Look at Rob Ski's channel, AK operators union. He is the best source and I would follow his build.

I lost all respect for him after the psl videos.

anyone shilling that overpriced platform shooting an obsolete bullet is a scammer.

this, as a PSL owner the fact that he actually RECOMMENDS the gun at all is a sign he is a shill.

I'm not familiar but I like his own rifle build that I saw with the rails and he has some good info on his channel. Admittedly, I haven't watched anything from him for a couple of years.

        Anyway, do you mean this?

Eh, I don't know that I would call it shilling but yeah, I would never buy anything with the word "Century" on it.

the cheapest you can get a PSL new is 2 grand. its simply not a worthwhile investment. the absolute BIGGEST problem with the PSL is how much of a pain in the ass zeroing it is, because not only does the PSO-1 only dial in 1-mil clicks, the gun starts overheating after 5 rounds so you better get your shit dialed in on the first few shots or else you have to wait like ten minutes to fire again. its SUCH a tedious gun.

9 hole reviews bought multiple PSLs and none of them performed like the one akou shilled.
then when confronted in the comments section he said
          >yeah, the gun overheats after a few shots
the PSL is not an accurate sniper rifle nor can it be used in suppressive fire because it overheats.
it's an overpriced piece of shit.

PSLs made sense when they were around $700 and nugget food was cheap. Now they're only worth buying if you're an AK autist like Bob Sled or Mishaco.

Dude I don't want one and I wasn't trying to make this about PSL. The fact is Rob Ski knows his shit when it comes to setting up an AK and he has some good info.
I agree, the PSL is a piece of shit but people want them. In the video I linked he straight up said it wasn't accurate, though he claimed it would be with match ammo. The over-heating is a whole other issue. It's a fricking Century Arms import. Of course it's garbage.
For me, the idea is that ALL youtubers are shills and entertainers. If you aren't smart enough to filter though moronation and motives, then you definitely shouldn't be on PrepHole. I don't take any of that shit beyond my own personal assessment of it from at least several sources and user reviews.

              he's a blatant liar.
only a moron would believe his crypto ads for his store.

stock all the way, save the AKs for that wood furniture/wire folder aesthetic. not gonna waste my money putting tacticool bling on an overpriced lump of iron that can't even outshoot a $500 basic b***h PSA AR.

AK patterns don't need much bullshit. Get a side mount and an optic. Add a slotted handguard if you wanna run a light. A sling if you you wanna carry. Maybe a stock with a longer length of pull if you're not a Slavic midget. Just don't go full moron and make it a 10+ pound Zenitco abortion.

Tacticool AK is the penultimate hipster gun.
    >heavier than an AR
    >more expensive than an AR
    >4 moa barrel
Extra points if it has zenitco furniture and optic from 2000s but a bakelite magazine from 1960 lmao

      >>4 moa barrel
AK moa accuracy standard is the same as the M4.

also you specifically said M4 and I'm talking about civilian ARs that are usually 1-2 MOA

In my experience most CHF CL comblock AK barrels are capable of 1-3moa if you use good ammo, but most people are grouping tula they found on the ground lol

And yeah the military considers a 4moa barrel to be within spec for infantry rifles. In my experience they tend to do better than that, but that's still mil-spec.

also you specifically said M4 and I'm talking about civilian ARs that are usually 1-2 MOA

          >civilian ARs that are usually 1-2 MOA
Which ARs specifically? There are hundreds of different manufacturers making dozens of products at different grades. You keep shifting the goalposts on what "counts" here line a disengenuous homosexual but that anon is correct: the guns tend to be pretty comparable and the biggest limiting factor of accuracy in both platforms if built correctly is the round.

NTA but he's getting that from the acceptance standard for an M4 is something like 3 or 4 MOA. But any AR that isn't dog shit should exceed that easily. its an inherently accurate platform.

I've never seen a 1 MOA AK. I have seen 1 MOA ARs. They aren't hard to make. The most important part is getting a quality barrel and making sure its installed properly.

The Russian military's requirement for the AK is 4moa the same way the US military's requirement for the M4 is 4moa.

also you specifically said M4 and I'm talking about civilian ARs that are usually 1-2 MOA

Put a freefloat rail on an AK and the accuracy tightens up to 2-3moa. So yes if you go down to the gun store and buy a WASR-10 off the shelf, it will have worse accuracy than a civilian AR-15 that comes with a freefloated handguard already. You were specifically talking about Zenitco handguards which are freefloated.
