in Ukraine already are:
        1. No Offensive was in sight and using them without an objective would be pointless
        2. Integrating a 4/5th gen missile on a 2rd gen Soviet or Russian plane has taken some time
I think it's safe to say we will see these on SU24s.

S-400 will shoot this junk down easily

        See picrel.
Russia had in place both their S400 along with a Tor and some Pantsirs. Meanwhile Syria had been given the latest version of the S300 and upgrades to its Buk systems, which could be networked into the S400 system.
The result speaks for itself, Russias about to get fricked.

Something I've heard from an AA subject knower is that russians usually fly recon drones above 6 km altitude which puts them outside regular manpads. That's why UA asked for lmm and starstreak because they fly further. They are mostly used in anti drone capacity, which isn't interesting for videos and in which saclos isn't as much of a problem

The US is concerned about escalation getting out of control. They would also prefer if Europe led on this one, and then the follow up later with mass once it's the new status quo.

When you consider the world view Germany had prior to invasion they are now doing quite well. Germany got caught out when the invasion happened, loudly stating it was never going to happen. They have had their world view proved completely wrong and have had to adapt. The country which is truly not pulling it's weight is France.

The reason russian jammin wasn’t effective in HIMARS is because HIMARS has INS. Accuracy degrades to a 6m CEP but that’s more than enough to wreck targets. Storm shadow has INS as well

        Poland at seventh position.
Germany and Netherlands beats UK if you take their EU budget contribution into consideration.
        Fricking Japan beating fricking France!

Jesus Christ, why doesn't that fit my dearly held narratives!

France doesn't make their donation numbers public because they don't want muh multipolar thirdies to seethe too much. Plus France is into that multipolar stuff too, just not with Russia as one of the poles but USA/EU(france)/China instead.
France likely had to approve Storm Shadow since they co-developed it.

        >France doesn't make their donation numbers public
        Sure, Frog.

might want to look into who's funding those "EU institutions" that are keeping the ukrainian economy afloat - hint, it's Germany, France and Italy funding almost all of it

Shut the frick up that's the EUs way of coping that the UK has made them look like a joke since the start

Was Boris Johnson actually asked to be governor of Odessa or was that just a meme? I think he should have done it if only just for lulz. Ukes love him

Someones got to because no one here loves Tories atm
Only thing about UK in relevance to this is that foreign policy is fairly bipartisan. Even though Rishi lost massively in recent local elections (-1000 seats) and will lose the next GE almost guaranteed, our foreign policy will most likely remain the same

Any chance other nations start sending cruise missiles too? Seems like everyone waits for the bongs to break the taboo before risking it themselves

The USA has said no for now
I don't know about the French
Given the USA has said no, I doubt the Germans will do anything
Nobody else operates cruise missiles in significant number, so they'll be keeping theirs to themselves or have to send such a ridiculously token number (like, a literal handful) that it would be next to meaningless
